This place is exactly what you think it is. It's a factory and businessman's bar. Sports on the TVs as well as Charmed for a little eye candy. The bartender was fast efficient and very nice. Her suggestions on the menu were spot on. The food was good, but the atmosphere probably was better if you like an upscale hole in the wall bar. Overall, it was a good experience. I would come back again, but there were definitely areas that could improve a future visit. I ordered the fried breaded chicken wings tossed in buffalo sauce with a side of Ranch and Celery. The wings were pretty crispy and flavorful. However, a bit of a downside is that in my order of 20 wings all of them were all legs. There were no flats. Also, I only got 4 small sticks of celery (I wish I got more for the volume of wings I had). To reiterate, they were very tasty despite that. The service can be improved. It was very slow, and I feel like the server could have came by to check on us more. The server was pretty nice though. However, this seems to be an ongoing problem because I have frequented here a lot. Service speed is always a hit or miss. Expect to stick around a while. The Ambiance was alright. I think the booth area is being renovated, which is where I prefer to sit because it's way too loud on the floor by the bar. It was loud to the point I had to scream at the person sitting across from me so they could hear what I was saying. I should mention it wasn't unbearable, just not ideal if we wanted to have an in-depth conversation. I hope the booth section will come back soon. read more

The blue cheese dressing is in house and I tell you it's the best I have ever had. They go great with the tipsy naked chicken wings. So delicious . I had a Moscow Mule with berry amaretto. I've never heard of this place until one of my friends recommended it that I was going to lunch with yesterday, so I didn't really know what to expect. It was an easy location to find, and even though its a bit of a dive bar, it's not that bad. (I've seen worse folks, I really have.) Walking in, the place is pitch black. I mean, to the point that I wonder if their trying to save money on their electric bill, hide flaws in the food (which is good) or make someone look prettier due to the dark lighting and high beer input that one could easily have here any given night of the week. We reviewed the menu and there were a few things that caught my eye. I was starving, so I figured I would eat just about anything they put in front of me at this point. I went with the loaded tater tots with no bacon (because I don't eat pork) and got a sprite with a water. When the food came out, it actually looked and taste awesome. The tater tots were presente really nicely, with colorful toppings. I like what they did here. They weren't trying too hard to overdue it, and it was actually really good. I was full afterwards and the food alone was great. My friend got the wings because she was told that they were close to tasting like sweetwater taverns downtown. We both have eaten there separately and have the same taste buds in regards to what we think and can compare them realistically. The wings were okay, but definitely not sweetwaters good. I tasted two of them and they were good, but I liked my tater tots better. I will say, even though this place is a dive bar, the food here is legit and good. Service was mediocre and my poor waitress was working alone. She apologized and said that she was working alone until 3. I felt bad for her, and she did her best, but she really was trying hard to manage the place on her own. Overall, it's not a first date spot or anywhere I would take my parents too, but a great place to go with a friend, eat drink and be merry. read more

To be fair, we were warned about the bad drinks and service but risked it for the whisperings of good food. Unfortunately, our warnings were more than accurate. If you are able to look past terrible service and awful mixed drinks that taste of pure grenadine, the food is pretty great. Three stars is generous as the food barely overcame the service. From the 15 minute delay in drinks-- where we had to remind our server who responded with a complaint that the bartender takes a break every fifteen minutes and as a server she is not allowed to make drinks, to the bartender herself coming up to the table and insulting us for being on our cell phones, we were extremely dissatisfied with the service. Fortunately, we had two pizzas -- meat lovers and the pulled pork pizza (where they forgot to add the coleslaw as listed on the menu) and a calzone that helped counter the remaining experience. The pizza is Detroit style deep dish and was loaded with toppings (aside for the missing one), and the calzone also fully stacked with toppings as well! We also are ranch fanatics and their's was great. We absolutely loved the pizza and will potentially be back. Next time with even lower expectations on service and high hopes on the food. read more

