When I finally called to check the status, the owner told me they couldn't repair it. While I understand that not every repair is possible, I would have preferred to be informed sooner so I could retrieve my laptop. Later that same day, the owner called back and said they might be able to source a donor laptop to swap parts and asked for an additional two weeks. I agreed to give them more time. However, after the promised 2 weeks, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called again. The owner didn't have an update and asked me to call back the next day. When I did, the owner became upset, claiming he had told me to call back at noon, which he ABSOLUTELY had not. Why does it take a day just to check the status anyways? BTW I called at 11:50 am! Are you F ing kidding me you are upset for 10 minutues (which I was not even aware of) after a month of no response? His reaction was VERY unprofessional. He then calls me for the first time at 12:00 pm to tell me they still couldn't fix the laptop. I picked up my laptop and took it to an old friend who used to do repair work. Even though he's semi-retired and farther away, he diagnosed the issue correctly and had the laptop running again within three days.
