My car died on the freeway while I was driving the other day. I was waiting for a friend who was over an hour away!! A tow truck pulled over to see if I needed help. This has happened before and the driver was scummy and wanted insane money in order to help me out. This time this driver offered to help free of charge. He was polite and professional. He helped me get going and didn't even ask for money. I did tip him of course but it was worth it!! I will always call them in the future. read more

Recently I have unfortunately discovered a blip in the Oregon State laws regarding predator car towing. I would not be surprised if you folks have already been tipped off regarding this issue many times previously. Unlike Washington and California, Oregon does not have clear-cut state laws that prevent predator car towing. In some areas of the state such as City of Portland, though, steps have been taken to stymie these practices. However, in Washington County--including unincorporated Portland/Beaverton areas such as Cedar Mills--predator car towing has remained widely unregulated. Titan Towing now serves only in unregulated Washington County where low-income apartment dwellers serve as Titan Towing's "low-hanging fruit". Titan has been known to shift towing prices at will to match the expected payment capability of a particular car's owner. Many accounts of their illegitimate, immoral practices are exhibited in their poor google and Better Business Bureau reviews. Considering that traditional apartment complex parking policies generally only ask visitors to refrain from parking in under cover and garage-frontal spaces, this leads to many tows; especially when the tow companies are lurking in the shadows during the late hours of the night. They towed my car and when I called at 2:30 PM they told me I had to have an appointment to get my car and the only appointment available was 5:30 or 6 PM. Called my friend that works for another tow company told me Oregon law requires that a tow company has to meet tou within 30 minutes of your call, however they can also be 30 minutes late only if they notify you. When I called back and told Patrick this he. wanted to argue that the law was 1 hour. Also took my friend with me and when I asked for a business card he refused. When I asked to have the pictures they are required to take he told me no. When I asked for a copy of the tow agreement between him and the apartment complex he said he refused and said he would mail. They essentially troll for cars in apartment complexes to tow-We were parked outside our apartment loading it with bags for a trip and in the time it took us to go inside and come back out the vehicle was gone. Filing a report through Oregon Justice Department is in the happenings as my parking permit was posted in the rear window of my vehicle which was in a valid parking space as instructed through the leasing agent at LaSalle Apartments in Beaverton OR. Around 8:00pm on the evening of June 06, 2013 my car was towed by a driver for Titian Towing Inc. from the apartment property where I am a resident. My parking pass was in the car and was visible from the outside of the car. A neighbor informed me my car was about bout to be towed and I went out before the technician had finished hooking my car to the truck. After showing the technician my parking pass, he informed me that it would be $190 to drop my car (despite the fact that he had not lifted it yet) and continued to hook up my car. I was told by two separate neighbors, who witnessed the incident that this same thing has happened to both of them within the last few months. Both of them had visible parking permits in theirs cars. We are in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau, the Oregon Attorney General, and the state judicial department, as well as our personal Attorney. read more

My son went to visit a friend at an apartment in Beaverton area. He was told by the resident he could park in any spot not marked "Reserved". When he came out a Titan tow truck was hooking up his car. He told them to un-hook the car and he would move it. They told him only the registered owner could move the car and he continued to tow it. I called them and they gave me the same line that the State law requires the car can only be released to the owner. I know that's a lie. I went down to their office in Aloha at 9 PM and told the guy my son asked to move it prior to hook up and got the same line about State Law. I asked him what law? He said he didn't know but it was their "policy" anyway. I told him his policy was BS and the law says you have to release the car? They made me pay $325 before they would give me the car. 98.856 Conditions requiring release of vehicle; tower responsibility of disclosure to owner or operator of vehicle. (1) If the owner or operator of the motor vehicle is present at the time of the tow, the tower shall release the motor vehicle at no charge unless the hookup is complete. If the hookup is complete, the tower shall release the motor vehicle and may charge the owner or operator of the motor vehicle a fee that does not exceed the charge to hook up for that type of tow as listed in a written statement described in subsection (2)(a) of this section. read more

