DONT BRING UR CAR HERE We brought our car in on August 7 …read more When we first called the shop, we explained that our car was shaking and struggling to take off, but we weren't sure what was causing the problem. The shop told us they could scan the car and diagnose what was wrong. We dropped the car off, and the mechanic later called us and recommended doing the spark plugs and a tune-up. He also told us that the valve cover was leaking and that oil was getting down into the area where the spark plugs were, causing them to get dirty. He explained that if we didn't replace the valve cover, we could continue having problems. Based on what he told us, we agreed to have the valve cover replaced along with the spark plugs/tune-up. We were charged approximately $530 for the work. The mechanic also told us that if we had any issues, we could bring the car back. The problem is that we're still experiencing the exact same issue we originally brought the car in for -- the car is shaking and struggling to take off. We called the shop today and explained that the problem is still happening. We were then told that it could possibly be the transmission. However, our transmission was already replaced about a year ago, which makes us question that diagnosis. We're now out $530, and the original problem hasn't been fixed. We're trying to figure out what our options are. especially since we were told to bring the car back if we had any issues. We attempted to reach out and they avoided giving us any names & avoided helping us .. they are actively avoiding our messages via IG ****To the response WHO WOULD WANNA TAKE THEIR CAR BACK TO A SHOP THAT REFUSES TO GIVE A NAME TO US ????? , that is unprofessional! They are a small mom/pop tire shop that we passed by... amongst many others in that location. Have an older car that needed tires so I chose to purchase 4 used tires. The tires were in great condition, only look to been used maybe thousand miles or so. $120 cash out the door. The next day I, I realize one of the tires going low. We drove back over to the location because we did not have a receipt or info on them. I called the number on the building because it was about noon and they were closed. No answer...we drove around the block and noticed a man staring to open the garage door. We drove back over. Long story short, the man that helped us (seemed to be the owner perhaps) took my car right in and replaced that tire. It's been a 4 days riding in the car for minor errands in my neighborhood and no problems at all. Simple and good service. Thank you. TIP! Best if you speak Spanish.
