Its taken me awhile to post this since I felt that I needed time to compose my thoughts about the situation. I'm not trying nor do I want sympathy for what I'm about to exp!ain. Over memorial day weekend I was informed by my sister that she had a mini stroke and had bells palsy on one side of here face so I did what anyone else would do I immediately got on the interstate to go be with her. On my way to dsm my oil change light came on so I took my 2017 Nissan Rogue sport to the Tires P!us off of Mere Hay Road to get serviced before heading back home to Omaha Ne. Unbeknownst to me at the time one of the technicians had broken my air filter housing assembly elbow which allowed to much air to get into my engine which made a mass air sensor fail. I came to realize this only because the check engine light came on when driving home from work. I took it to Woodhouse Nissan in Omaha where I and my husband were informed that it would cost around $1000.00 to fix. Once we gave to go ahead to start the work we were called and informed that the price was going from $759.10 to over $1200.00 (labor and tax not included) due to Nissan redesigning it. Being that I was told by Woodhouse Nissan that this part was broken at the last p!ace my car was serviced which was Tires P!us I immediately filed a claim which they later denied. Verbatim from the c!aims specialists from Tires p!us in dsm: the executives have made a decision and they have decided to deny due to the following: i had driven 2376 miles since they serviced the car and light would have came before and Nissan is/was aware of this part being easily broken hence the reason why they redesigned it. They are negating the fact that one of their technicians broke the part in the first place. I haven't even had my car 6 days after just picking it up on Friday 19th before the check engine light came on again and had to drop my car off again on Wednesday 24th so I'm still not done dealing with it. I'm blessed to be able to pay for this repair but I don't think its right! Furthermore, with Nissan redesigning it instead of issuing a recall I can't help to think about all the other Nissan customers that at some point will be dealing with the same issue and they may not be able to afford the repair. If I cam save just one person from going through what my husband and I are going through then posting this and reporting them to the BBB will have been worth it. read more

I've had consistently good quality service at Tires Plus stores in different states - Wisconsin, Kansas, Oklahoma. This weekend, I had a blow out outside of Des Moines, Iowa. Went to this store to get a replacement tire before continuing on with my trip. They took care of me promptly so I could get to my destination without too much of a delay. Brand new brakes that squeak so loud I can't even roll my windows down. When I told the manager Jim that you have to drive for appx 5 minutes to hear the squeal and then it gets louder. He said ya we don't have time to drive around for that long. So the brakes they just replaced sucks and they won't fix them. Last time I go there. read more

I have frequented this auto shop many times over the years for everything from oil changes to large repairs. There was a trustworthy team that knew me by name and was willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy. I recently went to this shop to have a problem diagnosed and was greeted by all new faces and offers to get a tires plus credit card?? I think not. After the diagnosis the shop guy tells me that the noise that my car was making would cost about $1200 to fix. To be sure I took my car to another shop that I had recent work done and was quoted for less than half the cost that Tires Plus guy said! Not sure if they are starting to take advantage of women or under new management, either way I'm unhappy and will not return. Mechanics can make so much more money if they are honest! read more

I've been in multiple times for an alignment. Each time there is some broken piece of equipment they have and can't do the alignment properly. Of course they don't tell you that ahead of time so I'm without a truck for half a day and have to funds rides there and back just to have to come back again and the next time another piece of equipment is broken. One time I took half a day off work and they couldn't do the alignment because the one and only alignment person was not working. I haven't been this angry in years. Horrible service. I was o ercharged for my service by initial representive which thankfully the second one caught. They convinced me to get a credit card through them. The vredit card was horrible. I overpaid on my account by 100 dollars. A week after i noticed the issue when i checked my bank account and realized i paid them instead of a different account i contacted them.to ask for a refund they refused and said they would not refund unless i got proof fri my bank showing money cleared period!!! Left my car at 2:30pm yesterday for an oil change. Called to check up on the status of it today at 8:00am. They haven't even gotten started on it. They close at 7:00pm everyday and open at 7:00am. Haven't even gotten started? Must be the laziest business in Des Moines. Don't go here. This place is a joke. This is the second time they made me pick up my car the next day, and this time it's way more ridiculous. They had 4 1/2 hours until close, and didn't even start on it in the morning. read more

Tires Plus did a rim swap on my '05 Tacoma. They were able to get me in at the appointed time and the manger even let me use his vehicle to run home and get some parts I had forgotten! They did an excellent job and the price was reasonable. Will definitely use these guys again. read more
