The people at the desk do not want to talk to you. I took my car in twice and have been ripped off both times. This time though, I got my brakes entirely brand new and two days later they were squeaking and then less than a week after the squeaking started, my brakes started to have a pulsing feel and sound. I was a loyal customer for several years but left four years ago because of issues with the service manager. I went back to get new tires because they had a deal. I recently brought my car in for a simple scheduled alignment, they said the bay was being used and that it might take a couple hours. I told Jonathan(Service Manager) that they could call me when it's ready and that I was going to the gym. He then calls me to tell me that there are several issues with my car. I need a new engine filter, my serpentine belt needs replacing, and that they recommend shocks and struts. Over $1000 worth of work. He brings me back to my car and shows me where the belt is worn. my car up on a rack, which is a huge sign that they are looking for work to be done, which is very unprofessional. He tells me that the serpentine belt will cost $199 and the engine filter is $60. I told him not to do any work yet and he then tells me he can drop the price on the filter to $40. He then tells me that he can do the belt for $130 because I found out that I can get a belt for $30. After all this haggling, I drive my car out, and my shocks are completely damaged when I drive over a pothole. I called customer care to report the damage to my car and the whole situation. I even talked to a local parts store who does business with tire plus and they say that they are well-known for scamming people on unnecessary work. Please avoid this store at all cost. read more

I have used this Tires Plus location several times when I was visiting family in Florida. They have never failed to take the information I provide and appropriately diagnose issues and treat them. This time I noticed my tire stuttering and the steering to the right slightly as I was leaving on a 600 mile trip, on a Sunday. I drove there, they noticed that a tire appeared to be separating, and had me on the the road in half the time they originally projected. They communicated well, and were honest about my options. They did not try to steer a decision, or push the highest cost option. I always leave there satisfied that my car is better off that before! read more

