Prime rib sandwich
Patty D.

Found this restaurant while on vacation. Cute establishment with a large menu. We ordered the Chicken sandwich and prime rib sandwiche with fries and the chicken pot pie soup. The soup was warm but very tasty. The sandwichs were delicious and large. Fries were hot and fresh. The waitress was very nice but service was very slow.

Beer selection was pretty good. Table side manor was lacking. I can't tell you the waitress's name because she never introduced herself. She also never asked us if we needed anything during our lackluster meal. The short rib tacos description on the menu is nothing compared to what was delivered. We also ordered the filet kabob...looked and tasted like stew meat. This was our second time at the restaurant and we were hopeful for a better outcome and sadly we were disappointed.

We had been here before a few years ago and it was okay. We came again today, 2 Oct 25, and they have stepped up their game. Food was awesome! We had the Steak Diane, stuffed salmon, the grilled chicken and Swiss sandwich, ahi tuna super food salad. All excellently done!! The drinks were also outstanding. The watermelon drink was really good. Our waitress, Mary, was very good. She knew her stuff. Would come here again and again. Highly recommended!!!

Otw up north to Michigan, we wanted to find a great spot between Flint and Millersburg and my wife found this GEM . Cute. Family-feel, steak was awesome, Sangria homemade and a great atmosphere. (2) Steak Diane's (2) Sangrias (5) stars

Crème brulee

The food was delicious. Had the coconut shrimp mini tacos....delicious! The brussel sprout and the artichoke appetizers were so good too. Ended with the crème brulee and it was to die for..so creamy and smooth!

Tipsy Burger meat and bread were outstanding!

Found Tipsy on yelp thought it looked interesting and wow was it. Greta was so pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was great right down to the butter scotch Bundt cake Ala mode. Loved the salad mix and the beef of the Tipsy burger was so yummy! We be live near Detroit and wish we could find a place this cozy near us.

People driving I-75 are lucky to have a close shot to Tipsy Bear. Some local fans drive an hour from Oscoda and 30 minutes from Tawas. No matter where you're at, it's worth the drive to Tipsy Bear. The food, wine selection , and bar never disappoint. And if you're lucky enough to meet the Tipsy Bear himself, the meal is that much more memorable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Excellent food. Excellent service! Came in at 7:45pm after being on the road for 8 hours (still had 2 more hours to go) was treated great even when first waitress didn't want to take our table 2nd one came in and saved the day! She was great! Accommodated us and five other tables while the older lady grumbled how she just wanted to go home!! Ended up getting an awesome dessert to boot, never felt pressured to leave even though it was well after closing time by then! Would definitely recommend to anyone coming through town!!

Trying out the Tipsy Bear Bistro!

I am usually hard pressed for a 5 star but based on the food and service I couldn't give anything other than a five!! Mary was a fabulous and attentive server. I won't go through our food because it was all delicious!! And I'm not exaggerating either (ictures attached). The atmosphere is a mix between bistro and wine bar and maybe throw in a little Italian to boot! It's comfortable but might get noisy if it were full. We came at 1ish so it was pretty quiet. Prices are typical and for the quality is the food, well worth it! Parking is a little tight but there is ample parking across the side street. I want to make another day trip just to eat here and try something else. Mary told us the sauces are all homemade and the raspberry bbq (on the side) for the brisket grilled cheese is good enough to eat with a spoon! Stop in and give your taste buds a thrill!

Checked in here tonight and was delighted to discover a 10% off entire bill coupon on our phone for our visit. Devin the bartender provided us with courteous and prompt attention. Lately we have felt ignored by bar wait staff as we are not drinkers and only there to eat but we did not feel that way this evening. Food quality was excellent. My quesadilla and southwest salad was extremely flavorful and my wife had a couple of filet medallions that were both cooked perfectly with amazing flavor. Her veggies were also very good. I also had a cup of tomato bisque which was very good. We will return another time when visiting northern MI

Don't judge by the outside - we had the lunch special and it was great - just a little on the noisy side - good service

Amazing food, service, staff and prices! A hidden gem. Korean kebabs and Calamari were best we've had!

A slice of homemade bread with butter was a nice touch. I had a delicious Cheboygan blood orange beer and a glass of decent Malbec with my "steak." Sadly the rest of the food was disappointing. I ordered the t-bone special. For $18 in today's economy, I thought this was a steal. However, the cut was approximately 1/4" thick. The flavor wasn't bad but there was no meat to sink my teeth into and it was tough even though it was cooked correctly to my medium rare preference. It was also covered in onions - not sure why - which were undercooked. The baked potato was tiny by steakhouse standards. The salad mix and shredded cheese came out of a bag, though the croutons and cucumber slices were fresh and crunchy. I dined here while traveling in the summer several years ago and was looking forward to another good meal in a local restaurant. Tonight's meal sadly fell short. I feel like I should've eaten at the nearby Applebee's or Culver's. At least it would have been predictable. I hope that this establishment returns to its former standards.

We have been going to Mac's for about nine years now. We usually go for breakfast. Their food and…read morewait staff are great. However, they have been raising their prices every year. So that is my reason for only 4 stars. We went there in January of this year for breakfast. My wife had a bacon and cheese omelette, I had a sausage and cheese omelette, both come with toast and hash browns. I also had a side of sausage gravy. I had coffee, my wife had a soda. The bill was $42, we left a $7 tip which brought our total to $49 for breakfast. They charge a 3% fee for debit or credit cards, that takes you to $50 for breakfast. I understand that food prices have been going up, along with the egg shortage due to the bird flu. However, the egg shortage is over, but the prices at Mac's haven't come down. During the shortage, eggs were $6 - $8 a dozen or more depending where you shopped. Today I can buy a case of 60 gage free large eggs at Wal Mart for $9.56, that's about $.016 per egg. The omelettes at Mac's are made with 3 eggs. So that's $0.48 for a 3 egg omelette plus the sausage and cheese. For $9.56, I can make 20-3 egg omelettes. Also, I'm sure restaurants pay less as they are buying their supplies in bulk.

My eggs were cooked to order; the bacon was hot and exactly how I like it; & the dollar sized pancakes were thick and perfect. This is a smaller place and that size and the friendly people made this a place I will return to.
