While having my tires rotated and balanced, I made a request for them to "check the TOP Left Taillight on the Driver's side." That was the Only One that appeared to be our‼ When they Finished with my car, I was informed "all three (3) rear lights needed replacing" -- which they performed without my consent! The Absolutely Despicable issue is that I was charged $23 each -- the bulbs were $3 apiece PLUS $20 Service Charge per bulb‼ The housing had already been removed and to dislodge the burnt out light and Install the replacement at Individual Charges of $20 each is downright Unscrupulous‼ read more

My husband drives a 2020 Ram. The tires need far more than 35psi. We ended up having to air them up more upon receiving the vehicle. After your guys called my husband to ask if he wanted the whites out, you all couldn't even clean off the blue protective coating. Furthermore, you all conned my mother who was kind enough to pay for these tires for us as a gift, into an additional $224, telling her that the $56 warranty charge was for all 4 tires. You did not specify to her that if would be 4 separate charges of $56 for all 4 tires. Thats fraud. Also would like to add that having 3 hours to put these tires on, when we scheduled an appointment is insane. read more

Love tire discounters. I have a 2022 Nissan Sentra and the tires on only 20,000 miles were already bad. Tread less than half and I was upset by the quote by the dealer. Came back to my tire discounters and got an incredible deal on 4 new Cooper Endeavor tires with road hazard and the free alignment for under $670. Now I just return for rotation. 12/6/2024 I went into work at the business across the parking lot. I noticed I had a total flat on my car upon parking and that I had a tpms warning of low pressure. Never had that light on before. I changed the spare tire onto the car and went in to work. I contacted tire discounters at 2222 state street new Albany Indiana 47150. I asked about getting my tire replaced. I was told they only had one style and one brand of tire for my vehicle that would cost me 167.50. I agreed to pay and have it taken care of. Upon completion I was told my rear brakes needed to be changed and to allow the car some time to correct the tpms issue. The light would go off on its own. After a couple of weeks of driving hundreds of miles the light was still on. I contacted the location on 12/26/2024 and let them know of the issue. I was told to bring my car down and they'd take a look. Upon arrival I was told my sensor could just be dead. I exclaimed that was strange due to it having no issues prior to the change. They pull my car in the bay and take a look only to say the sensor has to be replaced and it's gonna cost an ungodly amount. That 3 sensors were dead now. Okay so let me explain that this would be 3.5 if the app allowed because I've had 2 visits to this Tire Discounters on State Street in New Albany , IN and my experience was mixed. On both occasions I visited this store, it was for an oil change and tire rotation. Like many auto shops, the tire rotation is included in the price of the oil change. A big reason I picked out Tire Discounters was that they quoted me a price of $59.99 (before taxes and after they take off a $25 coupon), which is one of the cheaper prices I have found at the more well known named auto and tire shops. Something I like when I get my oil changed is for the reminder sticker to be placed inside of my windshield showing me when my next oil change is due and mileage at my current oil change. It's also nice to have oil life indicator reset on the dash. Most oil change shops do this. I specifically requested it the first time that I went to the store. I was told it was no problem. So during my first experience over 2 months ago, I was having my cabin and engine filters replaced as well as the oil changed. As I was getting in my car to leave after service, I noticed my oil life indicator was not reset nor was there a sticker showing my current mileage and next oil change date. No big deal. I went inside and and told the guy at the desk and he sent the mechanic who worked on my car out to do it. Then when I left, I noticed that some spring or something must have been removed from the glove compartment, because when I opened it, the door slammed opened hard as if it was missing a piece to allow the door to slowly open. I knew they had gone through the glove compartment to change the cabin air filter, and sure enough the door was missing a piece, but I did not feel like going back to have it fixed at this point. I was already annoyed at the time I had already waited there for service. I did call the desk to let them representative know. The second time I went to this location for an oil change which was in recent days I reminded them about my glove compartment and they did fix it with no questions so kudos there. The time I waited was under an hour which was nice. I think I had one person in front of me when I arrived. Overall, I suppose I'd go back for the price alone as I got a full synthetic oil change due to driving 160 miles a day round trip to work and home. The staff seem pretty friendly and responsive as well. If I were to offer advice to the business, I would say watch the little details like window reminder stickers, resetting vehicle oil life indicator, and ensure everything is put back together (glove compartment! ). read more

Warning - This crew seems to have no problem taking advantage of people. My wife was out with a friend and thought it would be a good idea to get her oil changed at Tire Discounters while out. The date was 1 August 2017 They charged her $62.33 for the oil change. A simple OIL CHANGE. $62.33!! But that was not even the worst. They informed her that there was major work that needed to be done to the undercarriage, brakes, and shocks, and that was going to cost her $1592.63. Thankfully she refused, and we took the vehicle to a dealer. The dealer confirmed some of the items did need work, and did it for $475.00. LESS than ONE THIRD what these crooks wanted. I thought the days of mechanics trying to take taking advantage of what they perceive as ignorant people were over. I do not care how friendly they may act on the outside, I would not trust these people to wash my windshield. By the way - any questions, I will be happy to provide the invoice and estimate to anyone who needs verification. read more

Bought tires here about 5 months ago (was very unhappy with that experience too). Brought my Pilot in for 1st balance/rotate. One other vehicle was in the shop at the time and not busy at all. Thirty minutes after dropping off got a phone call saying they couldn't balance/rotate tires because my wheels had a lock on it. How did they change them the 1st time without the lock? Aren't they a tire place? Why don't they have wheel lock keys? Ugh. Huge waste of my time. I will NEVER be back to this location. read more