I brought my truck in to patch a nail that was in my tire. It was right in the middle of the tread and I thought fixable. They said it would cost $31. After two hours, they called and said the tire was not fixable due to DOT regulations and they had a replacement tire for $263 plus installation. I asked them to put on the spare and I would pick up my truck. They charged me $13.41. When I went to pick it up I checked the trunk and there was my wheel but no tire. I asked them for the tire and was questioned as to "Why I wanted it back since it was worthless" I took it anyway. I ended up taking the tire to Discount Tire and I simply asked if they could patch the tire. Before I knew it they had patched the tire without question and I asked if it was safe or too damaged to be fixed? They said no, it was a standard repair and it would be no charge. By the way, I shopped around and found the same tire the quoted at $263.00 for $149.00! Its a shame that experiences like these happen and that a place like Tires Plus feels the need to do these kind of things to stay in business. After my wheel snapped off my truck I filed a claim to cover the cost of the repairs which was denied by Tires Plus. They determined the video, pictures, and detailed documentation was insufficient. They claim "I drove to far after the service" before 4 out of 5 lug nuts BROKE off my truck jeopardizing me and my family. Ever have a wheel almost fall off? Pretty nerve-wracking. Thankfully I was slowing down to make a turn. Had I been on the highway I may not have been here to share with others. They also denied my claim for repairing my vehicle before filing the claim. I have a job to go to and kids to get to and from places. It took them over a month to review my claim. I would have been without a vehicle all this time had I not repaired it. I asked them how 4 out of 5 lug nuts would just break off and they said "we don't have to explain that to you." I have owned a lot of cars in my time and I have never had a wheel break off until I let Tires Plus work on my vehicle. I have been going to this location for odds and ends for a while. Today, I went in for a tire repair because my tire kept losing air pressure. They didn't try and entice me into replacing the tire, they just fixed the hole in under two hours on a Sunday morning. I have bought new tires before from this location also. I'm very happy to say that this place is back in action! I brought my car in for an oil change and they didn't try to tag me with useless extras. The one thing that they did mention I needed to have changed, I know for a fact it's true. I overheard some other customers' issues as well and I like the fact that the mechanics say: "Come on out here and I'll show you what I mean." That is huge to me, and especially to women who are stressing out big time because they're afraid some fast talking Joe is going to give them a scary list of all the possible things that can happen if they don't act now and spend an extra $200 on stuff that in reality they don't really need. Today I came in at 4:00 because I had a flat tire. From past experiences at any car place I expected to wait a few hours especially coming in so late. As soon as I told them the issue my car was in the back getting worked on. The guy, I believe his name was Wayne, had me go in the back and even look at the issue with my tire. Visited this location recently for a very basic service. They estimated the service to take, at the most, 45 minutes. However, it actually took a little over 1.5 hours and because of this I was late to work. Had an appointment to check/replace my battery on a Saturday morning, arrived early, they took the car in immediately and had me out within 45 minutes since they also did a tire rotation on the spur of the moment per my request. I have spent over $1000 over the past year at this tire store! I came in at 6:20 pm for a simple tire repair, due to driving over a nail! They refused to take me because they were closing. I took my car over to Tires Choice in Oviedo. They were actually busier and they close at 7 pm as well. Tires Choice is now doing the repair for me. Absolutely HORRIBLE..... they charged me $100 just to look at my car (which isn't horrible but they didn't tell me this prior to dropping the car off), THEN they told me I had to change my catalytic converter immediately and wanted to charge me $1700 for the job!!!!!! They went on about how it's super important for me to get it done. I took the car to TWO other mechanics just to verify and they told me it was working just fine !!!!! Don't go there they will scam you!!! I never felt so taken advantaged of and wish I could get my $100 back just for the nonsense they told me. First time coming to this tires plus and it was a bad decision. Had a set of tires sent to this shop to get done and I called the day of to inform them I'll be there at a certain time and I needed the car done at a certain time as well so I wouldn't be late for work. Spoke to Keith the person working front desk and was told it can be done within 2 hours or so. along with a alignment as well. I drop off car at 11.30. Come to the at 2.45 and car still wasn't completed. It came to my attention that none of the work has even been started :( According to them they thought I needed my car done by 3.15--- Car done with ONLY THE NEW TIRES PUT ON NO ALIGNMENT AT 3.19pm 4 hours at the shop. I've used them for a while, and usually have no issues. I even like some of the staff. That being said... Had a flat tire (nail), took the car in and had them put two new tires on the front. Drive to work the following day, and the car just about shook itself apart. Called them and told them there seemed to be a problem with the balancing on one of the tires. TP: "Yep, sounds like it. No problem. Bring it on in." I bring the car in. They take it back. Come out a bit later and say. TP: "We put the tire on the balancer. It's definitely off. I think there's something wrong with your rim." ME: "There wasn't anything wrong with it when I brought it in." TP: "Could be something with the tire then." ME: "Yeah..." Turned out the tire was defective. Why they didn't notice this when they did the initial balancing, I don't know? Anyway... "We'll getcha new tire." It's worth noting that this is not the guy I usually deal with. So that makes a difference. Hour later (the time didn't bother me), they pull the car up. I go up front to get my key, and that's when the crazy started. ME: "All set? I really appreciate it..." TP: "Yeah, there's a dollar seventy state fee. Nothin' I can do about that." ME: Puzzled at what he just said. Spotted my key which he put on the counter, and I grab it. "What?" TP: "There's a state fee per tire we sell. Nothin' I can do about that." ME: Even more puzzled. "Why should I pay that?" TP: Irritated, "I gave you a tire. That's the fee. Dollar Seventy." ME: Equally irritated, "You didn't give me tire. I bought a tire and you installed a bad one. I'm not paying anything else for that." That's not even mentioning; my wasted time, and the fact that TP probably didn't even balance the first one they put on... or they would have noticed the problem. OR they did notice and didn't care? TP: Pissed, "Fine whatever. I'll just eat it then." ME: Turned and walked out. Now, to be fair, $1.70 is not much. I think I even had that in change, in the car. It was the principle of the thing. I already payed for the tire, which included the state fee. Why should I pay a single penny more, for a faulty tire/install? I shouldn't. Not even a $1.70. So yeah, YOU eat that! read more

I have come to this tires plus branch 5 times now and every single time I make an appointment and show up on time and my vehicle doesn't even make it back into the shop long after my schedules appointment. I am also left waiting for hours on end for simple things like an alignment. I would give them the benefit of the doubt if they were slammed busy but then again it would negate my SCHEDULED appointment. I have yet to have a good experience here. read more

I've been going to the Oviedo TiresPlus for almost a decade, since I was 16 with my first car. They've always been super nice, professional and understanding. I always get an estimate prior to leaving the shop and they always give me a call if they find anything new prior to adding it my service. Sometime they'll even let me look at my car in the shop to show me the issue or show me broken part. I typically call or use the app to set an appointment. They do get pretty busy on the weekends and appointments fill up quick, so I wouldn't recommend coming in two hours before closing on the weekend expecting to be serviced the same day. read more

My vehicle I had recently purchased used had been giving me a warning for low tire pressure every couple of days and despite the temp drops I figured I would bring it in to be inspected for a leak or bent rim etc. I called Tires Plus and they said they would not take an appointment so I brought it in without one. They told me it would take about an hour to be inspected as they would take off the wheels and submerge them to look for leaks. I had told them the tire that might have an issue was the front left. Ten minutes later they came back in and told me there was nothing wrong with any of the tires and it was completely normal to lose 5 pounds of pressure every day. I asked if they checked every tire and was told they did. I was shocked at this as it took only 10 minutes to take off and submerge 4 tires? I don't think so. Therefore I decided this was not a normal rate to lose air and that I would take off the tires myself. If Tired Plus had taken off my tires they would have seen my vehicle had 2 bent rims that was causing air to leak slowly. Thanks for nothing. read more

