I've been around construction my whole life and can honestly say that Titan is one of the most EXCEPTIONAL companies I've had the pleasure to work with. I can go on at length about all the reasons Titan is a great contractor worthy of the highest recommendation (integrity, reliability, quality, professionalism, etc..) but I feel this review would be better spent elaborating on what makes Titan an EXCEPTIONAL company. My wife and I planned / saved for 4 years to do a comprehensive remodel of the exterior of our house which included: siding, windows, doors, roof, framing soffits (for lighting), etc. We essentially were going to do a total "re-build". We had a very clear vision of what we wanted and the task was to now find a company to get us there. We received bids from a total of 4 companies with Titan being the fourth and last company we met with. At our first meeting Chris Harris, Titan chief estimator, spent a couple hours with my wife and I going over every aspect of the project. Chris could have gotten what he needed for the bid much quicker but he took the time to listen and understand exactly what we wanted. Chris is very knowledgeable, no pressure and easy to talk too. Throughout the process Chris was always available and responsive (even the 4 times I modified (increased) the scope). The decision was made and we went with Titan. There is always a level of nerves and stress associated with a remodel project, regardless of size. Did I get enough bids? Did I communicate the scope accurately? Did I pick the right contractor? Not only are you making a substantial investment but your family is going to be living at the job site during the project. How's the staging, scheduling, crews, clean-up, etc. going to be coordinated with daily life? Mike Connors, owner of Titan, understands all the concerns and built Titan on a unique philosophy that eliminates a lot of the nerves/stress allowing primary focus to be on project details. Mike approaches the project as a partnership with his client. Mike does not require a % partial payment up front (50% was standard with other companies) and you only pay when the project, or that agreed portion of the project, is completed to your satisfaction. Think about what that says about your partner: * Mike's willing to financially invest in your project. * Mike believes in their work and confident you'll be satisfied. * Mike has complete trust in his crews and how they manage the jobsite (your home) daily. By taking this partnership approach, Mike has created a process that reduces all the "noise" allowing total focus on achieving your vision. I braced my family for the typical "grin and bear it" experience during construction but found our experience was quite the opposite. We really had a great experience and a lot of fun working with Titan. We found everyone to be engaging, respectful and enthusiastic. I can honestly say our partners at Titan were as excited as we were to see our long-planned dream come true. Our house was built in 1982. It was definitely time for a facelift. I wanted to update the siding but also the windows. My preference was working with one contractor so I only would deal with one person (and also hoping for cost savings). I spoke with Mike (the owner). He was really responsive, polite and spoke with pride about his work (definitely a plus in my book). Mike scheduled a time to come by the house to assess what we were looking to do and measure. He showed us some samples of siding then but recommended that we come by his office to look at the sample windows and more siding to make our decision. At his office, we decided on the finish for the Hardy Plank siding, trim and upgraded windows (from builder grade). His quote was detailed and included the HardieWrap, flashing, caulking, sealants. It also included painting the siding, trim, gutters porch ceiling and entryways. He provided us with the quotes and told us that upon signing the work would likely start within the next 6 weeks. Why them: I am always one to look for a great deal but I also have learned that sometimes cheaper cost you a lot more in the long run. His price was very competitive and I did not have to pay until most of the work had been completed. Titan siding had excellent reviews on Yelp and Angie's List. Also, the owner took the time to respond to the negative comments and try to help resolve their issues. I was sold. We signed and the work actually started 4 weeks later. The windows were installed in less than two days and the results are fantastic. We consolidated 3 smaller windows in the master bedroom to one large slider and the room looks so much bigger and brighter. We love it! We did something similar in the living room and it feels a lot more spacious. A couple days later, the siding crew arrived and got started. In two days the old siding was removed and the new one was installed. On the third day, caulking, sealant was applied and they prepped the house to be painted. The house was painted in two days. The only thing was that the paint and name on the canister did not match the paint inside the canister but that was a problem with the paint store and they came back the next day to fix it and to do minor touch-up at no cost to me. Could not be happier with the result. PS: The crew walked around the property with magnets to remove nails or other metal pieces that were dropped