I had been without AC for 2 hot days over the weekend and was so anxious about finding an HVAC company that is honest and professional as I am fairly new to this area. As it turns out I was very lucky. I ended up needing a new AC unit - mine was 20 years old and had several issues. The technicians that came out were courteous, explained everything thoroughly, and showed me various reasonable options/brands, or possibly replacing parts instead of replacing system. They gave me a portable AC to get me through and then, 2 days later, the new HVAC was installed and is working beautifully. The installation team arrived early and on time, kept me informed throughout, showed me the finished product, told me everything I needed to know to operate and maintain it. There was not one wrong step from start to finish. I feel so good about this company and I like knowing they will be there for me in the future. Very impressed with the professionalism of every employee I met or spoke to on the phone. I highly recommend Action Air.

The night before we were scheduled to leave town for 5 days, our heating system started making a…read morehorrible racket. Of course this is December, and of course it's supposed to freeze the following week. I immediately started looking for a heating and air company that had good ratings and one of the first to pop up was Larry's Heating and Cooling. I called first thing in the morning and they were able to get someone scheduled to come out the same afternoon. The technician, David, called when he was on his way. He arrived on time, was extremely personable and professional. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in his field. He diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes and took the time to show me what the issue was and how it needed to be repaired. Because he needed to come back with a part to get things fixed and the weather was going to cooperate, we scheduled for a week later when we returned from our trip. The day he said he'd be back, he showed up as scheduled and in a couple hours he fixed our unit. Temps dropped below freezing the next day, but our heat worked perfectly so we didn't care. David did a great job! Great team, very competitive pricing; highly recommended. It's who we will call in the future if needed in the future for certain!

They installed a new coil in my indoor unit in Aug 2022 for $2k+, wasn't cooling and had lost gas…read morein April 2024. They did a service call and said my coil was leaking, sent an estimate for full unit replacement only about a week later after I chased them and asked for a warranty repair - they said no warranty after 12 months. Got a second opinion, the SKILLED and HONEST other technician from a different company went to the attic, 15 minutes later said the coil wasn't leaking, but there was a plastic cap that wasn't tight and had oil residue on it - they replaced and tightened the cap, refilled the gas and everything is fixed for a fraction of the price of a new unit. This is my experience with Larry's heating & air, why I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone else. I gave them an opportunity to explain to me what happened and why the problem was misdiagnosed, but haven't heard back from them.
