I don't often get my nails done. But I see why people are boycotting Tips and Toes in the Goldsboro NC mall. While sitting down the owner pushed me back in the chair. I have never experienced this type of customer service. I had received a call and I was engaged in my call. While getting myself settled the guy pushed me on my shoulder to sit back In the massage chair. I know they don't respect us but really, he pushed me back. The pedicure massage chair I was in didn't function, the woman doing my pedicure didn't perform half of the steps and the service lasted 30 minutes from the time I sat in the chair till I was done, including the time I waited to be attended to after being seated. I am new to the area and I am having a difficult time finding a decent nail place. This place was really affordable. I received gel shellac on my nails and for a pedicure about 13 days ago. The pedicure is staying on really good. My nails started to chip within 3 days. I have been getting my nails shellac for 2 years, and have never had them break. Absolutely terrible service. The lady doing my eyebrows didn't even say hi-or anything really-before starting my eyebrows. She was going so fast through the service and of course when she was done it looked like shit. This is sad to me because he first time I went here a few weeks ago, another lady did my wax and she neither greeted me or said anything either but she at least did a good job on my brows. Me and my mom went here for mani pedis and I can honestly say this place is the worst nail saloon we've ever visited. The man that did her manicure was rushing her through so fast. He did not cut her nails and the tips were still rough even though he filed them. She was done with her manicure before the other woman beside her that was started at the same time had even started on the polish. I went out of my way to ask and they were apparently receiving the same type of manicure. In addition to my moms terrible service they don't use good products. My mom took her polish off two days later because she was so unhappy with the manicure and only had to use one cotton ball. My manicure chipped at my DESK JOB only three days in. Half of my thumbs nail color was gone. I have never had that happen before after getting my nails done at a saloon. I normally would go to Tips N Toes however, the past few times I've gone they haven't listened to what I wanted exactly. I can tell them I want something and show them a picture and they'll nod and say they can do it and some how I still get something completely different than what I asked for. Mind you, the majority of the time I get a French manicure or a solid subtle color because I don't like anything crazy or bright on my nails. I used to think very highly of them but they just haven't been delivering like I've wanted. I even brought one of my close friends there and she got a French tip done, which cost her $50 when it's normally $30-$35 and she didn't even get the gel, and then one of her nails broke the next day. Just overall not great quality lately, and prices change every time. read more

I have gone to tips n toes several times for special occasions and to get manicures of my real nails not fill ins or such and pedicures they have always done a terrific job but I went in this weekend to get my nails french tipped again and my polish bubbled up and the gentlman I believe his name of tim said need another coat of polish and sit under the light to dry longer sat under light the first time 10 minutes the second time 20 and same results. I am very disappointed I have recommended them to several people and I myself do not live in wayne co. I travel 45 minutes just to get my nails done and went home and did them myself and they looked much better. VERY UPSET I HAVE NEVER RECIEVED THIS TPYE OF TREATMENT BEFORE!!! TERRIBLE. BEWARE. UNSANITARY. I went in to get a gel manicure today. The nail tech started pushing my cuticles without soaking them and then went to get water. She pushed them quickly and then tried to use dirty nippers (you could see skin in them). She used every excuse possible. Once she started polishing, she put globs of polish on and pained over my cuticles (gel is supposed to last but not when it's pained on your skin). I saw a hair on my nail and she got upset and started painting over it. I asked her if she could remove it and she said if I paint over it you won't see it! BUT THERE IS STILL A HAIR UNDER MY NAIL POLISH. I spoke to the owner who didn't care about any of this and said if I came back Monday or Tuesday he would try to fix it. TODAY IS SATURDAY, you want me to come in 2-3 days AFTER the fact??? Terrible service, terrible ownership, nobody apologized and they will no longer get my business. This place is horrible! The guy that did my fill in was nice until I told him to please go back and fix the sharp edges and the bumps on my nails. He started talking to his coworkers in their language...and I KNOW they were talking about me since they were looking at me and laughing. Next, the girl that was do to my designs said she could do what I wanted..well she ended up saying it was too hard and couldn't use gel polish. Ok, well why say you can? Before she started I asked for the price then after she finished she said it will be $5 more for gel overcoat, which she didn't include it in the beginning. Then the owner comes over smears the polish and condescendingly says "oops you messed up your nails". That's when the tears started rolling, it's unthinkable how rude these people are. I told the owner that I wanted them to get rid of the polish since she had already messed it up, and she said "ok, but you sill have to pay". I payed $40 for a badly done fill-in and no polish. They let me walk out of their salon crying and my nails a hot mess. Why go into business if you have no social skills and you don't like admitting when you're wrong?
