A fresh flour tortilla filled with refried beans, cheese, and crema, with the option to add extras like eggs, avocado, or different meats. I knew this had to be where Kyler experienced his very first baleada. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Kyler isn't the most adventurous eater, so getting his stamp of approval is a pretty big deal. He's officially a fan for life! We were there with my mom, and all three of us ordered some variation of a baleada along with pupusas to share. I also had to introduce Kyler to our version of horchata, which is different from the Mexican horchata he was used to. As an added bonus, we happened to visit during the World Cup, and the energy in the restaurant made the experience even more fun. Between the familiar flavors, sharing a piece of my culture with someone I love, and the consistently great food, this meal ended up being one of the highlights of our trip back to Maryland.
