I wanted to wait a bit before writing a review for this salon since it was our first time and sometimes the nails look great when you leave the salon , then they start to break or come off within the first week. Not this time !!! Leah did an amazing job with my nails. It is been 21 days now and It's time for refill. After having lunch at Dania Pointe we decided to walk around and found this nail place. We all decided on pedi and I decided on mani/pedi. I have done gel for many years but decided on acrylic today .. we had Leah - she did my acrylic. Viola and Kiara did our pedi. Two weeks ago I came here to have a pedicure which I enjoyed very much. Making the appointment online was simple. This is a huge plaza so I was excited to find a parking spot right in front of the salon. First, I must mention the salon is immaculate. Very, very clean. And second, Tipsy is beautiful! Ultra modern, but those chandeliers are stunning! The girl who did my pedicure was very thorough and she did a great job on my calluses. The foot/leg massage was really nice, especially when she used the scrub. There were fresh oranges involved too, but honestly I don't know what if any health benefits they bring to the pedicure. Benefits or no benefits, the orange slices felt so good being rubbed into my legs not to mention my pedicure experience smelled so good! This was definitely one of the more relaxing pedicures I have had in a very long time. I was offered a complimentary bottle of water, mimosa or just juice. I accepted the cold bottle of water. They also have a beer and wine menu. Nice touch. I was surprised that there were no dividers between the pedicure stations and I don't remember seeing any at the manicure stations either. There could have been but I don't remember since I didn't have a manicure and my memory isn't what it used to be. On a positive note, the staff members were all wearing masks. The girls working there are really down to earth too. I will be back for another pedicure sooner than later. I will update my review after my next appointment. NEVER AGAIN this place charges for every single thing, which is absolutely ridiculous. hidden pricing along with not owning up to the shady, unclear service options are why i will not be returning. there is no reason why i'm paying $150 for a gel mani (with builder gel or liquid gel as they call it) + gel pedi. nothing exceptional. no additional massage or treatment. a BASIC service. they charged for removal, which some places do and some don't. what really got me is this: - they charged for nail shaping. i have had almond shaped nails for months. she did not reshape my nails. she did the standard nail filing. $7 - they charged for *basic* cuticle work which is absolutely nuts to me. i asked the woman doing my nails if she would be doing any cuticle trimming and she said "oh, after." she didn't say it would cost an additional amount. why isn't cuticle work included in an already expensive gel manicure??? $10 - the manager or whoever, tried to gaslight me when i asked about the cuticle charge. she literally said "oh the woman doing your nails doesn't speak english well so she couldn't tell you it cost extra." maybe that's the case, but if you had clear and upfront pricing, i would have known beforehand. - they call themselves "tipsy salonbar" but charge for the drinks! for their outrageous pricing, the least they can do is provide a complimentary beverage! i travel often and have yet to find a decent nail salon in south florida, unfortunately. the actual manicure and pedicure i received were decent but nothing extraordinary. the service staff was kind. the facilities were clean. but the shady pricing is the reason i will not be returning. if you still want to give them a try, ASK FOR DETAILED PRICING UPFRONT. read more

I have gone here several times and have had decent experiences but today I went and it prompted me to make this review. I requested a basic pedicure but Ken insisted on an added five minute massage. I said, "No, I'm fine" but he proceeded. It was strange but whatever, I let that go. He went on to paint my toe nails with my foot placed on his thigh. I don't really consider myself prudish or quick to judge but it seemed icky. He also only did it when others were not around, I noticed. A coworker came by and he painted my nails from the block. It was just very uncomfortable and I feel bad writing this review but it could have been very different if I were another woman. read more

Previously had a wonderful pedicure with one of their esthetician. Went back a month later asked for the same person and was told to be there at a certain time. When I arrived to my surprise (not really) she was finishing someone else and now was told someone else would take care of me. If I could tell you of the horrible experience this time around! Practically paid $70 plus tip (which wasn't even earned) for toe nails being clipped and polished! Let's start that she peeled my previous gel polish off instead of soaking and buffing, then clip and painted my toes before soaking my feet and scrubbing/buffing! I was horrified and even the tech next to me made eye contact and was like WTH... I previously got my pedi's at Vanity Projects in the Design District... contrary to the gas prices, I may need to start driving back because I'm paying more for worse service! Ugh read more

Literally had to walk out and still got charged!! Went in for a dip on my natural long nails. One had broken and needed a tip. Tech proceeds to cut my nails shorter, trying to tell me that "no they look fine". I asked for tips to be placed in all my nails, to get them back to the length I originally asked for. Again I get push back, and the tech started to get annoyed with me. She finally ads the tips, leaving them too long, and barely glueing them on. As you can can see on the picture, the nail was already lifting. At this point she got more annoyed that the nails were still not right. After an hour there, I just couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave. I was charged for the soak off and the tips! Can you believe it?? Now I'm driving around trying to find someone to fix this mess. Save yourself the trouble. The free mimosa is not worth it. read more

