We had the calamari appetizer and it was excellent! It was very lightly battered and was so soft and flavorful. I ordered the fried oysters which were plentiful, light and so tasty! My husband had the scallops platter and they were very large and tender. I can't remember having such delicious seafood! What was so nice was we walked from our rental to the restaurant and enjoyed the fresh air! It was a lovely evening with family. Bahia has probably the best food I've had from any of the current crop of Atlantic Beach places. Every dish I've tried so far has been excellent. One in particular needs to be highlighted. The crab dip is possibly the best I've ever eaten, anywhere. You need to try it. Pro tip: Be prepared for the generous amount of butter and oil in and on the food -- it adds to the richness and is definitely a good thing, but you'll want to be careful if you're planning on performing microsurgery or wiping your eyeglasses. There is unobtrusive but good quality live music, which is always a plus (and seems more well-considered than the solo guitar dudes repeatedly playing "Free Fallin" at the neighboring restaurants and bars). Being Friday night, the bar had live entertainment, which is offered every Friday and Saturday. The performer this night was Jimmy Parker who was very talented. We enjoyed our evening at the Beaufort Bar and would recommend it to anyone looking for good drinks in a relaxing environment - the live entertainment was a bonus!