while they were doing the work. I was just admiring our new-looking house this evening and thought- "I've got some yelpin' to do!" Hard to know where to start. Our siding had never been replaced since the house was built in 1981. A few years ago, when we had very heavy rain, we started experiencing a leak inside. It got worse in the last six months and we had two roofing companies come out, and both identified the problem as siding, not the roof. I settled on Titan largely due to their online reviews and I know we were steered in the right direction because our experience with Titan was completely positive and our house looks like the new kid on our block. We picked a siding that had sort of a wood grain to look like what was there before. The slats were narrower and actually came out looking better and more modern than our previous wood siding. Original soffits and facia were retained because they were in good condition, with the exception of one area which was perfectly repaired with wood to match. What impressed me the most is that the company owner, Mike Connors, showed up every day to review the work and answer any questions we had. It is clear that Mike is the type of small businessman that all should be, in a perfect world- knowledgeable, engaged, conscientious, and entirely customer-centered. The siding was installed quickly, and the paint was perfectly matched to what we had before. In fact, it looks better- we had done our own painting five years ago and weren't entirely consistent in the applying the contrast trim color. Mike walked around the house before Titan did the painting, pointing out slight color changes in the trim that would make it look more consistent and his suggestions were spot-on. The premises were promptly cleaned up, with the assistance of a metal detector to ferret out nails that had been pulled when the original siding was removed. I know siding can be expensive, but I felt that we were quoted and paid a fair price that has added a lot of value and visual appeal. Highly recommended! read more

Wow. I don't know if I got the bad installation crew or what, but my experience seems very different than most here. We had Titan install a full house of Simonton vinyl replacement windows. (36 total if I recall correctly) I have no issue with the windows themselves, but the install job was just terrible. About 1/3 of the window openings suffered damage to the drywall. They fixed the one where they created about an 1/8 inch gap, but said the others were "normal" for window replacement. The worst part was the caulking. The quality of the caulk job was terrible. Light can be seen under several of the windows because of the gaps in the caulk. As if that wasn't bad enough, they got caulk everywhere; on the house, all over the patio, including the patio furniture. Six months after they were installed, the interior caulk was failing on about half the windows. I called to complain. The owner was quite rude and basically said it wasn't their problem. It was due to the house settling. Really? A 20 year old house settled so much in 6 months to cause half of the windows to have caulk failures? He said he'd be generous anyway and send a crew to fix the problem. Unfortunately they sent the same crew that installed the windows. They just slapped more caulk over the bad stuff. Didn't remove a bit of the old. I imagine that will fail again soon. Finally, whenever the wind blows the windows howl. Mike told me he sees that in about 1 in 20 windows, yet we have about a dozen that suffer from the problem. They did nothing about it. I called Simonton directly and found out that all the screw and adjustment holes are supposed to be caulked and capped. Guess how many were done this way? Zero. Thankfully Simonton's warranty service is awesome, and they're sending me a load of caps to plug the holes. Sad that after paying several thousand dollars for new windows I have to fix installation problems myself, but I'm certainly not letting these guys come back to my house. read more

The crew from Titan did an absolutely fantastic job with our window replacement project. We replaced all of the windows in our two-story 2100 square foot home. We interviewed three companies and, while Titan wasn't the least expensive bid, we felt we were getting the best windows we could reasonably afford. We also wanted to use a truly local company, and Titan fit the bill there too. Lamar, the sales person who we first met with, had a friendly low-key approach and in comparison to one of the other sales people we dealt with from a different company, was definitely a breath of fresh air. We just love love love our new windows but what we really want to comment on is the outstanding service from the company, in particular the crew that did the installation. Very professional, very efficient, very thorough. And, miracle of miracles, we didn't pay a cent until the job was completed to our satisfaction. As other folks have commented, it is a nice touch that Mike, the owner, does a walk through and makes sure that everything was done correctly. We can't say enough about what a great company this is - we'll definitely use them when our siding needs replacement/repair as well. Go Titan! read more

