Extremely dishonest and apathetic staff. I went in for an oil change and was told the amount. it was double anything I had ever paid for an oil change for one. I was there though and didn't want to waste time going somewhere else. Then it took over an hour with no updates align the way or apologies about wait time. I was told it would be an in-and-out situation. When I was finally called up to check out and pay, I was told the total was way more than what I was originally told by the person checking me in. After asking for the cost breakdown, and specifically asking about the difference in what I was told versus what I was being asked to pay, I was met with total apathy. I wish the person had just said, "I don't care." but the attitude and communication was saying that for him. But this last part takes the cake. It was an oil change good for 7,000 miles. when I got in the car, the sticker that tells you when you are supposed to get your next oil change said, "Next Oil Change: Oil Change Indicator." So at this point in the experience I knew I should check. Sure enough, the oil change indicator was set to alert at 5,000 miles-- not 7,000. I would not recommend to anyone who appreciates working with honest people. This is my first-ever review if that tells you how much this frustrated me. read more

We recently moved into the Watkinsville, Bishop community and stopped by Tires Plus September 18, 2020, on Experiment St Rd looking for someone to take care of our car maintenance needs. Randy welcomed me and made APPOINTMENTS to take care of both of my cars, 1st one @ 9 am and the 2nd one immediately following, since I would be waiting. I arrived a few minutes early along with 3 others, shortly after 9 am the doors were opened and my 1st car was taken back and was the oil change and tire rotation was completed @ 10:15 with my 2nd car on the property @ 10:25. Around 11 am after 2 walk in customers car car were in the shop, I inquired about my 2nd car and at that time was informed that he failed to make the 2nd appointment, he had a skeleton crew and that it would be another hour before he could accommodate me. Not happy and very disappointed with Randy and Crew @ Tires Plus of Watkinsville, I was given my keys and departed. I will be trying Care Craft in Watkinsville, Ga next! read more

We've gone to Tires Plus in Watkinsville for over 20 years. They've done oil changes (when they always also do a full engine inspection) and tire rotations, along with new tires purchases over the years. Pretty sure they're the reason my 2001 Tacoma is still going great. They are always fantastic with both their expertise and customer service. I just had a problem with the door handle on my Tacoma. They replaced it, it didn't work right, so they inspected and then offered some options. That didn't work and they just replaced the door handle again. Only charged the very first time. The folks here are great! When we needed our tires aligned on a new(used) Chevy 3500(for our 5 baby family), the guy was so kind. He said something like, "Well, I could charge you for it, and I could align them, but it wouldn't do any good. Control arms on both sides and rotors, etc., need to be replaced." That was so thoughtful of him since I was fixing to take the kids to the mountains that very weekend. It would have been awful if something had happened. Too bad I couldn't get the guy who sold it to us to budge on the price(which was high, but we were desperate). I even had to count out the kids' change jars, but finally! After a year! We had a vehicle!! Anyways! Big shout out to the owner/operator of Jacobs and son construction and his lovely little wife, here in Athens, who assured us that the truck had been cared for well, recently inspected, and only needed it's air charged(lie compressor was bad). So thanks for the truck! It's been a real bunch of lessons. PS: I know the guy at tires plus wasn't lying b/c my hubbs and I fixed all of that(no money left, you see) and it really was shot to pieces, all of it. I can't believe anyone could do that to another family, a needy family, but I am rambling. VERY thankful for tires plus and fair deals. read more

I called today and asked if he would put oil in my daughters car because she didn't want to get newborn baby out in cold . 1hr later get this text from my daughter "your people are the best , got some oil now " . My son was traveling home and hit something and blew a tire. I called Tires Plus in Watkinsville and they said they could help him and get him back on the road. He arrived about 2 and they said they closed at 5 but they would get him going again before they left. They were even better than their word, they had him back in the raid before 4. Went for tires. NO complaint there. Then they said that it needed 4-wheel alignment. Rear tires both were tilted out. I told them to go ahead. When I returned 20 minutes after that the car was already done and outside. Then they said that the hubcap clips were already broken when I brought it in, but they managed to attach it. It didn't make it 3 miles home on smooth roads, 45 mph before hubcap came off. I found fresh chip at the edge where they pried off the hubcap, and a freshly broken clip. I also asked for a copy of the alignment tests and they said that their printer didnt work, so they didn't have one. Said they did an alignment, but I don't believe that they did it in less than 20 minutes. I also looked at my tires and their was no wear pattern showing any misalignment. The gentlemen that care for your car here have always been kind, explained procedures to me, and gone out of their way to make the service of my car an easy process. These guys are just ripoff artists, plain and simple. I took my car in because it was just stalling every now and again but still very much driveable, so I figured it just needed a tune up or something. Several hours later I receive a phone call saying they've looked over the car and their estimate for the repair was $1349.12. Seems like these crooked bastards basically wanted to rebuild the car as I have a four page estimate that lists all the parts they deemed necessary for replacement ranging from the alternator, various ignition parts and even the entire front brake system, to which I never said anything about brake issues. They've lost my business altogether and I will not be back. read more
