Had a great experience here when I took my car in to get an oil change and tire rotation. I called ahead and all their bays were open so they could take me right away. The guys behind the counter were very friendly and got me in and out on my lunch hour. It took about 25-30 minutes for my oil change and tire rotation. That must be some kind of record! Feel Like getting ripped off? Try this place. Dropped off the car to have an oil change and the rear brake disks and pads replaced. The called later to let me know the price had almost doubled for repair. Called around to 4 other shops and found one that was the original price, and one that was 1/3rd of there so called new price. Anytime there is something wrong with my 2006 SUV, I come back to this place. They know I don't want to dump too much money into my biking and beach SUV, and they are completely honest. I needed new front rotors and brake pads, and while some places would say the rear ones needed replacement too, they were able to shear them down a bit, so no replacement needed. I still had a little shimmy at high speeds on the steering wheel. Mike had me come back the next day and balanced the tires (no charge). You just can't get better than that. I took my Escalade to get a tire repaired, waited on car and when it was ready they had backed the car in, I got in car and drove 1.5 miles home, pulled in driveway and got out and noticed the front bumper had been damaged. Took the car back and they said they would take care of it, turned it over to their internal insurance guy who said since I drove away they weren't paying. It cost me 2,700 to get my tire fixed when it was said and done. Don't shop somewhere when the people won't fix your car when they break it. read more

Being around 5 o clock I assumed that they were very busy because they told me it would not be done until the morning. Pretty disappointed about this place. The only reason I gave it two and not a one is because the individual I spoke with about all this was really nice but other than that it was a terrible experience. So I made an appointment with this company to do my wheel alignment on my truck. I made the appointment a couple days in advance and when I showed up for my appointment I was told it couldn't be done that day due to them not being able to support it. I was furious inside because I planned my whole day around this since it was going to take an hour or so only to be turned down. They said they couldn't do it but two day's earlier, it was no big deal. They shouldn't be making appointments in advance if they can't support the jobs. They seem to bite off more than they can chew. So that was my first and last experience with this company. Shouldn't be that big of a job to do a wheel alignment. Thanks tires plus. read more

I had a tire that was losing air when I called Tires Plus to see if they could look at it. Although they were not able to that day (Sunday), I was there at 7:00 a.m. Monday (3/6) when they opened. Bad news - there was a nail in it on the side, more bad news I was told I needed new tires. Alfredo gave me the best possible deal on two tires and had them replaced in less than 30 minutes so I could get to work on time! I also made an appointment for the other two tires to be replaced, wheel alignment and oil change. Fast forward two weeks - Arrived for appointment on Saturday 3/18. They got my car right in to get the work done and I was out of there in less than 90 minutes! All the guys at Tires Plus on Kennedy are super nice, polite.....and funny! There was no "sales pitch" talk about all the things my card DIDN'T need. On my receipt it was noted there's a slight dent in one of my rims, but wasn't told "oh, you're going to need a new rim" to get more $$. I was also happy to hear that my regular mechanic (who doesn't have the hours I currently need), uses them for wheel alignments as that's the one thing he doesn't do. I said "I found the right place then". Prior to calling Tires Plus, I went to another place and the guy was like a used car salesman trying scare tactics and the usual "no one can beat my prices" line. Not only did I get a better deal on tires, Alfredo saved me about $300!! I will definitely go back for any car needs when my regular garage is not an option. Found a nail in my tire and the low pressure warning was going off. Took it to Tires Plus, they said they'd take a look. manager calls within the hour to say, "do you have road hazard insurance ? We cant save this tire, but it looks new - check with whomever installed it and see if they will replace it." Lo and behold, the shop across town that installed the tire agreed to replace it for free and the good honest folks at Tires Plus sent me on my way without a single inspection fee or charge. Any other shop would have tried to sell me a $450 new tire - I never would have thought to check with the dealer about a free replacement. Honest, reliable, great work. Brought my car in today for a misfiring engine on a high-mileage Mitsubishi. The people there treated my car great. Worked with Alfredo, who called me every step of the way to a perfect repair. Most importantly, he didn't talk to me like I was an idiot - respected that I knew what he was saying to me, and listened to what I thought about the car. Just exceptionally professional and smart. Alfredo even saved me about $100 by calling around to get a better price on ignition coils. Also, he thought it was going to take 4-5 days, but he managed to find a way to get it done today. Brought the car in at 10:30 am, had it back at 6:00. The technicians on my car were Rafaelito and Eliece. Props to them, too. My car drives better than the day I bought it. Instead of asking if they can help one of the shop managers started yelling at me like I wanted to ateal something. These guys are the absolute best! I bought my tires from TP in Kansas City about 6 years ago and they have been taking care of them for me here in Tampa for the past 4 years. They never hesitate to help me with any of my issues and are very accommodating in case I run into trouble (low air pressure, weird noises, etc). I tend to use them in conjunction with my Honda dealer just to make sure everyone is on the same page. They never get offended-if anything they try to work with me to make sure I am not getting ripped off. They seem to know their limits as to when they can fix a problem and when I should go to the dealer. They're very friendly and I know I can trust them to not cheat me. That's very, very important to me as I am pretty car-dumb and they have really helped me understand what I'm dealing with (which is something the Honda dealers never did). I would highly recommend buying your tires and getting routine maintenance from here!! read more

