We started to use Quick Lane regularly the past few years because of their consistent customer…read moreservice. Wait times have always been decent and we have found them to be helpful, knowledgeable and prices are decent. My recent experience adds to their five star service. After getting our Pacifica serviced for an upcoming trip, I drove home and immediately started to hear a new noise coming from the front tire. I pulled in my driveway (only a few miles away) and my warning light came on indicating no tire pressure. I drove back and the Quick Lane Manager Ross Erickson greeted me "what's wrong, you just left". I told him what happened and he personally took in the van ahead of the waiting cars. He also took care of the problem himself. Apparently, I ran over a large metal object that made the noise and a large puncture in my tire. He did it quick and NO Charge with a smile. Awesome customer service. As I told him, we will be back with all of our vehicles. Thanks Ross.

When I got there he noticed I had completely worn tires and needed those too! He was able to get my tires on that morning and at a great price! I am SO thankful for people like Ivan n this crazy world he was SO wonderful to work with in the midst of my panic! It's people like him that make this world go round! Thank you Ivan and the staff at Quick Lane Tire and auto! Happy customer and customer for life here!!

The good folks at Tires Plus in Buffalo Minnesota told me they do not care…read more Called Tires Plus and requested repair of my 2003 Ford Ranger emergency brakes. They said they could fix the problem, so I had my assistant follow me to Tires Plus so I could leave the truck there. I requested they fix it same day as I brought it in because I've had gasoline stolen from my car leaving it overnight at Tires Plus Buffalo location. The emergency brakes were completely non-functional, with the cable so loose the pedal didn't stop until the physical limit. These brake components (minus drums and shoes) were 20 plus years old, rusty and in a couple places worn through the outer covering into the cable itself. Got a call from Tires Plus, Buffalo Minnesota October 10th, 2025 at 11:15AM. I was told "it's going to be expensive" to fix my emergency brakes!  (it was around $900.00) I said - Go ahead and fix it. Got a call around 4:30PM I was told "We thought replacing the rear components would fix the emergency brakes, but, it didn't. It will cost another $600.00 to fix the emergency brakes." Since it was closing time anyway, and I wasn't going to leave my truck there, I said to button it up and I will finish the job myself (I've rebuilt engines and transmissions and repaired everything on cars from the 70's to today with many brake jobs - I'm not an expert mechanic, but experienced. When I got home and took off one of the rear wheels and went to remove the brake drum, it was so tight that I bent my gear puller 5/8" steel bolt trying to get it loose. The hub center where the drum lands wasn't cleaned - it was rusty and rough and tight. I went to the other side, where I found the brake drum had a large chunk of steel out of it. It could have been dropped, breaking it, or it could have been broken when they tried to remove it after realizing that their "spray and pray" approach to auto repairs didn't fix the Emergency brake. I couldn't remove the broken drum with my puller either.  At this point I called the manager and requested they get those drums back off so I could finish the repair job, since it appeared that only with massive force would these come loose, and they'd probably be damaged by all that pounding. I wasn't going to do it. The manager agreed to replace the broken drum and do the work so I could remove the drums myself with reasonable effort.  We agreed I would bring the truck in at 8AM on a Wednesday morning. On Wednesday morning I scheduled my assistant to once again bring me Tires Plus Buffalo Minnesota so I could leave the truck to get repaired. Upon arrival I spoke to (morning manager). I asked how he felt about what happened with the misdiagnosis, broken drum sent home and my own time involved.  I was searching for any kind of "ahh sorry....", but was met with complete indifference to my problem. I asked three times - "do you care that this got messed up?" and each time the response was clearly given in body language. He didn't care one bit. He responded "What do you want me to say?" I said maybe Russ Peterson the owner will care - morning manager still couldn't muster up any kind of apology or any accountability for a misdiagnosis that cost me time and money - " I didn't do the work." was his response! When I asked the original manager the same question, it was clear to me he didn't care either! We'll replace the broken drum was the best he could do. The manager seems like a nice guy whom I've worked with for 20 plus years, which is why I apologized when I walked out the door an unhappy, unsatisfied customer who not only didn't get his Emergency brake fixed, but now will need to find a new mechanic that I can recommend to my family and friends. And I hope plenty of people avoid the painful mistake of choosing Tires Plus Buffalo Minnesota to work on their car. They've shown me and outright told me they don't care.

I was heading out of state and just stopped to see if they could somehow fit me in even though I didn't have an appointment. I was worried about being safe on this out of state trip. Not only did the service department fit me in within minutes, they said they would not let me leave town without making sure my Kia was safe to drive. AWESOME!!! They did find a nail in the tire and were able to fix it right away. My Seltos is still under warranty so they did it all for free. From the minute I walked in. The Service Cashier, The Service Mechanic and the Service Manager were all super friendly, professional and eager to help me with my issue. In no time at all I was on my way and feeling safe about heading out of town. This really doesn't surprise me much as I have always got great service there over and over and over. I've brought my vehicles there for over 10 years now. The Service Manager Melina is simply the BEST!!! She has helped me and been so friendly and professional all these years. Even before she became the Manager. I honestly leased my current car there simply because of Melina and knowing that if I have any issue with kia at any level, she will or would try to help resolve it, and help me in any way she can. Cornerstone Kia is very lucky to have such a great person like Melina working for them and their customers. So here is a big thank you to the entire Service Department for once again helping me and going above and beyond that day when I didn't even have an appointment scheduled. I appreciate all of you!!! Thank you so very much

In addition, I was working from home a lot. I had just purchased a 2021 Ford Explorer, which should handle some snow. The winter came and went without any difficulties. Fast forward to December 2025 and the situation changed dramatically. I was no longer working remotely as much, and so far it's been an old fashioned Minnesota winter, with all the cold and snow that comes with it. On 12/09/2025, we had a pretty decent winter storm roll on through and it was life altering in the sense I've never been afraid while behind the wheel of a car -- until now. I was barely able to stay on the road. The tires that were on the car were so bad I couldn't even make it up a 3 - 4% grade hill near my house. I needed tires badly. Discount Tire has been my go-to for tires for the past couple of decades. I made an appointment for 12/20 and ordered the tires I wanted. Mother Nature wanted to time t me though, and what was supposed to be just a "dusting of snow" on 12/18 turned into a winter weather advisory. It wasn't as bad as the week before, but it was bad enough that I didn't want to have to deal with it anymore, if I didn't have to. On Friday, December 19, I got off work early so I called Discount Tire and begged to get in to have them installed. The person I spoke with told me to bring it in and they would get everything installed that day. I cannot express my gratitude enough for them making the accommodation to get me in, even a day earlier. Now, I'll be able to navigate the remainder of winter without nearly the difficulty I once had. Thank you to those that stayed late to get my tires installed and get me back on the road! A special thanks to Caleb, who somehow was able to get me in on a Friday night after 5 PM. You are literally lifesavers in this case.
