I had called the previous plumbing business I used before, but it appears Titan had bought them up from what I've been told. A guy from Titan came over to tell me about water filtration system and he said I needed $3900 worth of filtration because my water was terrible. I found that hard to believe because my had been tested and was very, very good at that time. I had another company come and they said my water was perfect and there was absolutely no need for any new system. He said Titan was just trying to scare me into paying them to do some work. Do NOT use this company. Intentionally misleading prices. 100% call around before using this company for ANYTHING. Their website is full of misleading pricing information, and they will not give you a quote when you schedule anything. When you call, you get an ai bot too. Probably so they can avoid telling you the truth. A sewer line inspection cost $500, when surrounding companies charge $250. The only sewer line diagnostic prices on their website say $99. You should absolutely be notified when scheduling what the actual price will be, if it's different than posting. Not showing up at the inspection with a ridiculous price knowing n there's a very limited window to have these inspections done. When called, the general manager is incredibly rude and disrespectful. The individual that came out to do my inspection was kind and professional, though. So this is obviously a management/owner deficiency. read more

I've now had two very negative experiences with Titan Plumbing. I used to receive great service when they were JMills Plumbing, but since the change, the quality has gone downhill. The first issue involved a leak they came out to assess. I was told it was due to not caulking my tub faucet to the shower insert, so I fixed that myself. The leak continued, and when I called back, I reasonably expected them to stand by their original diagnosis. Instead, when I questioned it, the general manager, Brandon Pullen, became hostile, raised his voice, and accused me of trying to take advantage of the company. While I may have been frustrated, I was never treated with professionalism, and at no point did he calmly explain their reasoning. That kind of behavior from a general manager is unacceptable. The second experience was just as frustrating. I pay $100/year for their Gold Star membership, which is supposed to waive service fees. I scheduled an appointment through their automated system for Sunday (10-12), waited around, and no one showed. When I called at 12:20, I was told weekends are "emergency only" with a $200 fee--and that their own AI system had incorrectly scheduled me. Instead of honoring the appointment, they pushed me out another 72 hours. Between being spoken to disrespectfully, poor communication, and wasting my time, I've canceled my membership and will not be using them again. I would strongly caution others before choosing this company. read more

DON'T USE Titan Plumbing!! My friend, who's a single female just needed her shower drain unclogged, a small assessment of why her bathroom sink was leaking along with her Kitchen faucet. They totally took advantage of her and only snaked her drain and told her she needed a new bathroom sink, and a new kitchen faucet. Mind you nothing was done about the faucet and sink for the price of $740! Highway robbery to do this to someone! Even a call to the manager Jay, asking for a breakdown of why it cost so much for just a snake job was left unanswered!. The only snake job I see here is by TITAN PLUMBING! Absolute scam!! I will never use this company again. I feel completely taken advantage of. I had a clogged shower drain and two leaky sinks. I was quoted $738.00 for the work, which I thought was high, so I asked for a breakdown and they don't do that. I was under the impression that by the time the tech left, everything would be fixed. By the end of it, the only thing fixed was my shower drain, which was snaked. I was told that I needed to replace my bathroom sink and replace my kitchen faucet (after some calcium was removed). I still have the same issues I had before the tech came, minus a clogged shower drain. All for the price of $738.00!!!!! Absolutely insane. The tech was very nice and informative, so nothing against him. Called and spoke with Jay, the manager, and he did absolutely nothing to try and justify the charge or even provide a breakdown. I purchased an iron filter from J. Mills 5 1/2 years ago. They installed an overly large one for a 2 person household at a cost of $2700. At the time the tech said because it was oversized, that should service us for the next 10 years or more. 5 1/2 years later, we're getting iron again. A bad control head on the filter. The warranty on the head is for 5 years, so we are just outside of that window. J. Mills wants $2200 for a new control head. They don't owe me anything. I'm a few months outside the warranty. But it would have been nice for a bit of consideration on the replacement. You will pay top dollar for J. Mills. Joey the technician did fine. read more

I have been a J. Mills customer for many years. I find this company -- now Titan Plumbing -- to be the best. I had Dennis S. out today to do my back-flow test for the City of Howell. Dennis was great. He performed the test, explained each step in the process and got me a passing result! Another exemplary employee of Titan Plumbing. Don't forget, you get what you pay for. Outrageous fees. They bought J Mills plumbing. I used to use them. Titan bought them out. They wanted to charge over $1400 (that's with a military discount) to replace leaking shower valve. I even have all the hardware to replace. That quote was just for labor. read more

