Amazing service. Came here to get my brake pads changed and I found out I had to get a caliper fixed and I told the Manager I was going to get an Uber to get the rest of the money as the rest of the money I needed was in my other bank account and she was nice enough and trusted me to take her car. I felt bad for taking her car but I found someone to give me a ride. This shows how amazing the service is here at Mavis. I'll always be coming here no matter what. read more

Hey! They took great care of me! Walked in out of nowhere not even expecting them to help me. Anthony the manager is really knowledgeable about cars and tires in general. It's always great when the guy you're talking to is an aficionado of cars as you are, and understands more particular demands. I usually don't let anybody touch my Mercedes, but I would definitely take it back to him again. This was by far the best experience I've ever had regarding spending money on auto related things. That being said let's get into it! First and foremost, very clean facility. Important. I came here on a Sunday @ 1pm with 4 tires and 4 wheels begging for them to be mounted and balanced ASAP and 3 hours later I was back and they were ready for pickup. Kevin, the main person I was working with was a solid guy. He made great conversation and was very polite and thorough. Long story short, do NOT hesitate to go here for your tires and wheels (and brakes and suspension.) Great prices and great service. What more could you want? P.S. Bought a tire that had a manufacturing defect, returned it to mavis in walkertown today after calling and explaining I was NEVER quoted a price, I drop the tire off explain everything, no price given, probably covered by warranty, I come back a few hours later to a new tire on my wheel, and a $160 bill, which is outrageous because I purchased the tire originally for $105, in other words I was sold a defective product and than almost forced to pay MORE for the same product, the man behind the counter price matched which I am thankful for but the tire should have been replaced for free seeing it's a manufacturer defect, I would not have been returning here if I hadn't have purchased the tire from mavis, my mother came here a few months ago to get an alignment and they ended up breaking multiple suspension components that have cost us thousands to replace, even after saying they would fix it all for free, best we got was a refund on the service, DO NOT COME HERE, let this place fade away like all the other scam shops, they will try everything they can to make a dollar off of you, while holding your property hostage. I came in yesterday to get tires and was charged a different price than what was quoted online and over the phone. I came back today to get some clarity on why I was charged so much. The in-store costumer service rep explained that there is a disconnect between the online quoting system and the stores pricing based on tire availability. After, standing around waiting for answers, another costumer was upset about a similar issue. I spoke with the corporate customer service team and they admitted that all Mavis stores are experiencing the same on going issue. It seems like Mavis's corporate team needs to come up with better policies and fix these issues. It seems like they are hanging their in-store customer service reps out to dry on the front lines. Long story short this company needs to be more upfront about hidden fees, price matching polices, and online system quoting issues. Shout out to Cory and Jen for handling these issues with grace. You both deserve a raise. read more

Would not recommend. I made an appointment for my oil change for 11am. I arrived promptly and told them I would be waiting across the street at Zaxbys. One hour goes by and I watched my car not even move. I called at 12pm and told them I needed to leave by 12:20. They pulled my car in but never touched it. At 12:25pm I walked back over and told them I needed to leave. They apologized but had not done anything to the car. When I got in my car it reeked of marijuana!! As I was leaving the manager told me to make an appointment and I would get in faster. The mechanics might know what they're doing but the management sucks!! Shout out to Mavis Tire and Auto in Walkertown. Stopped in this morning as my low tire pressure came on and planning an upcoming trip. They were very busy but he said he could work me in at 1 pm. He filled my tire that was low and I returned a few hours later. The pressure had come down again indicating some type of leak and they found a piece of metal in the tire and were able to patch it. I went to check out and he said no charge -- great service! Thank you! read more

A couple of months ago my registration renewal came along in the mail and of course, I needed my state inspection done as well. My husband took my Durango to Mavis where they inspected it. The next morning, he went to the DMV to renew the registration and they said the truck needed the inspection. Apparently, something went wrong at Mavis so of course my husband took the truck back to Mavis and they re-entered the information. My husband then returned to the DMV. Again, they said the information wasn't in the computer. Something was still going wrong at Mavis. It took another trip to Mavis before they got it straightened out. By then my registration was late and I had to pay an extra fee. Mavis should have reimbursed us for part of that I felt. We won't be doing business with them again. read more

