Five Star easily earns five stars. If there were more stars, they'd have them all. They have been our garage for 10 great years. They are HONEST and do excellent, timely work for a fair price. I tell everybody not to waste time and money with other places. They have done our oil changes, replaced tires, as well as more complicated cases on our old cars. All have been done with excellence. I took my car there for them to take a look at. We told them that my car was jerking while driving. And that we wanted it looked at from top to bottom so that we would have a reliable car again. They didn't try to add on a lot of things to take money out of me. They got right to what I needed. They didn't try to pressure me either. I would HIGHLY recommend them! Absolutely the best mechanic shop I've been to in the 12 years I've needed work on any of my vehicles. Ashley at the front desk is undoubtedly honest and helped me determine what exactly I needed for my car in less than a minute. I originally came in for a new starter, instead of going with the more expensive unnecessary job he saved me 75% by diagnosing that I needed a new ignition switch. Tires plus told me over the phone to drop it off and they would put in a new starter (we had the exact same conversation as when I called 5 Star Auto). I decided to come here because I was quoted $100 less than Tires Plus! Will never go anywhere else again! read more

I recently moved to New Orleans and just had a less than positive experience with my mechanic down here. It made me miss Five Star Automotive. Aside from the fact that they are good, the thing I always valued most about Five Star is that everyone who works there is honest. This is not the sort of auto shop that you have to worry about jerking you around. They do quality work and at very competitive prices. I went to UGA for undergrad and grad school and in the seven years I was there, every single person I sent to Five Star always thought they were great. i came to this place with a engine coolant leak for my older car. They were very nice and fixed what i needed to fix and take a day to do it. However, i found out a few days later the leak had not been fix and i took it back to them. They waived the fee for the second visit but ultimately could not figure out what was wrong. They guys seem like they don't know what they are doing when it come to more advance work. they did not communicate with me at all and i had to call repeatedly in order to get information about what was going on. from all the good reviews from this place i was expecting better but was very disappointed. if you want to fix your car the first time and get it back at a reasonable time, do not take it here. read more

Five Star is great. As a former mechanic, I am very picky about who does my work. I don't usually have time to fix my own stuff, but I know exactly what they are talking about when we go over the work. They have never tried to swindle me in any way. In fact, they have occasionally reviewed my cars for free. Five Star is honest, affordable, and thorough. My favorite part about them is that they will tell you if they can't find or fix a problem. This may sound weird, but it is far better than someone continuing to fix random things in the hope that they get it right. The only reason they don't get five stars is because it can usually take a little while to get your car back. read more
