My family and I were visiting friends in Maine for the 4th of July weekend, when my wife's car registered a sudden drop in pressure for the passenger rear tire. When I pulled over to take a look, my heart sank. It wasn't a drop in pressure - it was FLAT, and worse, it was 4PM on July 3rd. How could I get the tire fixed before end of the day, so that we could drive home on the 4th? Plus, I had out-of-state plates and a couple of car seats in the back. With a typical tire business, this would be a flashing neon sign to smell blood and insist I needed a brand new tire. We weren't far from Bangor, Maine, either, so I began to feel like I was in Chapter 1 of a Stephen King story. 'This is going to be a nightmare', I thought. Luckily, we weren't that far from a Tire Warehouse, so I bolted the donut on and limped the car to Topsham. They were open, but running a skeleton crew for the holiday weekend. When I walked in, 'Marty' greeted me and said that although he couldn't fit me in immediately (there were still a few cars to sort out) I could make an appointment for the morning of the 4th. You'll be open on Independence Day? Really? Yes, really. Whew! I made an appointment for 9AM, and they let me roll in the flat, in case they found time to attend to it that evening, or first thing in the morning. When I arrived 20 minutes late the next day, I found out that they had patched the tire the night before. There was never even an attempt to upsell me a new tire. Wow! While I waited for it to be mounted, Marty and I talked shop about racing cars, about photography, about family and kids and life. Great guy! After it was mounted, the tire tech showed me the steel splinter that had caused the puncture, and mentioned that a previous patch hadn't been finished properly - so he had cleaned it up for me, gratis. He also showed me that the rubber had cracked along a different tire's sidewall, but assured me it was OK, unless it has another puncture. It was clear this guy took a ton of pride in the quality of his work, and I really appreciated it, as it gave me real peace of mind for the drive home on the interstate. TL;DR: In one transaction, Tire Warehouse showed professional integrity, that have employees who take pride in their work, are well-run with a really friendly client-facing manager in Marty, and went *above and beyond* to help out this Dad trying to get his family home on the 4th of July. This place is awesome! It was the day after New Year's and every place was slammed! Chris answered the phone and immediately said come on over and he would take care of me! He did exactly that! He knew exactly what he was doing and was able to help me right away! If you're ever finding yourself in Topsham or in the surrounding areas, I highly recommend coming here! Tire warehouse in Topsham was my go to for years with about a dozen different family vehicles . New tires, snow changeovers, leaks, even mower tires. They were polite, reasonable, honest and efficient. Times have changed. Took our Nissan in for spring snow tire changeover and had a terrible experience. We received a call the morning of the appointment and the manager sounded upset, reminding us that we had an appointment, almost scolding us for missing it. In fact we had dropped the car off the day before so they would have it promptly for the appointment the next day. They didn't know the car was there or possibly that the work had already been done? Ok goof ups happen. We didn't get a call that the car was ready but we assumed they at least knew it was there :) We pick up the car and my wife says "wow I didn't realize it was that expensive to swap out tires." I said it's not that bad it's about 85 dollars. She said no it's 140 dollars. I told her there had to be a mistake. We went on to talk to the manager who has always been super nice and helpful. Our invoice said there was an additional charge for changing out and installing new TPMS valve stems. Our car does NOT have TPMS. When we asked he gave 3 reasons none of which really made sense or at least that he explained clearly. One was it was required, the other was that it was a new policy, the third was a price increase. I get price increases and inflation. Times are tough. A heads up in advance and a clearer explanation would have been nice as well as some kindness. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. They rip people off. We went in for a tire repair and sat in the lobby for an hour. These crooks charged us for a computer balance on our tire and new valve stem. I told them I wanted a patch and all they did was plugged the tire and made us sit in the lobby for an hour to make us think they were doing a lot to our tire. They changed our green cap off our tire and put on a black cap to make us think they changed the valve stem. See pic and dirty the the stem is. Same stem. They never took our tire off the rim and therefore no need to balance the tire. Which they did not do anyway. I wrote corporate a nasty letter and I've only just begun. They messed with the wrong person. read more

