I was looking for a mechanic who could inspect a used car I was considering buying. (I had just driven in from out of state and in retrospect should have known to call ahead to set up an appointment, note to self.) Despite being clearly in high demand and booked solid, they were able to find a way to fit me in that day. The owner George's frank assessment proved invaluable and gave me the peace of mind to make a major financial decision. His expertise saved me from what would likely have been a major future headache with one car, while providing information about the pros and cons of a second car that I ended up deciding was a good fit. The first time I went, I was having a problem with my car so I dropped it of for a diagnosis, but came back to a bill for around $200 and a "fixed" muffler. The problem was that my muffler had been covered under a Midas warranty, and had I been notified of the cause of the problem, I would have been able to replace the muffler for free. Other times have been perfectly run-of-the-mill and I haven't had repeat problems with things that have been repaired here. The cost is nothing to write home about, but the nighttime drop off is handy.

I marked the tires beforehand, so when I picked up my car, it was apparent that the tires were never rotated although it was on the invoice. I brought this to their attention, and they immediately took the vehicle back in to perform the rotation. When I got home, I realized that only the driver's side tires were swapped front to back. The passenger tires were not touched. On my wife's car, the tires were indeed rotated, but greasy fingerprints were left on the armrest. I have purchased two sets of tires from Hogan and have been satisfied with their service until now. I don't know if the technician is to blame for this shoddy service or it is a systemic problem with Hogan.

They had me drop off the car after hours and were very accommodating. I had to get my rear passenger door replaced. It took 4 weeks, which to me is a little longer than what I've been told. I think 2-3 weeks is more average, but the insurance company paid for the rental so it didn't matter. Other than that, the process was very streamlined and easy. And my car came back to me cleaner with a perfect door!