Pete Black Plumbing and J Mills Plumbing merged and is now Titan Plumbing Group. Pete Black Plumbing has been in the Howell community for years and has always been responsive and most of all affordable. I called Titan today for a (single hole) faucet replacement as it was leaking down into the sink cabinet. I have the exact faucet to be replaced. The young man Joey shows up within 45 minutes, which is great. Then he said he would give me 2 estimates one with a senior citizen discount and the other with a gold member discount. The estimate he gave me was $632.00!! I asked about the discounts and he said they were already included. I told him that's ridiculous and is not going to happen. He apologized, I told him no need for him to apologize it's not his fault for the outrageous pricing. He charged me $99.00 for the service call and left. He was at my house for maybe 20 minutes, if that. Again, not his fault, he was doing his job and he was a very nice young man. I do not recommend Titan Plumbing Group to anyone! read more

This company scammed me and ripped me off. They replaced my garbage disposal unit at a cost of $589! (The unit sells for $114 on the home depot website) What really is infuriating is they neglected to inform me that the unit they replaced was a smaller unit than they took out! ( 1/2 HP vs a 3/4 HP) I phoned them, once I realized what had occurred, and asked them to either come back and put the same size unit in I previously had, or reimburse me some of the money. So - I've not had bad things to say about these people until now. I needed my basement bathroom pump replaced. They sent me a quote including to replace a seal/wax ring on the toilet next to the access panel where the pump was located. It was for $571.00 just to take it off and replace the wax ring which is ridiculous for a toilet...I could buy a whole new one for way less money including the wax ring. Bad enough they charged me over $2200 to do just the pump replacement, the part being the majority of the cost. When I looked up the part, they charged me more than double the cost of the pump at Home Depot. Not sure who they are buying their parts from but they are either getting ripped off, or are ripping off the Comsumer by more than doubling the price of the parts. If you want to make a profit, be honest and put it in labor or profit, not doubling or tripling the price of the item you are replacing. Anyway. I told them not to do the toilet, that my BF could do that. So they come out to replace the pump and cut my entire wall out to get to the pump, instead of going through the access panel area. They NEVER said they had to do this, nor did they say the toilet had to be removed in order to get to the pump, they just cut a 6 foot tall by about 2 feet wide hole in my drywall to get to it. Now, I am not at home, I am up north so my son was handling things for me down there and he had to go to work, so his best friend went to my house so they could get in and do the work. He was not aware they shouldn't be doing this and was apparently told by the technician that I ok'd this... which I DID NOT! nor was it written anywhere or told to anyone this would be done... Now I have a great big hole in my wall that they are not going to anything about! We have called the "manager" and he basically told my son...Oh well... they needed to get in there and since no one took out the toilet, they cut the wall.... I will NEVER EVER use J Mills anymore. Let me just start this review by saying that I have never had a great experience with any plumbing company in the past. I was expecting a lot of the same when I hired J Mills to replace a leaking ball valve leading to my sprinkler system this spring. The communication was great from the start and they arrived on time the day of the repair. There was a hiccup during the repair process and Joe (the owner) went WAY above and beyond to remedy the situation. He has now earned a loyal customer out of me. This was our second experience with J. Mills Plumbing & water treatment company based in Howell MI. Matt was the plumber that provided service to us. From beginning to end of service (calling to set up an appointment to end of service clean-up), there was professionalism, review of issue found, plan of fixing/correcting the issue and review of those costs. We also discussed that if anything outside of our plan arose, we would have another conversation and review the situation together, with additional options presented. This included a revisit of what work had been completed, as well as things to look for. Business cards were provided with diection to call the office if we had any questions or concerns. Had them come out for a fluctuating water pressure. They came to the conclusion that it was my pressure tank. I had them put it in 4 years ago so it was under warranty. Still cost me $750 for labor under warranty to put in a new one. WOW. They said the old one was no longer available so they tried to get me to pay the $197 difference between the old tank and new one. I voiced my opinion and they did cover the difference. Fast forward 2 days and the problem is still not fixed. Water is still fluctuating and I'm out $750. Was it the tank really? read more