I had and oil change and inspection done late Saturday 4/6/19 (it included a tire rotation and a test drive by the tech to check on a brake issue I'd noticed. I picked up the car just before closing time and drove the roughly 4 blocks home, parked the car in the garage until Monday morning, 4/8/19. At that time I went to take my dogs for a ride and walk. I made it at most another 4 blocks at which time I noticed a loud noise that I thought was construction noise (thought it was a power saw, etc!), continued about another 6 blocks by which time I figured out the loud noise was coming from my car, when I pulled over I saw metal hanging down underneath my car (it was scraping the ground as I was driving). I drove directly back to TiresPlus and spoke to the interim manager who proceeded to tell me that since it was a fresh scrape it obviously just happened (remember it was scraping the road as I was driving so of course the scrapes were "fresh" plus they just worked on the car on Saturday). He said that if I didn't do it someone else in the household obviously did it. Well it's just me and my husband and we were together all day Sunday, so no. My lesson from this is don't go to TiresPlus ever again, if someone test drives your car - go with them to observe and lastly, watch while techs do any repairs on the car. read more

He wanted to just let me know there were a couple of bent rims in case I have any problems. He offered to change the tire out no problem if I decides to ever get a new one. No pressure what so ever. I have been coming to this Tire Plus for over ten years. My son told me that seemed honest and knowledgeable. So I gave them a shot. Over the years I have done a lot of business there and have spent a lot of money there with my Truck and my wife's SUV. Yes there have been some ups and downs. In most cases (not all) everyone seemed very knowledgeable and with good advice. If I had issues Keith was always there to iron it out. He has always been courteous and professional. However this last visit has upset me to the point that I doubt that I will return. I called in around 0800 AM and ask about tires for my wife's SUV (RX350). I was told they could get the tires there around noon and that sounded ok. He said he would call me when they came in. Ok, no issues. So they called after 1200PM. I told them that I would be right in and asked how long to have the tires done. He said about 1 1/2 hours. Great, so I went in. I got there and I met Jonathan. He did the paper work. The invoice # 198891 states Wayne, but his name tag said Jonathan. He asked me if I was staying or coming back to pick it up. I said that I would come back and ask about what time. He said past 3PM. That was ok even though it was over the 1 1/2 hours, but I know that I was not the only one there. He said that he would call when it was done. Ok. I had not heard anything so I called to find out how much longer it would take. Jonathan answered. When I ask how it was going he said that he had not gotten to it yet. Ok, this kind of upset me. He said that he would get it in next. He said he did not think I was in a hurry. "REALLY" I told him to forget it all and that I was coming in to pick up the car. He asked what he could do and that He would get it in. I said no that I was coming in to pick it up. Then I thought about all the years the family has used this Tire Plus. So I said ok. About 4:30 to 4:40 I decided I would go ahead on in. My wife and I got there around 5:30. I went into the office and I saw the car in the back. They were finishing up with it . . . ok finally! They drove it around. Jonathan came in and the paper work was being done. Johnathan told me I would not get the discount rebate that I came in ($140 value) with because the Bridgestone tires I got were not on the list and that he did not notice it earlier. He did take $70 off of the bill. I was now getting more upset. His attitude was so condescending and arrogant that I needed to leave. He came across that I was doing him a favor by letting me buy the tires there. I left without saying anything else. At this point I thought about getting my truck fixed there which needed some work on it. But now I wonder if I will ever come back there again. But one thing for sure if I let the past sway me to come back and I walk in the door and see Jonathan I know that I will turn around and just walk Out! read more

I called around noon on Monday in need of new tires and an alignment on my truck. They did not have the tires I needed in stock, but Keith immediately made some calls and managed to get them picked up that same day and had them installed within a couple of hours. In attempting to complete the alignment he identified an issue with a bushing and advised that it needed to be replaced. Understanding that I was able to complete the work myself, he advised of the issue and offered to hold off on the alignment until I could replace the bushing. Most other shops would have insisted on doing the work and charging an arm and a leg. They offered to do the work, but without any pressure let me decide if I wanted to do it myself. NO PRESSURE. Such a great concept. Most other places would pour it on real thick to make you feel like you needed to have them do the work. I really appreciate the great customer service, the quick turnaround on getting the work done, the open communication, and the overall experience. Thank you Keith. read more
