As fate would have it, I took the car to the dealership for a recall and they discovered that one of the tires had a small bubble. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate almost two years with the car by treating her to some new tires. I reached out to Chris who quoted me $1,200 (including manufacture warranty) for four thick profiled performance tires, which was $1,300 cheaper than the quote that I received from the dealer. Chris quickly placed the order for the tires and called me the next day to inform me that they had arrived. Since the establishment is generally very busy on the weekends, I decided to visit on a weekday in hopes for a quicker experience. Thankfully, there was only one car ahead of me when I arrived. Chris instructed me to pull the car into the shop and immediately began removing the tires (I'm always impressed by a hands-on owner). Less than 30 minutes later, the job was done and I was in the office checking out. As Chris implied, I can confirm that the ride quality of my car has significantly improved. I have been a customer for seven years and have referred many friends and family to the shop. Unfortunately, it can be easy to feel like you might be taken advantage of when you don't know much about cars. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable, respected, and confident that I was dealing with a professional and honest team. I actually found them by chance when my tires were low and I thought I needed a tire patch. Instead of trying to sell me something I didn't need, they were honest and told me my tires were fine. I already knew they were getting old and needed to be replaced, so that honesty really stood out to me. My van has almost 300,000 miles (290K!), so it definitely needed some attention. I had Expert Tires & Brakes replace the suspension, replace two tires, perform an alignment and oil change, and replace my axles. All for a very reasonable price. After everything was done, my van feels like it just got a second life! Long story short, I highly recommend Expert Tires & Brakes. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!! fast forward 2 months & while doing a tire rotation at home i noticed a deep groove in one of the front rotors. i took it back to elk grove tire & wheel & their best guess was that something from the road got stuck in between the pad & the rotor. even though it was of no fault to them or their shop -- they replaced both sets of pads & rotors again since a deep groove in a rotor that's only 2 months old isn't something they want their customers to have to deal with. i won't bring my vehicles anywhere else but here for anything wheel/tire related from here on out. i'm blown away and grateful. thank guys for standing behind your work!! that goes such a long way!!

I'm not claiming the shop caused the problem, but mistakes can happen during any service. Tire installations and rotations involve human work, and I expected at least a basic inspection when a new noise appeared immediately after the service. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. As a customer, it's frustrating to leave wondering whether the vehicle is safe to drive and feeling like no effort was made to investigate the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Don't go here please go across the street your safety is very important!!!!! Thank you for your response. To clarify, my concern was never that a tire rotation requires disassembly of suspension or steering components. My concern was that a knocking noise appeared immediately after the tire installation and rotation, despite the vehicle not exhibiting this symptom beforehand. I did not ask for a free suspension diagnosis. I asked that the shop verify the work that had just been performed. As a customer, I expected basic checks such as wheel torque, wheel seating, and tire clearance before being directed toward a paid diagnostic service. Had someone simply said, "Let's double-check our work first and make sure everything related to the tire service looks correct," I likely would have had a very different impression of the experience. I understand that the noise may ultimately be unrelated to the tire service. However, when a new symptom appears immediately after service, I believe it is reasonable for a customer to expect the work performed to be verified before additional charges are discussed. I actually came here after reading another woman's review about how honest the staff was about what her car truly needed, so when I had a torn tire that needed to be assessed, this was the first place I went. I know many tire shops could have easily told me I needed two--or even four--new tires. Instead, a kind employee came outside, carefully looked at the damage, and reassured me that the tear was superficial/cosmetic and wasn't affecting the safety or performance of the tire. I really appreciated his honesty, expertise, and professionalism, especially when there was an easy opportunity to sell me something I didn't actually need. Highly recommend this place!