My wife and I wanted to upgrade our home with new Hardy plank siding. We went to the H&G Show and got a few companies cards and called them all for quotes. After talking with those companies I knew a little more about Hardy Plank siding, quality and installation. But didn't get a good feeling with any of those companies or salesmen. I went online and did more research and that's when I found Titan and we are happy we found them. After several quotes Titan was our favorite not the cheapest but competitive with other bids I have had. Mike Conners the owner made us feel great about our new upgrade. He told us exactly what will be done and had it all in writing, complete job done painting as well. They came out did a great job and I liked that the owner was there each day making sure all went smoothly. I'm a Master Electrician so I knew what to expect and Titan delivered! Titan is the best company that has ever done work on a home for me. The company installed Hardie board on my house, painted all exterior trim, and installed a new roof. The owner, Mike Connors, had the foresight to eliminate problems that usually occur during a project of this magnitude and provided excellent customer service and high quality work in every phase of the project. The job was completed on schedule, and written warranty information was provided to me. Also, during the bid process, Titan gave a complete, detailed estimate -- the only company out of the seven that I contacted who took the time and effort to detail the job in writing, including timelines and guarantees. We contracted with Titan Siding, Windows & Exteriors on several projects. The initial project was to do a full replacement of our windows on our house on Lake Travis. This morning Titan Siding and Windows arrived and replaced our windows and I can't say enough good things to express the outstanding job they did. The entire process from obtaining the quote to the installation to the final walk-through was professional and absolutely amazing. They arrived with a team of six men and had all 13 windows installed, blinds removed and replaced and everything completely cleaned up in only 5 hours! There were no communication barriers. They cleaned out every speck from our yard, our home and even cleaned all the windows. The window were installed a few weeks later than expected but we were in no hurry and besides, Titan doesn't require a deposit prior to ordering/installation. The crews completed 16 of 17 windows in two days. They were very careful with our property, using drop cloths for all inside work. Final clean up was outstanding. The crews have worked together for years and it shows in quality of the end product. As an important last step in the quality control process, the owner came to the house to check installation of all windows and to check and explain the operation of movable pieces. The 17th window was misplaced or lost by the manufacturer so it will have to be installed at a later date. That was the only letdown but one that can't be blamed on Titan. We had Titan come out and do an estimate for us. They weren't the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive, either. When we got ready to book the installation, we sent Joel an email with no response, then we called his cell number on his card, also with no response. This was unfortunate, because we really liked their good reviews and philosophy of customer service, so we were going to go with them. However, no response means no business. Rusty from Window World answered on the second ring and came out the same day to take measurements and placed our order for the same size and brand of windows at almost $1K less. We're keeping our fingers crossed they do a good job and will review them when it's complete. read more

We recently got new windows, roofing, siding, and painting on our home in South Austin from Titan. I was very pleased with the work and the experience as a whole. Everyone I worked with from Titan from the initial salesperson to the project manager was great. They did a great job of communicating with me through the process so I always knew what was going on and where we stood on the work. Also very impressed that Mike (the owner) personally came by my house several times to make sure things were going well and called/texted whenever they needed info/feedback on certain things. Replacing windows is expensive. If you are going to spend that much money it is important to get your money's worth. I couldn't be more pleased with the product and people of Titan. I had some unusual request. I wanted to install a new patio door first to see if I liked what I was getting. I did. I then wanted all the windows replaced but due to summer travel, I needed to order in April for an August install. Crazy right? But they worked with me and got my windows in. We even had concerns about one of the windows. I gave them a call and they got it replaced. Very, very pleased with the work done by Mike and his team. Their process is methodical and thorough... we knew that what we had looked terrible, but didn't really know what needed to be done to change that. Titan gave us advice and options and the finished product did not disappoint. The work took three days (reasonable given the scope) and the team was very respectful and cognizant that my wife and toddler son were inside the house for most of the time. They arrived on the day and at the time they had indicated they would come. The windows were installed much faster than they had estimated.