I met a friend of mine there on Monday the 24th. We go there probably an average once per week. We play Kenotogether, most all the time have something to eat, and several drinks. We've been coming there for a good while and I have no complaints up until now. most of the time a very beautiful server named Kay takes care of us and she is absolutely excellent. Kay was not there this past Monday and we had a different server named Cate. although she passed by our table many times we would go 10 minutes with our drinks empty. We would have to ask her for one. She wouldn't even look at our table when she walked by. She had a bad attitude. And when I got my bill, I questioned it because I ordered well whiskey on the rocks. I had several of them. my tab charge me for Crown Royal. And she said oh I thought that's what you wanted. I have never had any confusion like this about what I drink. Has never got it wrong. Nor any other place around I go to has ever gotten it wrong. I had an $82 tab because it was full of Crown not order. When I mentioned this to her, there was no offer to mitigate this whatsoever. I really like this place it's got a dive bar feel but it's very well taken care of and everything as I clean and the service is really nice. I ordered the fish and chips special which was really really good they give you a large portion of fish and it can easily be split among two people so it's great if you want to go here for drinks and then maybe just get one meal to split. The fries are really good firm on the outside tender on the inside and they have live music here. I want to here to see a live act and got to hear a guitar player and got to hear a jazz saxophone musician named Jaylin and he was just absolutely awesome. It's a really cool place that they have open mic night at and bring in professionals that something that you don't sing see a lot of where they have both. But if you feel inspired by the act that night and want to go up there and sing your heart out this is the place to do it out in the crowd will cheer you wan no matter if you're as good as Whitney Houston or as bad as a bag of cats. Over the last couple of years I have become very fond of Tipsy's. Once I heard they started hosting trivia nights on Mondays and have recurring Harry Potter themed nights, it's a place I visit quite often. But it's not just about the Harry Potter trivia nights here. The food is surprisingly excellent. Their specialty is their Tipsy Wings, which are jumbo drums and flats grilled up and tossed in their own Tipsy's sauce. I've had their wings, pizza, burgers, and a bunch of various appetizers/sides and have yet to be disappointed! The service is pretty decent most of the time. I've been on Saint Patrick's Day (where there were not many people inside) and it took forever to get drinks. Some bartenders would just stand there and not even make eye contact, doing nothing for a couple of minutes before even acknowledging you. But on a regular night everyone is seemingly friendly and rarely let your glass get empty. read more

I love this place. Not just because of the name...but that helps. Not just because of the waitresses...but that helps. Not just because they have a shot-ski...but that helps. It's not even just because I'm really going to need someone to explain to me how I can drink there all night, buy drinks for other people, a round or two of shots here and there...and I still wind up with a cheaper bar tab than any other bar I typically hit. This is just a great place. Everyone who works there is open, friendly, and wants you to have a great time. There's karaoke if you're into that. There are lots of TV's if you're there to catch a game. There's a giant, humongous burger that if you're in the mood to give yourself a coronary you can try to eat. The fries are hand cut and awesome. The buffalo chicken wrap has a perfect kick to it. The sandwiches are great...in fact, just to save time, let's just put it out there that "neither I nor anyone I've ever been there with has ever said anything less than outstanding about the food there". Nice little dive bar that offers some pretty tasty food and good drinks. The couple times I have been, the service has been on point and friendly. They offer trivia nights (like Harry Potter), darts, and I Karaoke. My work had a Christmas party here one year and they brought in a karaoke DJ in upon request. I would recommend checking this place out when in the area. Update: I ordered a Cobb salad last time I was here with oil and vinegar dressing. Disappointing. While the chicken in the salad was good and seasoned, there was no egg and it barely had any cheese. The oil and vinegar bottles were very grimy, obvious that they are never wiped down. Additionally, I ordered a side of fries. They were super soggy still, like they were barely in the fryer, which was most likely the case because I bit into a completely raw French Fry at one point. I work across the street from this place. For years I laughed at the ridiculous name and never even remotely considered going there. A co-worker recently said the food is actually pretty good. I checked out the yelp reviews, saw 4 stars, and thought why not give it a shot? I gave it a shot and will never return. Four of us went in there for lunch today. I get that it's a bar, but wow is it dark in there for being the middle of the day. While waiting for the waitress to come around, I shifted in my chair and my clothes stuck to the chair a bit. Dried beer? Food? I don't know. Too dark in there to tell. I ordered a pastrami and swiss sandwich. The menu said "over 1/2 pound of pastrami". I didn't have a scale with me, but I'd bet my life savings the amount of pastrami on my sandwich was nowhere near 1/2 pound. I would guess it was a lot closer to 1/4 pound than 1/2. The sandwich came with nothing. No fries, no chips, no pickle. Nothing. Just a sandwich on a plate. For $8.95. The service was not good, either. Our waitress was not very attentive. She messed up one guy's order (asked for mushrooms and no onion on burger, got onion but not mushrooms). We had to wait for silverware and napkins. We had to wait for a while after everyone was done eating for her to bring the bill. The bottom line is it was every bit the dump that I expected it would be until fooled by my co-workers input and the 4-star reviews on this site. Might be perfectly fine for getting drunk and playing trivia, but I definitely wouldn't recommend eating there. read more

We have been here off and on for the past year and service has been hit or miss but today the bartender Megan was great and friendly. I always get their big Cuban sandwich and ofc tipsy wings. Worst service ever! The Chicken Cordon Bleu.... apparently the "cook" doesn't know the difference between ham and turkey. When brought to the attention of the dim witted waitress (who can't tell the difference between ranch and Italian dressing), she tells me the cook insists it's ham. He then comes out and proceeds to full on argue with me and yell at me over the ham/turkey. He blamed his distributor and said they changed the type of ham they normally bring. Did they change the ham to turkey? It looked like turkey. It tasted like turkey. It was turkey. The chicken tenders were actually chicken but it was too bad they were cooked in the same oil as the fish. All we could taste was fish. Since the new owners have taken over, the device has diminished. The quality of food...even worse. If I could give this zero stars I would. Save yourself the time. read more
