Firstly they offer amazing prices, so good in fact, that I was anticipating some last minute up-charge due to larger sized low profile tires. Nope- what they quoted me was what they charged. Second, they really take care of your wheels and use some state of the art equipment. To top it off, service is amazing- they treat you like you are a part owner! I got a tour of the facility and learned a lot about what they do (way more than wheels/tires), and got to make use of their conf room to sit and work. Professional service, amazing rates and near white-glove treatment. We stopped by for an open house this past weekend and got to meet the folks that started the business- great people. Highly recommended- especially if you are very particular about your wheels!

We decided to have it checked out, to see what the problem was. (We could see $$$ in our minds.) Coffey's has performed other work on our cars, in the past, so we took it to them and left it, while they investigated the problem. A couple of hours later, David called and told us the A/C was working and we could come pick it up. The best part: it cost us a lot less than other repair shops wanted to charge! Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. Last week, my wife's 2012 Chevy Traverse refused to crank. She had the vehicle towed to the…read moreclosest shop which was Shamrock Auto. They diagnosed the issue as a starter and we paid $800-ish for the repair. Three days later, the Traverse started throwing warning lights... the battery indicator, check engine light, and check battery charging system. In hopes that the issue was somehow connected to the new starter, we returned the car to Shamrock to diagnose. Unfortunately, they diagnosed the issue as the alternator and quoted 700-800. They suggested that I also get a new serpentine belt. With the belt, the total would be 1300. Because the vehicle is 14 years old, and we had just dropped 800 on the starter, we decided to minimize the cost of repair and we would just start looking for a more reliable replacement vehicle. We opted to save the 500-600 dollars and only get the alternator work completed. When the repairs were complete, they called to settle the bill. Expecting 700-800 dollars, I was shocked when they said the total was just shy of 1200. I asked if they had installed the serpentine belt, because this total was WAY out of line with the 700-800 originally quoted. I was told that I wasn't accounting for the THREE HOURS of labor. Maybe it's just me, but when shops quote repair estimates, they typically include the labor! I also checked online to see if I could get a good idea of what these repairs typically cost. Chevy Traverse alternators are typically replaced in the 700-800 range (total cost), with labor typically running 1-2 hours. I am not a gear head, but I have two friends that do all of their own repairs and maintenance work. Both of my friends are of the opinion that I was taken advantage of... and with zero apologies or reasonable explanations from the owner at Shamrock. I would definitely proceed with caution if you plan on utilizing this business... and get their quotes in writing BEFORE authorizing work.
