Red Mountain Garage Doors uses low-cost social media advertising as a predatory lead-generation tactic just to get a foot in your door and hit you with a massive upsell. I booked their $49 tune-up special for my three-car garage (totaling $147). The technician arrived carrying absolutely nothing but a standard can of spray lubricant. He spent a combined total of 5 to 8 minutes for ALL THREE DOORS. He did nothing but spray the rollers and pulleys. When I explicitly asked him to complete a baseline physical inspection of the hardware, checking for loose bolts, nuts, and spring integrity, he flat-out refused, claiming everything was fine. Immediately following his refusal, he tried to pressure me into an estimated $1,600.00 overhaul to replace rollers, pulleys, and bearings that he hadn't even formally tested. To make matters worse, I paid via a mobile card reader, and they promised a receipt and service checklist would be emailed to me immediately. It has been over 48 hours. Despite multiple phone calls to their office and management, they have refused to provide an itemized invoice, a receipt, or a service record. Management dismissed my complaints by claiming a "tune-up" is just a visual look and a spray. However, their website URL structure deliberately uses the terms "tune-up" and "maintenance" interchangeably to deceive consumers into thinking they are paying for actual preventive mechanical service. This is an unprofessional, deceptive operation that refuses to provide basic financial receipts or real mechanical service. I have initiated a chargeback with my credit card company and filed complaints with the Alabama Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, the BBB of Central Alabama, and the FTC. Avoid them at all costs.