Stay away from this place! They dented my heat shield causing a loud noice after rotating my tires and when I turned around to have them correct it, the kid tried convincing me that it was my brakes and I needed new brakes, ha! So for entertainment, I went to my mechanic and he checked my brakes and told me they were in great condition and informed me that the sound was from a bent heat shield and what caused it was when my tires were put back on after rotation. Second time I called them, I thought I was calling Town Fair Tire next door to them, oops, my mistake. When the guy realized I called the wrong place, he said "Fuckin Idiot" as he literally hung the phone up on me. I called back and explained to him that I was calling the head office to report his behavior. This should be zero stars. Last night I had one of the most belittling and rude experiences I've ever had- and I will NOT be back! Not only was Marty in Topsham unapologetic and completely unhelpful, he seemed to go out of his way to be condescending to me. These guys are the worst. They told me to bring by my truck to get my snow tires put on, yet when I got there they said there were 35 other people in front of me but if I left my truck overnight, I'd be first in line tomorrow. I asked what time it might be ready and he said they open at 7:30, so pretty early. Fast forward to this afternoon. I've called 9 times and it's been a busy signal every single time. After receiving a message stating that tires my husband had ordered were in, my husband called to schedule an appointment to have them installed. The manager told him to come right over and they would be put on right away. We live only 10 minutes from the Topsham location and after getting there, my husband sat for over two hours, watching other customers come and go. It wasn't until he lost his cool, before they would install the tires. This is a very unprofessional organization. I also had a friend who drove thru their parking lot yesterday, was chased down by one of their employees who called her disgusting fowl names, got in her face and put his hands on her. She punched the guy in the face and called the manager who then hung up on her. After doing business there for years, we will never take one of our vehicles there ever. When I saw a poor review for this location I just had to chime in. Why? I couldn't disagree more. My experience has been, on numerous occasions-excellent. I have gone to Tire Warehouse in Topsham for nearly 10 years now and one thing is ALWAYS true-they are professional, polite, helpful, and neighborly. I once had a flat and my spare was flat too. I was about 3 miles away at the time, but in desperate need for assistance. So I called Marty. He drove over, took my flat, repaired it and then came back to install it within an hour's time. Excellent service. And that was just one occasion. Marty, Matt and their crew are always accommodating. I have my snows changed out every Spring and Fall on two vehicles. Even when there is a line they are reassuring and usually get me in and out, most always exceeding my expectations. Kudos to Tire Warehouse Topsham. I highly recommend them. read more

Very poor customer service. Said my car would be ready in an hour, after almost two hours and no call i went to see if it was ready and it was sitting in the lot. I asked if my car was ready to pick up in the friendliest way possible and the guy at the desk had an attitude with me. I have been a customer for years!!! I had 2 tires installed and paid for an alignment; 2 months later my BF Goodrich tires were worn all the way down. They admitted they never did an alignment and offered to do it for free if I paid for new tires. Weeks later they offered to take $50 off new tires but I had to pay for the alignment. Their customer service at their national headquarters were rude, degrading and unprofessional. I am new to Maine and will use another company from now on as I work with Janet Mills, our Attorney General to rectify their horrible business practices. Go anywhere else; not here!!! read more

Efficient and quick service. Accurate diagnosis. Friendly and outgoing customer service. Didn't have to wait to be seen. Veteran's discount, the biggest I've ever received, which I didn't ask for. Marty, the manager was talking me up while I was waiting and offered it to me when I responded to his questions with service related answers. All the locals recommended it to me and swore by these techs. It's just a tire and lube station, but some of the techs actually have ASE certs, so that was impressive. We sat here for 2 hours to get two front tires changed they took us right in, after waiting 45 minutes they took both tires off and we sat another id say hour before we started asking how long it would be they ignored my husband so we sat another 20 minutes. By then our sitter was getting close to being ready to leave our house and when we asked why we had been sitting for 2 hours with full staff we were told someone had an appointment and they wouldn't be doing our tires any time soon (the manager said this the same weird manager also throws bologna on the roof to feed segals at this business). After an argument erupted they put our two bald tires back on our car which messed up my alignment in my SUV. I went inside and found the "manager" talking badly about us to the customers one of which had a make America great again hat smirking at me. I asked for his hire up and he pointed to the sign on the door and continued to trash talk me. We have come here several times throughout the years for tire services spending $200+ at a time and definitely will never come back here. Horrible staff horrible service. read more

