After diagnosing my issues, it was advised that I needed to get new rotors, brakes and suspension work. Long story short, I had to return three times within a couple of months because a grinding sound would return. First it was that they weren't properly tightened and had to leave it overnight. The 2nd time the car sat there for a couple of days before I called to see if there was any progress. They told me it was resolved. When I went to pick it up, it was as if it was never touched. The sound was still there. I had a supervisor take a spin in the car with me and he immediately heard it too, He didn't understand why it wasn't resolved. Each time I had to rent cars so that I wouldn't be on foot and had to go to work. With the third and "final" fix, they told me that I had to get Volvo OEM parts because the aftermarket parts didn't fit well and caused the noise issues. Again, more car rentals more days without my car, but they assured me I didn't have to pay extra even though the parts were better. Within a month the sound returned. I finally took it to a family Mechanic that was about 20 miles away and he discovered that they were bad parts. With barely a couple of thousand miles on these parts I had him put all the pieces every part in my trunk. The parts were still brand new, but it was clear even to the new manager at Pep Boys when I showed it to him. He said that he would check with his company to see what they can do about reimbursing me for these parts that were barely used, but bad. He asked me to wait until after the new year because of the holidays. Took my phone number, but I never heard from him again. The Pep Boys total job cost which I even took out their credit card for was over $2000. My mechanic dated for $700 and five months on the road and I have had no issues whatsoever with my suspension brakes or rotors. I don't know what they're doing there at that store or who the technician was that worked on my car, but it was the same one all three times as they stated it needed to be the same technician every time I took it back. He shouldn't be working there. I've officially moved on from ever using Pep Boys again and I still have these parts sitting in my garage as a reminder to not even consider them to put air in my tires. Avoid at all costs.

I had a nail in my tire and I arrived at 5:45 pm and by 6:00 pm I was able to drive safe to my house. I had stopped during my lunch hour and asked DJ the manager, if I could come back after work. They close at 6:00 pm, but he said that they would wait for me. I had called other places, but they refused to help me because of the time. Not DJ, he even called me and let me know that he had reserved the tire for me and that Abdul would wait for me to install the tire. If I had gone home with that tire, I would have had a flat in the morning and it would have been hard to get it fix and be at work at 7:30am. They were my angels. I came in the next morning for the appointment where I was greeted by Trevor. He informed me that I did not have an appointment. I showed him my call history and told him that I called the day before and made an appointment. He said that it wasn't their phone number, so I showed him on google where it is the phone number connected to his location. He seemed inconvenienced to accommodate me, but agreed to fit me in. About an hour later, I received a phone call where Trevor told me that I needed a brake fluid flush, a coolant flush, and a spark plug tuneup. I told him that I just had my brakes replaced and just got a new engine with new spark plugs. He continued to advise me that I needed these services and specifically told me that my brake fluid failed a test of some kind. I called the people who replaced my brakes, and they assured me that I did not need a brake fluid flush. I confirmed that my dealership did a coolant flush and replaced the spark plugs. I tried to call back but was left on hold, so I hung up and returned to the dealership. I told Trevor that I had confirmed that my car doesn't actually need any of the services he said I needed, and he rather snarkily responded "it was a simple recommendation based on the mileage." My impression of this interaction was that this Firestone location was actively trying to sell me unnecessary services either 1) knowing that I didn't need them or 2) without confirming that I did need them. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning to this location.

To begin, I came in a few days back to get 2 news tires and an alignment. They took longer than they said they would, and before checking out my car I had to pay and sign. Soon after my appointment with them I noticed a big scratch on one of the rims (that are relatively new and definitely wasn't there before) and that my car when driving it still had the same drift to the right that it had before the alignment. So today I came back in to point out the scratch and mention the alignment didn't work. I went in today to mention the scratch and alignment issue, and the same big guy got super offended and instantly started to be very rude and told me "don't come in here doing that". Then he offered to check the alignment (which he is contractually obligated to do anyway) and had me give him my keys. I was on a very tight schedule and when I noticed many other customers there I had the feeling it would be a long wait and I didn't really want them touching my car again after further consideration. So I came back out after 20 or so minutes and asked for my keys from the same miserable dude who accused me of just coming in to blame him for my rims and I didnt even care that my car couldn't move straight. Mind you I wasn't sure what they did with them and his unqualified team also couldn't do the alignment right. I then made it clear to him that I wasn't sure about what they did with the rims and that I had a very busy day (which I'm taking time out of because this place is so awful) so I wouldn't have any time to wait for them to do the alignment as they hadn't even taken my car back yet. We came back after exactly an hour and the car still hadn't been moved. We ended up having to wait another 35 minutes before we got the car back. They told me they would do an alignment check as well which was never done. I had a similar experience with this shop when I purchased the tires 6 months ago. I was happy with the price I got the tires for, but the service was slow. Last time, they took over 90 minutes longer than the promised time. I get it. Sometimes things get busy...but I have given them two chances now and both times I was disappointed. Don't plan on getting anything done quick here. If you are dropping off, then it may be fine. But if you are needing something done and don't have the ability to drop-off, plan for a good chunk of your day to be consumed and don't trust the given timelines. Hopefully they can improve the accuracy of their time estimates or better prioritize their customers to ensure better customer service.

Tuffys was great overall and pricing is about what you'd expect. I will have to come back for future services.