If i could give zero stars I would. The esthetic is nice but the technicians are not good. I got dip with extensions and a basic pedicure. I picked a dark sparkle color that was beautiful. The tech advised me to get a top coat (which I did not want) but I assumed she knew what she was talking about. She did not. The top coat completely changed the nail color and she would not redo my nails. On top of that, she did such a messy job with the powder that she drilled the edges of my nails too much. It's been less than a week and my nails look like they already need to be filled asap. Also, they do not give you a manicure before putting on your extensions. That's an extra cost. The pedicure was mediocre but manageable. Assume they will not polish your toes well. I had to constantly ask the tech to do basic pedicure measures. I don't want to teach my tech how to do their job. This was not worth the amount of money I paid. They will also charge you extra for everything they can. Beware and go somewhere else! It just looks pretty but it is not a pretty experience. I do not recommend. read more

This was my first time here as I always walked past it in awe whenever I was shopping at Dania Pointe. I am so glad I stopped in because my experience was immaculate! I came in for a pedicure and upon entering they took my info and asked if I would like a complimentary drink. I was excited about this because I thought you had to purchase the first drink. I received a gel pedicure and the nail tech was so knowledgeable. I had an ingrown toe nail that was causing pain and she was able to give me some info on how to fix it. I mean how hard is it to paint your toes in a 20 minute pedicure? Called spoke with the owner Kevin for these prices people shouldn't be unconvinced to your 3 day policy. Do it right the first time.. Seems all the Yelp reviews state the same. You have a sign you are on Yelp. Check your reviews everyone is complaining the same thing. $102 for a dip manicure and pedicure ($45 pedicure, $57 manicure). A little more expensive than what I'm used to paying but not outrageous. The woman who did my Tipsy pedicure did a phenomenal job, I wish I had gotten her name. She took her time with the scrub and massage, got all the dead skin, and buffed/filed/painted my toes so so cute. My feet are so soft. 5 stars easy. For the price I think the manicure was 2.5-3 stars. It was rushed, bare bones, little attention to detail, and as a result it turned out fair. The dip application and shaping is uneven and my cuticles are rough. I couldn't tell the extent because of the oil but now that I'm home I can see where the drill messed them up. I read in other reviews that cuticle care is extra so maybe that's why he didn't do anything? In my opinion that should be included... since THEY are literally the ones ruining my cuticles with their drilling technique. Also, while I was taking pics for this review I also noticed there is a long string embedded in my middle nail. The dip with soak off was $50 and the shaping was an extra $7. They also accidentally charged me for getting tips on, even though I came in and left with natural nails. Thankfully they read out each charge and let me dispute that one before paying. So I'm torn... most places DON'T give good pedicures anymore, and she absolutely delivered. But if I'm paying almost $60 for a manicure? I can get a flawless one anywhere at that price. Usually with a hand massage and DEFINITELY with cuticle care. I didn't put him through the ringer either. I got short, single color, almond shape dip powder. Very basic. To me they just look meh and unfinished. I think I'll give them another try, it was my first time there. I get a lot of anxiety going to new salons and I wanted to see their process without being too pushy or complaining. Now that I'm home I really wish I would've spoken up more, that's completely on me. I think I just kind of hoped that the tech would do a great job without me having to police the experience. I've been driving by this place for a few years now and my wife and I decided to check it out for some pedis after grabbing lunch on our day off. We walked in and they were able to immediately seat us after we chose our package and polish. The atmosphere is clean, bright, welcoming, and modern. I chose the Aromatic Pedicure for $60 and my wife ordered the Tipsy Pedicure for $45 and gel polish upgrade for $20. All of the prices and menu items were available next to the ordering kiosk and one of the managers was able to help us with any questions we had. QK walked me over to the pedicure area after I chose my polish color and he set up the tub with a fresh liner and had me check the water temp to ensure it would be comfortable. The massage chairs were excellent, easy to adjust and very relaxing. QK checked in with me every step of the way to ensure my comfort and was very focused and attentive. The cucumber sugar scrub was lovely and invigorating and the massage cream left my legs feeling silky smooth and soft. Giao helped my wife and complimented her on her homemade manicure. She appeared to do a fantastic job with the pedicure and gel polish and was very friendly. Everything was very clean, I could tell that the metal tools were fresh out of a sanitizing package and he disposed of all other tools when he was finished. Checkout was easy and we were able to tip our pedicurists with a very cool qr-scannable cash app menu. I look forward to returning and bringing friends! read more

I came here because of the reviews and it's a new location. They were able to take me in as a walk in immediately on a Thursday morning. Walking in I asked for a dipped mani and regular pedicure. The person up front kept pushing for a jelly pedicure A LOT which is $10 extra so I agreed because they were too intense but I figure why not give it a try. Pedicure went ok, nothing out of the norm. And then the dip manicure went rogue. The tech cut my thumb cuticles and I was bleeding and they ignored it. I had to pull away and say I need a band aid and she said it's ok and kept working. I had to say it hurts and it's bleeding a lot, she finally oh ok. It's been a week since and my nails are horrible. Sucks to leave this review. read more
