I had appointment for a NC Safety Inspection that was set up on 11/24/25 at 8am at there Website. I received a e-mail saying Your appointment is confirmed Vehicle appointment for November 26, 8:00 a.m. So I arrived at 7:35am on 11/26/25 and the manager told me that the state safety inspection machine had been out of service for 3 weeks? I then asked if the shop in Summerfield had any opening yes for 11/28/25 wow. I did not received a phone call, e-mail or text to inform me of the problem with the State Inspection machine. I took my car in for an oil change. When I returned to pick it up, they gave me a long list of problems with my car. In looking at the list, I found that everything they listed had been taken care of in the last 6 months...BY TIRE MAX!! When I asked them about it, they said, "Oh well, the guys in the back just go by your mileage. They don't know what's been done to the car." I would hope they would know since they did the work and they had the records on my car for the past 3 years. There was nothing wrong with my car other than it needed an oil change. What I like best is they will make you aware of services your vehicle needs, provide a detailed quote and DO NOT pressure you to make a decision on the spot. Don't bring your car here if you want it to get looked at the same day. Was told to bring my car in at 9am for them to see if they could diagnose and hopefully fix my passenger door (vehicle thinks it's open when it's not). I called around 330pm to see if they were going to be able to get to it today or if they would be keeping it overnight. The lady on the phone tells me that it hasn't been looked at yet but she would give me a call when they figure out the issue. I asked her to give me a call back if they weren't going to be able to do it today and she said ok and now the business is closed and I never got a single call. This is the second time I've had this happen at this location. Thought the first time was a fluke but I guess was wrong. Absolutely will not recommend or ever spend my money here again. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I most definitely would. I am referring specifically to the Stokesdale shop. Save yourself the time and money and avoid this place at ALL COST! Management: sucks, employees: suck, mechanics: suck. And if you're a woman, you will be disregarded and spoken to with absolutely zero respect, even though you paid them money, and too much at that. I dropped my car off for a simple oil change and alignment, get there and was told "oh actually we can't do the alignment, sorry" Okay cool.. just wasted my time and day driving up here, would've been nice to know considering I called 24 hours prior to this appointment to ensure they could do it all and I was told they would. Anyways, fast forward 2.5 hours later, I come back to get my car (from an OIL CHANGE) and my windshield has a 6 inch crack in it..? Management refuses to take any responsibility, didn't offer a refund for the service, didn't even say sorry. They took days to call me back to explain what happened and were not even remotely apologetic. They have "no video footage of what happened" even though there are cameras on the property. So my $100 oil change ended up costing me another $500 to replace my windshield. Screw this place. If you enjoy having a nice car and being treated with the tiniest amount of respect, never EVER take your car to this horrendous shop. Side note, this is a 2021 Volvo, essentially still new, not some piece of junk. But even if I drove a POS, I wouldn't bring it here. read more

My wife brought her vehicle in to have her brakes worked on. This business used to be Josh Smith in Eden NC. We were quoted one price and gave a deposit. Several hours later she received a call saying they misquoted by $300. After calling around we decided to go elsewhere. Tire Max would not refund deposit, which our receipt clearly states it was a deposit for said work. I am a disabled veteran and she works so money is tight. She was lied to bye Tom who works there. Very nice staff but service can be hit or miss based on experiences over a few years. Most recently, I went into an 8am appt for an oil change (be sure to allow up your 2 hours) and shortly after leaving had tire warning lights come on. Called Tire max from side of road and they offered to look at it if I came back but I didn't have another hour+ to give them this day. read more

I dropped a single tire off at 7:30 am to be patched. it had a screw in the center of the tread. 7 hours later they hadn't touched it. After asking what the hold up was, they said they were busy. 30 min later I received a call stating that they were unable to patch the hole because it was too big but they could sell me a tire. This is the second time that this has happened at this location. It was obvious that the tire was never taken off the rim and therefore they simply tried to plug the hole from the outside. I took the tire to Mock Tire and Automotive and they patched the hole from the inside and had me on my way in 30 min. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. This shop charged me a diagnostic fee and said that the issues I was having with my car would total about $2500. They called the next day and said they misquoted the price and it would be $2800. The diagnostic fee, I told was going toward my balance. WHICH IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE RECEIPT I RECEIVED, I chose to do only part of what they recommended and I was told that the diagnostic fee would not go towards the balance of any repairs. I then received another quote from another shop (BTW that place is Iron Eagle if you need a good repair shop) for just the rear brakes (which was what I decided to move forward with with Tire Max) and it was $215 less than Tire Max. Buyer Beware. I believe that the guys behind the counter must get kickbacks for quoted work. Tom in particular. He says things and then tells you he didn't say them (ie my deposit/diagnostic fee would go towards the work done). I was so upset over this incident that I felt the owner should know- John Fowlkes. Apparently he does not care that Tire Max in Eden is taking advantage of unsuspecting customers....because he never called me back. I cannot stress this enough.... don't bring your car here. When I took my car to Tiremax for a FLAT TIRE REPAIR (cost $33.00 ?) I got more than I bargained for. Upon leaving I discovered a brand new dent in my car door on my otherwise excellent vehicle. When I brought this up to Max, the owner of this business, I was met with abuse, anger, denial, irritation, impatience, accusation, and talking over me. My wife and our other company, overhearing the conversation on speakerphone, was shocked at the way I was being treated. To put it plainly, this business owner was rude and tried to bully me about something that most people would consider an accident. Max told me I needed to come back to the business and "prove" they did it. And he asked me, "Did you take pictures of your car before you left it with us?" as if that would shift the blame back to me. Of course, nobody takes pictures of their car before they have a flat tire fixed! My grandfather warned me about men who used weasel words to escape responsibility when I was a youngster. He said that I shouldn't use ever that kind of talk, but to just be a man of charachter who takes responsibility. So, no Max, I didn't take pictures before I came to you for a tire repaid. I didn't realize I would be treated in such a rude and unprofessional way when an accident occurred during the time you had my car. Now, my $33 leaking tire repair has cost me several hundred dollars. "Max" refused to take responsibility for his company's mistakes. And he's not a professional in my opinion. I've been to many businesses in the 44 years I've been driving and have never had this kind of abuse by such an unprofessional owner. Even when I was a kid I don't remember being treated with this kind of dismissal. I'm very glad it wasn't my wife who drove the car in there. Most women wouldn't know how to handle someone who seemed to be such a pushy bully. My answer to Max is this review, to give the public some sound advice. If you EVER decide to take your car to Tiremax, TAKE SOME PHOTOS FIRST as Max himself suggested to me. Because if anything happens to your car, you will be talking to an agressive guy who will looks for every way possible to blame you and refuse to take responsibility. read more

Locally Owned and operated they provide great customer service and is the best tire center I've worked with. When you buy your tires there it's free rotating and balance for the life of the tires plus they will repair any nails holes etc. free of charge. You won't be disappointed with these guys read more