If I could give less than one star, I honestly would. I'm still here right now as I'm writing this review. I have been here now for 3 hours. All I came for was 2 two tires. I am NOT the only disgruntled customer. I have now seen workers watch videos on their phones, leave while on the clock to get drinks at the gas station (Thortons), and sit down while working. PLEASE, go to Big O Tires across the street. I promise you it is well worth your time. This business needs to be shut down. Truly the WORST customer care I've ever experienced. Overall, I had a better experience here than I was expecting. My dad had purchased tires from this shop as my Christmas present, and when I got a leak I decided to see if he got insurance for the tires as well. Turns out he did, so the repair was free. But, that's standard service in my opinion. Let's be honest, I'm a petite woman who looks like she knows zero about cars (because I don't), and the first representative I spoke to was kind and never once condescended me or spoke to me as if I was stupid. Big plus in my book, especially after some car professionals I've been in contact with. The guy that was there when I went to pick the car up wasn't as pleasant, but something told me it wasn't his regular job to be behind the counter, so I understand. They were able to quote me the actual out the door prices to help my decision. Also, there was no major upsale pressure before or after the installation. The job took less than two hours. I've noticed this places several times while sitting at the Starbucks drive through. One thing that stands out is they are open late - 7:00pm and often work later. While leaving Starbucks I noticed the dreaded noise that sounded like something in my tire that didn't belong there. Hoping it was a rock stuck in the tread I pulled over and checked and it was a screw in my back driver's side tire. I walked in tire discounters at five minutes until 7:00 and asked if they could help me out and plug my tire. Even though it was close to closing they did. Good customer service! Nice crew and does whatever it takes for the customer (at least they did for me). Most grateful. read more

I had a knot in two of my tires and walked in to have them fix it. Never felt like I was inconveniencing them, even though they were extremely busy. I never felt like they were trying to get me to buy extra things that I probably didn't need. Very friendly, great customer service. I just came in for a tire replacement on warranty. I found out that when they price-matched my tires, they didn't include the road hazard warranty nor did they disclose that it was an add-on. Not much of a price match. Should have stuck with Big-O, ought across the street. read more

This place was remarkable free Alignment with my tires. Different than Big O tires they give you lifetime balancing, free tire repairs for the life of the tires and they were cheaper on a set of Michelin tires than Big O was charging for a Big O tire. Extremely rude! I have had my oil changed here also purchased a set of tires from here. I had an appointment and I still waited over an hour for them too even get my vehicle in the garage. Then when I had oil change and new filter got home and I still had the old oil filter on my car! The ONLY reason I go back is because I purchased road hazard protection from them on my tires. They try to charge me every time I get a flat on one of my tires. Make sure you save your paper work on your tires!!! read more

Do not waste your time and money! They were offering free alignments with the purchase of tires. I called ahead of time to make sure they could do a Mercedes because we've had issues with tire shops not being able to do alignments on Mercedes before. "Yeah, we can do an alignment on any make and model, bring it in." So I did. Bought 4 overpriced tires so that I could get the free alignment on my car. The guy comes in telling me they can't do the alignment because they need camber bolts and the bolts alone will cost $150 each at the Mercedes dealership (I called Mercedes and it was going to be $347 for them to do the alignment which included the camber bolts). However, any idiot knows parts are more expensive at the dealership and you can get aftermarket parts for a fraction of the cost. Since they told me they could do the alignment on the car, we finally came to the agreement that I would purchase the camber bolts from a shop of my choosing and they would install them. THREE TIMES we go back to get these bolts installed! The first time we needed a new tire and they just "didn't have time." The second time we went back and he told us that now we needed new struts and bushings and that the camber bolts wouldn't fix the issue. The third time we needed ANOTHER NEW TIRE (keep in mind 2/3 times we went back were because we needed new tires that we had just purchased. Both times we were within the 6month period that your warranty is supposed to cover and both times we were denied replacement of our tires claiming it was "normal wear and tear." I dont know about you but tires I've bought from other shops typically last longer than 3 and 5 months. Trusty's in Corydon is ) After the third time we went back they told us that they were the wrong camber bolts and wouldn't fit my car. Also the 6 month warranty did not cover my blown tire. And they thought we were going to buy another tire hahahahahaha. NO! My husband went home and took the wheels off and put the camber bolts on in 45 minutes and then went to our local tire shop and got a tire for $30 cheaper than Tire "Discounters." Really avoid this place at all costs! They suck. They don't do what they say. They don't know what they are talking about. And their warranties are a joke. If you're in New Albany you might as well make the journey to Corydon and get good tires and service from Trusty Tires!! read more

I am a long time customer... i took a 10x20 tire to be mounted on wheel to New Albany store. Desk guy brought mechanic in and told me no problem, he can mount it as it would be good training for his guys with tire irons.. a ticket was written up for $20 and I was told to bring it in... when i was leaving the manager came out and said no way, we dont do those.. I said your desk man and mechanic are already on it... without any cordialness he threw his hands up and rudely stated it is against company policy.. and walked off.. wait he said the company wont be responible for damage so load them up.. not a professional exchange in the slightest.. he could have been polite and just said sorry sir, we are not allowed.. shook my hand and asked if there is anything else we can help you with,, but nope... I went across the street to Big O, and guess what.. they glad took care of me... I dhould never have left Big O for you guys to begin with... read more