Would give negative stars, but that isn't possible. (I have never rated any person or shop negatively in my lifetime) I brought my 2014 Jeep Wrangler in for new brake pads. One of the workers there made it very clear to me that nobody from Tires Plus would be even looking at my car unless I considered back rotors. I agreed, paid $400 for new rotors and brake pads. My boyfriend goes to the tires plus with me to make sure everything looks good, I pay and leave. No mention of ANYTHING else wrong with the Jeep. Not to mention they told me it would take a few hours and my Jeep was parked there from 10am-4:55pm. I pull out of tires plus around 5pm when they are closing, and my tires begin having a serious burning smell. I call back, terrified, nervous, and upset to be told that they told me (which they didn't) that I needed a new caliper on the LEFT SIDE ONLY. My boyfriend, obviously angry at this point, called for me and asked them why they didn't mention this the day before/ and also mentions to them YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THE RIGHT SIDE TOO, not just the left. They say okay bring it in. They call back to let me know only the left caliper needs to be changed.... then charge me $300 for that one caliper and labor of taking the tires off the car (which they had also charged me for doing the day before as well). Finally they call and say it's done, once again stating that right side is perfect. No need to change anything on the right side. Long story short, I leave tires plus yesterday and my right back tire has a even more serious burning smell than the left one did. $700, 2 full days without a vehicle, a bunch of lies, and rude employees. That's what this tires plus gave me. I will Never again return to this store. read more