This is my preferred place for my winter tire purchases and snow tire changeovers. I particularly like that it is 'first come first serve,' since I am a procrastinator at heart and I just decide on a whim, HEY I NEED SNOW TIRES RIGHT NOW. (Topsham, Maine Location) I've tried using the online scheduler twice, and both times my appointment never came through to the store. Employees are often smoking outside entrance, and ownership loudly sharing his political views within the waiting area, while a slideshow of his personal photos play on a TV. Also, not a single employee was wearing a facemask or practicing social distancing, no plastic shield at counter, and no sanitizer present for customers; which their website clearly states are in effect. After having to reschedule the appointment that I showed up for, as my initial appointment scheduled online never made it through, I showed up for the scheduled time, was checked in at the counter, sat down and waited over an hour. When another person came in for their appointment scheduled an hour after mine, their car was immediately taken in to be worked on, while mine stay parked. The employee at the counter said he didn't know I had been checked in, making no attempt at offering to correct the situation. I asked for my key back and walked out. I don't know what to do at this point, as I've been told by the employees at this location that if I don't get the tires rotated there at the specified intervals, they won't honor the warranty; so I can't go anywhere else or even rotate them myself, and at this point I'm over the recommended miles. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years now, mainly because their prices have always been the cheapest, but I guess, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. While I'm not pleased at the idea of having to go elsewhere and pay more, it will be refreshing to have, even marginally, better and safer customer service. read more

So I was on my way home from work a couple of days ago and the dreaded "low tire pressure" symbol appeared in the dash. I pulled into the Tire Warehouse in Topsham and my home boy Marty didn't hesitate to assist me. Kamryn (with a K) quickly checked the tire pressure in all tires and filled the problem tire to the correct pressure. When I asked if Kamryn if he could check to see if the rim was bent he said not without taking the tire off. I went inside to schedule an appointment to have that done and Marty let me know that they could do it now! I was shocked and pleased that they were willing to take care of it now and not have me come back later. The customer service was outstanding and will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

These people are great! Went in on a Sunday to a packed store to have snow tires put on and as busy as they were said they needed some time would take care of me. Service was completed in a timely fashion everything done properly, the removed tires stored neatly in bags in the vehicle. Even offered a coupon discount that I did not know about. This is the second Tire Warehouse I have visited, the other being Portland, and both experiences were great. read more

My husband and I were traveling S on 295 from Augusta to Topsham when we decided to take a break at the Topsham Fair Mall. We soon discovered a flat tire. Since this was a rental car we didn't want to buy a new tire. A couple of helpful strangers came to our aid by assisting us in changing the bad tire to the spare. The locals suggested going to Tire Warehouse right across the street. We headed over there and the manager worked us in and put in a tire plug. We were soon on our way, safely to Boston. One star is way to much for this place. Went in for 2 tires because one blew out the other only had about 25k miles on it but I like my tires to have the same ware on them. That is why I bought 2 as the rear were put on new last week. I happily sat for 2 hrs as they took me right in. I left the place went home and realized one of the tires was the same one as I went in. I went straight back asked the employee behind the counter to come look at my tires I just bought. I showed him new tires and asked why that tire was not new. He had nothing to say no shock there. He said he would have a tire put on like it was supposed to I said no I want a refund. I got the refund but did not even get a sorry or any explanation just got my money back. This tells me and this is my opinion this is probably a common occurrence were they may or may not get caught. The Mgr or owner was not in the least fazed in the least. I strongly do not recommend anyone going to this place it seemed very dishonest at the very least. read more

I was quoted a price for tires at Town Faire Tire and called Tire warehouse to see if they could beat it. They could! Great. Made an appointment and dropped the car off. An hour later I got a call from a young man named Matt who explained to me that the lug nuts were stripped from my front passenger side tire and whoever had changed the tire last had ruined the tire on my car. He said that they could not fix it, and they couldn't get the fire off at all. He said that I should not drive it. I explained that was not an option so I called town faire tire to see what they could do. They said to get a printed quote from tire warehouse and they would beat it. A few more phone calls later I was assured by Kelsey at tire warehouse that they would have the invoice printed for me when I picked up the car. I arrived at tire warehouse about a half an hour later to ask for my invoice which I could see on the counter with my keys. The manager Marty approached me, and in and in an unbelievably condescending and belittling tone told me that he would not give me the invoice that I had been promised but would write down my quote on a business card. He began questioning me, borderline insulting me (mind you I am amid several other customers and employees) and when I attempted to take the invoice out of his hand, he refused to let it go. Cue a tug-of-war match (like, literally pulling back and forth) in the lobby of tire warehouse. He did not relinquish the invoice until the district manager came out of the background and said: "Marty! Give her the paper!" Did I mention I am SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT?!?!!? What a ridiculous situation/business practice/way to treat a person. I got the distinct impression that Tire warehouse, while acting like they were concerned with my safety, had no concerns above taking my money. By the way, Town Faire Tire had no trouble getting that lug nut off. Oh, and Marty is the store manager, so this wasn't some back-room guy that doesn't deal with customers often. I am thankful that the district manager, Mike, was there to witness this and quell my anxiety afterward. What a joke. Price compare (if you are strong enough to get the invoice from Marty) and save yourself the hassle. read more

