We left our girls for Easter weekend and I was so pleased with our experience at Tipton! We have two high-energy pointers (one is still a puppy), and I'll be honest--I'm a little extra when it comes to them. They are my babies. I spent two weeks trying to decide where to leave them, and I'm so glad we chose Tipton Pet Hotel. One of my favorite things was that the dogs have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces--it gave me so much peace of mind. The facility itself smelled amazing (which says a lot!), was very clean, and felt welcoming right away. The staff were warm, caring, and even let me check out their room with them, which I really appreciated. The absolute best part, though, was the communication. I truly felt like they cared about my girls. One of ours is a recent rescue, and I was a little nervous about how she would adjust, but they were so kind, patient, and genuine. honestly i love this place, it might not be so techy and have all these cameras and fancy add ons but the staff is amazing!! I take my boys on occasion for day care( 7yr basset and 2yr golden doodle) and they immediately just run to the counter, they cannot wait and the staff knows my babies by name the second they see them! And as far as Randy, he is such a sweet sweet man. He always makes sure to take care of my babies!! Give this wonderful company a chance to take care of yours and they'll do exactly that and then some!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. 'Randy' spoke with me on the phone the day I was paying over the phone to pick up my dog. He was unable to understand my car number over the phone after not bathing one of my dogs after I asked. Told me to call back the next day to pay and I was fine with that. terrible customer service, I have a voicemail of this man screaming at me calling me a 'deadbeat' saying he was going to give me the 'smack down' I deserved after I posted a google review saying they had bad costumer service. Clearly, this voicemail is more proof they do not care about their costumers. Read somewhere else multiple dogs have passed away while staying here. So many issues this place doesn't genuinely care about animals or customer service. read more

I'm the proud dog mom to an active micro golden doodle! As a first time pet owner, I was nervous about leaving her when we went out of town. A friend recommended Tipton Pet Hotel and I have to say I am so glad she did! I was met at the door by the sweetest people and they took my puppy and loved her like she was their own. Tipton is a beautiful place and is super clean. The employees are friendly, caring, and patient with all my questions. When I called to check on my puppy, they were sweet to answer my questions and reassured me that she was having fun and making doggie friends. I have left her there for daycare also, and she came home exhausted and happy. They grouped her with dogs of similar size and temperament so she could play all day. I am so very happy to have found such an amazing place to board my dog. read more

My puppy absolutely LOVES their doggy day care! I was nervous because I didn't know/want him to sit in a kennel all day, but he literally plays ALL day! He's SO excited to jump out of the car and I literally have to drag him back to the car when it's time for pick up because he doesn't want to leave haha, which makes me so happy! There's been a few times where he didn't want to eat his lunch & they kept offering, but he didn't want to stop playing with his new friends! The facility is super clean and all of the staff is so welcoming and nice! 10/10 recommend if you need someone to watch your fur baby! read more

This place is not where you need to take your dog to get groomed. They could careless about the dogs and or owners. They mistreated my dog and made her go to the vet twice in a row after a groom. The first encounter, they cut my dogs tongue with scissors where she had to get 5 stitches in her tongue (i will attach pictures below). She had to stay over night at the vet. They paid for this first incident... The second encounter i had not brought her back to the tipton for about 6 months or so. When i decided to give them another chance I walked in and told them that I was very nervous and that I did not feel comfortable with leaving her there with them. They reassured me and said everything would be fine. When it was time to pick up my dog from her appointment the first words spoken to me as i walk to the desk is "we will pay for any vet bill" "she got cut in between her paws because we had to pull the matted hair out from in between her paws." When i saw cleo she was for one SHAVED and when I looked at her paw her bone was completely exposed and we had to once again seek vet help. This vet bill was around 200 dollars and the manger refused to pay for this vet bill and told me that it was my fault that this happened. My dogs demeanor COMPLETELY changed and she started snipping at me and really was just uncomfortable for about 5 months after all this happened. Goldendoodles are loving, caring, and so gentle and for her demeanor to change so drastically was so hard on me and her. If you have a golden doodle do not take them there... or in fact do not take any breed of dog there. They do not care about your dog and or you...especially if they do something wrong they will not give a flying rip. After visiting several facilities around Lubbock, we were blown away by Tipton's facilities, cleanliness, and friendly staff. My daughter is a grad student in Lubbock and takes her pup in for Doggie Day Care on long days and boarding when needed. They always remember her Dog's name, personality, and she gets full reports on how her play day went. They take care to match submissive/dominant/size of dogs so that playtime doesn't take a bad turn. The outdoor area with it's concrete shallow pool, trees, grass, etc... is like doggie camp deluxe. Love the hospital air filtration system - it smells so clean and NOT of bleach or harsh chemicals. Great little dog boutique area, too. They're very sweet & understanding when we called in during her first few visits to see how she was adapting. Our dogs are truly members of our family - and we never worry when leaving a dog with Tipton for a play day or over a long weekend. read more