And he gave me estimates from most expensive going down and then justified himself by stating "I don't want you to have tires that will require you to come back here soon". I made an appointment here for an estimate for front brake pads. I was assured it would only take about 30 min. I noticed there was not a drop of coffee in the pot, and it was 10am.. not good customer service. I didn't leave until more than an hour after my appointment. Best prices, best hours, & quickest service in South Tampa! Located convenienlty across from University of Tampa on Kennedy Blvd. There are plenty of restaurants next door for you to walk to kill time while getting service or you can have them change the channel on the TV in the waiting room to whatever you would like. I called a couple tire shops for the best deal on tires 255 / 35 / 18 for my 335i coupe in the area and this place had the best price. They also have the best or longest hours: open 7am-7pm Mon to Fri, 7am-5pm Sat, 9am-4pm Sunday. I brought my car in on Saturday and it was so packed I couldn't even park in the lot so I was a little worried about how long it would take but luckily it didn't take too long. The friendly manager Alfredo told me that there was a mix-up and the vendor sent the wrong size tires but in order for me not to be inconvenienced by their mistake they put a more expensive brand of tires on my car in place so I could be on my way today instead of waiting another day and gave me a free upgrade! Their level of customer service was really above and beyond what I was expecting and a refreshing surprise! When I came to pick my car up the car, I noticed that service put tire shine on the tires and wiped down the rims which really made the tires look great and really stand out! Tires plus also does oil changes, alignments, air-conditioning and engine checks. They even had a wave runner in for service! Do not they don't do full repair service. They will not install hid headlights which is quite surprising. I've had my tires done here in the past a couple times and I have always been pleased with the quick and friendly service. Been here a few times over the last few years for this/that... figured I'd sing some praise about one of the guys there. Brought my wifes car in today to have some tires swapped out and the rims replaced. The cost was $20 less than what I expected (and have paid in the past), so there's that. While there, I chatted with Rob off and on while I was waiting and he was really pleasant, friendly and I watched him do what he could with a few customers to make their purchases and experience a little better - including helping one gentleman who didn't have the extra $10 he needed to finish his repairs. Unsure what he did, but I know the guy got his car fixed and didn't have to wait on someone to bring him $10. On top of that. A drunk homeless man came in, started berating him, threatened to come behind the counter and rip him a new asshole (his words)... I seriously thought we were about to end up getting into a fight with a bum, but surprisingly, Rob casually told him to leave and said he'd had enough. The guy kept yelling and asked if he needed to come over the counter to which Rob replied, 'that'd be the worst mistake of your life'. If it weren't for the fact that the guy was two feet in front of me with a knife in his belt - I probably would have LOL'd. I also didn't get the other techs name who actually worked on my wifes car, but he was equally pleasant. Hell, they all were. I was there for two hours and got to watch a few people come in 'with emergencies', asking for their full attention and expeditiousness in responding... and I have to say, I don't know how they do it and keep smiling. But kudos. I hope the owner of this place/franchise reads this and gives Rob a thank you for being refreshingly pleasant. read more

Went in recently to get my broken AC fixed and my brakes checked. Service was really superior. They were all very kind and very attentive even on a super busy saturday and gave me a great deal on fixing my AC. Will definitely be back to fix my brakes in the future. I needed my tire repaired for slow leak, I check my tire for any nails on the side didn't see anything so I call tiresplus on 1010 Kennedy and ask if they can repair it they said yes but I have to leave the car with them, ok fine. I also mention to them that I bought those tires from tiresplus cause they said it would be covered for any damage for a year. Only 5 months with these new tires I have a slow leak and expect to be covered. I walk in and John comes out with a pissed off look on his face and just starts with "phone number" I give to him I try to explain about my coverage he totally ignores everything and tells me if tires no good no coverage, I said ok. So I leave car with them get a call 4 hours later saying tire can't be repaired, I was told by the manager John, that the nail was in the sidewall and couldn't be fixed, he said I need a new tire for a cost of $110 pro-rated . I knew something was fishy when I called back and asked if I can come in and look at my damaged tire she said not possible. The crazy part about this all is when I asked around about feeling robbed my friends immediately asked me did they say "the tire cant be repaired because of the nail on the sidewall" they also was told same story about this place. Its a common scam. Please make sure to stay with your car and watch them as they inspect the tire to make sure they don't do anything and have them show you the "unrepairable tire" stay away from this tiresplus rude af and scammers. read more

Needed to buy a bungee cord to keep my trunk closed while I transported some furniture but the gentlemen here were more than just helpful- they were friendly and professional. Alfredo was able to get creative with some bungee cord and even refused my tip. Will at the front desk was patient and also helpful. I highly recommend Tires Plus. I stopped by today as two friends had recommended it to me. My battery light had come on and I thought I better get this checked out. I was greeted immediately by a lovely mechanic who brought me into the office.(I forget his name, an African american gentleman) Josh greeted and then assisted me immediately. He checked out my car and came back with a battery results report. It proved everything was good and he just told me to keep and eye on things. He said my steering fluid was low and had filled it up. I was relieved but mostly impressed with the high level of customer service and kindness shown. I was not charged and Josh would not accept a tip. Wow I have never been so disappointed in my life with a tire center. These guys tell ya what you hear. I ordered Tire from them was told they would be ready by 2 pm ended up being an hour and half later and they mounted the tires incorrectly. After I reinforced how I wanted them mounted. The manager took off $100 off the price acting like he did me a favor but in reality all he did was give me the sale price thinking In wouldn't realize this.