I used to get all my tires and alignments done here. Never again. I'm not sure if there was a recent change in management, but I experienced what may have been the worst customer service I have ever received. As noted by my regular mechanic, my back tires were slapping the pavement, so I came here since this is where I had bought the tires originally. The first person I talked to was great - he noted that it looked like the alignment was off, which would explain the uneven wear I had on that tire. He looked through his records, found the part I needed, and said they could set it to right when I booked an appointment the next day. That's when everything turned on its head. When I came back, I was referred to one of their technicians, who has to be one of the rudest people I've ever met. He started to explain what they were going to do. I asked what I thought was a pretty basic question, as it concerned something the manager had said to me the day before, and he just looked at me, and switched into what I call caveman English (what you use when you suspect you are speaking to an idiot, or someone who doesn't speak English), speaking more loudly and slowly than he had been (but not actually answering my question). When I said to him that I was actually not an idiot and that he didn't answer my question, he said and I quote, "Well there must be something wrong because I'm telling you this and you are not getting it." To paraphrase what happened next, I ended up getting my regular mechanic, who works in conjunction with Town Fair Tires, to do the alignment instead, and explained to the manager that I would never be using their services again, exactly because of the rudeness of the tech person. It makes no sense to me, especially when you have a competitor next door to you, why you would treat your customers like garbage. Even if you save some money it's not worth it. read more

Bought a used car that came from another state and that owner had the wrong tires installed on it by Tire Warehouse in that state. I tried to get it inspected with them to no avail. I talked with Mark who is a District Manager I think and he said that where I was a third party buying the car and the tires had considerable wear that he really wasn't liable for them. I did agree to a point, but then he offered to help out on new tires if I brought it to The Topsham store so the tires could be inspected and to make a decision on what would be fair. In the mean time I had bought some tires. The Topsham store and Marty as a manager installed the tires and aligned it as well, all free of charge. It's really nice when you have a customer relations program like that. I'll be going back! read more

I would have given a zero had that been offered. They broke off my wheel lock, then sent me to get it fixed at Meineke. Returned, had the new tires put on (not the brand I was quoted-lesser brand) and left. Less than 48 hours later, low tire pressure. 23psi in one tire and 27psi in another. Called them and told them I would be in that evening. They checked me in and had me sit for 45 minutes. I went up to ask the status and they said it would be another hour to hour and 45 minutes. I decided to make an appointment for that Saturday. I had to fill up the tires twice while waiting for the appointment (mind you it was between 5-15 degrees out). Went in Saturday, they said the work was complete and sent me on my way. Got in the car the next day and the tire pressure gauge was on again. This time I had 17psi. I chose to call their corporate headquarters and file a complaint. Alexander Grant-Duncan, a customer service representative, took down the information and said he'd speak to his supervisor and get back to me. Nope. I called and emailed. No response. Called again and finally spoke with a different representative. I went to the Lewiston Tire Warehouse to rectify the problem. They were amazing! Fixed the problem and kept me abreast of the status. The Topsham location could benefit greatly by following Lewiston's example. read more

When I first walked in the manager was not interested in me. Only when I mentioned that I needed new tires his eyes lit up and he immediately helped. When I asked what was available he just gave me a price of $514.54 and I thought it was okay being new to the country. Once I payed I looked at the breakdown and noticed I was given premium install and when I asked about the coverage they seemed reluctant to explain. I called my wife after and she told me I had been ripped off. She has had hers done for $400 total. So she called and asked what the prices were and again they were reluctant. But in the end she found out they have cheaper installs and cheaper prices. They were not APPARENT with that and did NOT lay out my options. So far I have always received amazing customer service in America and was blind sided by this dodgy service provider. I will hopefully never have to go back there. read more