I cannot emphasize enough how dissatisfied I am with every aspect of this business. The customer service is bad, the speed at which they do their job is painfully slow, and I had to come back 2 days in a row. Day 1- Came in with my car and my husbands for a simple tire rotation and a potential leak in one of my husbands tires. Dropped if both cars (walk in) and went to get food to burn some time. Came back an hour later and were told neither were ready but that we needed new pads and rotors (this was likely true so not really an issue). We agreed to this service, waited an additional hour and then someone asked if we wanted our tires rotated (what we came in for). Once my car was finished we left to run errands for 2 hours. We came back and my husband's car still wasn't finished. Waited another 15-20 minutes for it to be finished, paid and left. Day 2- Went out to get in my car and the back passenger tire was almost flat. My husband took it off and put the spare on. He noticed that there was a bad patch in my tire. My tires are about 3 years old and have never been patched so it could have only been done yesterday. We limped into town (30 min drive) and then waited an additional hour and a half for them to fix the tire. They almost put the wrong tire back on my car, denied that they had patched it on day one, and had it finished for about 30 min when my husband went in to check on it. I don't write bad reviews; I have literally written 2 in my life. Taking time to complain is not something I enjoy, but I wasted an entire weekend sitting and waiting on this. I hope that they improve their business practices, but I would never spend money here again. read more

Update: It has since been discovered that I was charged for services not rendered, when I confronted the manager about this and asked for a refund he denied it adamantly despite me proving the service had not been rendered. I never heard it was ready so went back right before closing to find out they never completed my oil change. I left my vehicle there for 5 hours and they never even touched it. First the positive, the facility was very clean and for the most part the staff was pleasant and attentive. However the following was my experience with the Walkertown location. I went to this shop for a repair of a screw puncture on a fairly new tire. They took my car in quickly and I was back on the road in about 30-minutes. Price was a bit on the high side for a simple patch but given the quick service I felt it was fair. After I left, I noticed that the low tire pressure warning light was on. I called this shop the next morning as I was (and still am) convinced that something happened to the pressure sensor when they took the tire off the rim for the repair. The lady that answered the phone interrupted me mid-sentence and immediately went into defense mode stating that it could not have been their fault. All I was really wanting them to do was check it out. She finally booked me an appointment for the following day. They checked out the sensor and as expected told me that it was purely coincidental that the sensor failed of it's own accord at the exact same time as they repaired the tire. Ultimately I ended paying them to fix the sensor since they already had the tire back off the rim. read more

I had an 11am appointment to have my wheels aligned on my truck. When I got there I was told it could be up to 2 1/2 hours. I decided to wait. However after 3 hours of watching mechanics walking around, going out to smoke and take a walk in in ahead of my truck being moved, I asked for my keys and left. I would not recommend Mavis Tires unless you intend to leave your vehicle and be picked up or unless you plan on spending the evening in an overly cooled waiting area. (Bring a blanket!) Don't trust the time estimate you are given. read more

First off I am a female. I had tires put on my 2011 Nissan Rogue and was charged $807 including an alignment. They also told me that my control arm w ball joints on front lower on left and right are bad and that my outer tie rod end front right and left are bad. I went to another mechanic and was told that you can't align a vehicle if those things are bad. I have also since priced the same tires and was ripped off on the tires as well. BEWARE THESE PEOPLE WILL RIP YOU OFF IN A SPLIT SECOND WITH NO REMORSE!!! I am so disappointed in people that knowingly take advantage of people. read more

I brought my car in to see if they could put a plug in my tire because there was a nail. They then proceeded to basically yell at me for even asking for a plug because of the dangers instead of kindly educating me as cars are not my profession. They then insisted that they will not let me leave without a new tire because my safety was first priority which I thought was really nice. i decided to agree upon getting a new tire as I needed it and they were giving me a good deal on all 4 tires. I did not have the lug nut key to my car so they were having some difficulty which of course was my fault but I did continue to tell them it was my sisters old car. I figured that they would have a universal lug nut as they are a tire place. I waited for 2 hours just for them to tell me that they could not get any of my tires off, a chipped rim and one of the caps on my car went missing. They just handed me my keys, said they couldn't do it and made me leave on my way without anything fixed to my car nor much guidance. Now I understand why they had a "free oil change" if you give us a review sign... read more