Our dog was attacked while boarded at the Tipton, not only were we not informed, but staff did not know till we got him and checked him out. The excuse given for such poor service was ridiculous! And they haven't even called to check in him. Will not be taking him back. read more

We have been going here for a while to get our dog groomed. The past 3 or 4 visits have been going downhill and this last visit was the worst. We had an appointment to get our dog groomed at 10 AM. It took over six hours for them to complete the grooming. I called at 2:30 PM to check because it had been so long and I hadn't received a call yet. They told me that it would take another hour. So finally at 4 o'clock I headed up there and I should add that they didn't even call me and tell me she was ready. I arrived and she is in a pen with some other dogs. They bring her out and she is still wet on her hindquarters. Not impressed. Probably will be looking for a new groomer. The grooming looked ok but the customer service was 0 stars if possible! read more

I have been taking my dog to the Tipton pet hotel for a little more than two weeks for doggy day care. I am really pleased with the service, facility and most of all the staff. My dogs loves it and I can go to work worry free, knowing that my dog is taking care of. She get a lot of socializing (both with people and other dogs). I highly recommend it. read more

I was blown away be the sweet attitude of the staff. They never seemed stressed out and always remembered my dog's name. I had to leave my dog there quickly due to a family death. I was able to call and check on me whenever I wanted to. Super nice, clean facility. And the price per day is amazingly cheap for the service you get. So like any pet owner, my cat is my baby, my child. I never had boarded her in Lubbock before, but it became a necessity since I needed to travel somewhere. I googled so many boarding services and even visited a few, then I found this place. It was a little bit of a drive but it was so worth it. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the young lady at the front desk and she was so kind and welcoming. They then let me tour the room where my cat would be staying, the room and kennels were clean, and a good size. She then informed me that I could provide toys, blankets, and wet food for her and they would make sure she would eat/be put with her. The morning I went to drop her off, they were once again, so nice and so welcoming, they reassured me that she would be well taken care of, they gave me a number to contact them, and then I was on my way. When I came back and went to pick her up, she didn't look scared or traumatized, I knew she had been well taken care of. I would recommended this boarding service to anyone who loves their pets and wants reassurance they will be well loved and taken care of while you are gone! If I ever find myself in Lubbock again, and need to board her I will not hesitate to come back! read more

I have used this place previously since living in Lubbock and it has been good, but I used Tipton Pet Hotel the weekend before last (5/29-6/2) and my dog came back with kennel cough. He has been vaccinated and has never had kennel cough before that I know of. The symptoms didn't start til last Wed. but have been going on regularly now and he sounds horrible. Just want to warn people who may have had dog(s) that weekend that there was a dog(s) there with kennel cough. I am disappointed and will not be using Tipton Pet Hotel anymore because of this. read more

When trying to find a doggy daycare/boarding facility I tried Tipton Pet Hotel first, weary of the negative reviews on Yelp and Google. I was welcomed with a wonderful staff, they were sweet and friendly but I did notice dogs were left unattended outside in big groups while on my tour of the facility. I decided to give it a try and dropped off my Great Dane puppy, Bella, for a half day of daycare. When I picked miss Bella up, she did not show any signs of fear or strange behavior, the staff told me she played with multiple dogs including a full grown Great Dane who not only looked like her twin but was named Bella as well. I left the facility happy and comfortable..until I got home. I found cuts, scratches, and possible bite marks on Bella's legs, ears and neck. Bella had chunks of skin missing behind her ears and on her legs, which lead me to believe no-one goes outside and monitors the pups while they play. Sadly, this facility is a no-go for me, I use Regal Pet Resort and absolutely love it. read more
