I like coming to Tisun, it's a pretty large beauty supply store and they always have what I need and then some. They have a couple other locations too, so you have options. This location is massive, they sell hair products, beauty products and even clothes and so much more. There's plenty of parking in the plaza. The staff is usually pretty helpful if I need it and they always have a good amount of cashiers open. They carry a lot of good brands for the bar products I like to buy. DO NOT SHOP HERE! THEY ARE RACISTS! On Thursday, December 05, 2024 I purchased a bottle of hair oil and a bottle of hair refresher spray for personal hair use. Unfortunately the bottle of oil had a crack in the bottle and leaked in the bag before I could use it (I noticed it upon my return home, as it also stained my car floor mats. On the morning of Saturday, December 07, 2024, I brought both the bottle and receipt in the bag to exchange, NOT return. I spoke to the manager and let him know what happened, noting that I wanted to return the bottle. The manager responded they would have known if they sold me a faulty bottle. He continued to ACCUSE me of tampering with the bottle and jerked my receipt from me after asking to see it. I then showed him the email receipt. He wrote down some information then went to check the cameras, making me wait for over 10 minutes. He then returned back with a phone saying he had footage of me to prove I tampered with the bottle(HE WAS LYING.). At this point I was BEYOND INSULTED, so I left. To accuse me of tampering with a $6.99 bottle of hair oil that I NEVER WANTED TO RETURN IN THE FIRST PLACE was ASININE!! His actions were discriminatory on the basis of race, which I pointed out to him and he did not deny. There are MUCH better hair stores in the city that provide BETTER quality services! I am pretty certain that if you want it you can find it here! My issue with this store is that it is over priced. I looked at Camille Rose products, all can be purchased cheaper at Wal-mart and even Target. I was also looking for the Janet Collection Nala butterfly loc crochet hair. I found this hair in another beauty supply store for $17.99 a pack (they did not have enough packs or the color I was looking for). The same hair was $21.99 a pack at this store! Great beauty supply store! I would even go so far as to say this is probably the best one in the area. So I have to say I've been to a few beauty supply stores in the area and this is by far the best one. They have hair products, make up , nail polish, wigs, extensions, clothes you name it! There hasn't been one product I have had a problem finding in this store. The first time I came / I bought a wig that I thought was great! With the wigs/ they are all laid out so that you don't have to wait for someone to get it for you (only exception is the high priced wigs- those are behind the counter). Since I'm not use to this - I chose what I thought was the correct wig under the mannequin I was looking at- wrong! Not only did I buy the wrong wig BUT I also couldn't return it due to the "non refundable" process. All good- there are signs that tell you this and it's listed in plain English on the receipt so I had to chalk up a few dollars - no big deal. My only major gripe about this store is that there always seems to be a long line you have to wait in to pay for your things. They have 3/4 cash registers but you still have to wait in line. Although this is probably one of the best stores in the area - this would probably make me avoid coming to this store altogether if I know I need to be in and out. I have been patronizing Tisun beauty for many years but honestly their customer service has seriously gone down hill at both locations. They used to be so helpful and knowledgeable about their products and now it just seems that they're fully staffed with teenagers or younger people who 1. Don't speak conversational English and 2. Would rather be on their phones and playing with coworkers than to assist a customer. I have thick curly hair and have been thinking about trying lace fronts or wigs as a protective style but fully acknowledge that I'm clueless. I have walked around this store for hours in several occasions trying to figure it out myself and they've either ignored me or have been completely unhelpful in answering my questions. Also they don't seem to care about restocking popular products and don't offer discounts on floor model wigs. Like why would I pay full price for a wig that everyone has fondled and tried on?! I once talked to a manager at this location about the lack of engagement and poor service and he made excuses for their behavior. I ordered the Wannabe -28 wig. Within an hour of receiving, I discovered the wig was cut for framing on one side and the other side was cut around to the back of the wig. The website did not reflect that the wig is cut, it stated that it was long. I reached out and sent photos to support my claim. Their final decision after contacting the vendor was that the wig was meant to be worn this way and there would not be an exchange or refund and they were returning the wig back to me. I admit that I knew NOTHING about wigs or hairpieces before I stepped into this place. I went with a friend who is a regular customer and when she revealed to me she wore wigs I had to check it out because I thought hers looked great. I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the selection of not only hair pieces and wigs but the selection of hair care products. I became so fascinated that I purchased two wigs from them and received nothing but rave reviews across the board. The staff isn't the most outgoing in terms of asking if you need assistance but they are knowledgeable and when asked have always been professional. I would recommend this place to anyone since I think they offer such a wide variety of products that I can't imagine that you couldn't find what you were looking for in there. (They are short of one star only because I really don't particularly care for the neighborhood and wish they would open up another location that was a bit more accessible and a bit less "rough". What I need they got.. Being a woman of color it is HARD to find hair care products that work for me and my daughter hair especially where we live in the Carolinas which is a super suburban area and only have about 2% people of color. The beauty supply store include Sally's, Ulta and sections entitled "Urban Hair" in Walgreen and CVS and even then the products are not many and not what we use. Then there was this place it's Beauty Supply Heaven even though we had to drive about 45min - 1 hour with no traffic to get to it. This place reminds me of the many options we had back home in Chicago to get all of our hair care needs handled at any given time. The 4 stars stem from them having 99% of the things we need. I would give it 1 star if I based this off location or off the people who go to this beauty supply or off the staff who treat everyone like peasants. They didn't treat us as such because we are obviously not from the area however I didn't like observing the way they treated some people as if they were not worthy. read more

I recently visited this beauty supply store on my visit to Charlotte to attend a friend's housewarming. I visited the salon despite the reviews here because my usual stylist was not available before I left Winston Salem. When I arrived I was greeted kindly and I was tended to quickly. I was serviced by Rosy (the stylist on the end right). She gave me a hair consultation and listened to everything I asked, not like most stylist that do whatever they feel. I received a trim, color and partial extensions and absolutely LOVE IT! I was most impressed by how knowledgeable this stylist is about most all hair types and products. She gave me advice on how to care for and maintain my hair, as it was my first time getting extensions, and so far so good. All of my friends gave me complements at the housewarming and I feel more than confident with my new look. I will definitely be sending more friends that way and recommend this place to anyone looking for quality knowledgeable service at a great price. Whenever I need information about something, I do have to hunt people down to ask but my questions always get answered. There are plenty of registers to check out and they now have a form of loyalty club for discounts. I got a free $10 item for my birthday due to signing up for the program.