My girlfriend's car got wrongfully towed by Titan Towing this past weekend at the Wyndham apartment complex in Beaverton. I sent Wyndham a huge complaint email begging them to cut off business with them. Since I already typed out my story to them, I will just post it here: On the evening of Saturday, August 10th around 10:00pm, my girlfriend and I arrived at the Clocktower Apartment complex to visit her sister who resides there. We did our usual driving around her apartment to see if there were any visitor parking spaces, but like always, there weren't any. We drove up towards the back of Wyndham (behind the pool and such) and saw 10+ unmarked parking spaces. We parked in one that had no numbered overhang, yellow or red paint on the concrete, or ANY signs regarding the reservation of the spaces. Keep in mind that when we drove up towards the back of Wyndham in the dark, we had no idea that it was even Wyndham because the buildings look extremely similar, the sign that says "Wyndham ------ Leasing Office ---" was very small and not even seen, and the addresses of the building seemed to be the same. We thought that we were still in Clocktower and we thought that these were visitor parking spots. Within a half hour of arriving at my girlfriend's sister's apartment, I came back to our parking spot to get something out of the car. It was to our amazement that our car was towed. We tried to find any signs that stated what those parking spots were reserved for, but there were none to be seen. We found an "Unauthorized Parking" sign (almost completely covered by shrubs) on the divider that leads to the uphill parking in the back of Wyndham. We called Titan Towing and they stated that those parking spots were for Wyndham residents/visitors only, and that someone living in the apartments had called them to say that we were not Wyndham residents/visitors. My girlfriend unfortunately yet understandably started to fib to the tow person on the phone stating that we were going to both apartment complexes (not true, just Clocktower) and that we were rightfully in visitor parking. The tow officer was EXTREMELY rude during the whole interaction and told her that we would have to schedule an appointment to pick up the car the next day for $325. We had parked up there dozens of times (there are always 10+ available spaces) and nothing has ever happened. After our car got towed, we told our friends visiting at Clocktower to check to see if their car was still there. It was, but Titan Towing was towing ANOTHER car when they arrived. The next morning, we found a Wyndham resident, told him our story, and in a friendly manner called Titan Towing and tried to convince them that it was not our fault and that were in fact visiting him as well last night. This was not true, but we wanted to get out of this ridiculous situation by all means. The tow driver continued to reject all of our claims, and then told us that 1): he was sitting in the parking lot last night and followed us to see if we were coming back to the car/Wyndham when we were in fact going to Clocktower and 2): there was a camera on the apartments that he could see out of to make sure we weren't coming back. Both completely mixed up stories, both completely different than his story from the previous night, and both extremely CREEPY. Feeling very violated, my girlfriend burst into tears and hung up on the man. We took a cab to Titan Towing's office and tried to keep ourselves from bursting out. The fee came to $350 (not $325 as stated the night before) and for some reason, there was a $50 discount on the bill, which means the ticket would've been for $400 for them having the car for 15 hours!! After receiving the car, my girlfriend told the receptionist (who was taking care of all the business with us) that her and her company were extremely rude to us and that we felt violated that they followed us/waited a while for our return to Wyndham. She claimed that the tow man never stated that on the phone and to cut the bullshit and shut the door on my girlfriend. This whole incident completely ruined our weekend and put us out of a LOT of money. (There is more to the complaint email but I'm out of characters to type.) Also, the whole thing would've been fixed if Wyndham put up some fucking signs labeling the parking spaces. I own a tow company in the Tigard,Tualatin,Sherwood area. Our company went to an accident the Titan Towing caused a few months ago on Beef Bend Rd. Their driver went left of center with a vehicle that he was towing. Long story short they did not have the proper insurance and the driver of the truck had a suspended license leaving the other persons uninsured motorist insurance having to take car of the accident. This company really puts black eye on the towing industry. read more

I have read all the reviews here already and I have nothing different to say about this business in general........they are just scamming people and making as much money as they can. But I want to talk about the person I had to deal with. Everything he said and did was very provocative. I don't know what his name is, but I hope he brings his bony ass to this website and reads this. He needs to know how made me feel. I live at Rock Creek 185 and this towing company is about 6 miles away. The guy working on that night probably waited in the dark, like a predator looking for a prey, and towed my car quickly (in about 10 min) around 10:00PM. He left no signs or notes in the spot. I had to call 3 emergency numbers to realize that this loser took it. When I contacted him to pick up my car, he pretended to be 'very busy' and gave me a bunch of BS. He was rude, not unwittingly, but intentionally. Not only was he rude, but he also talked as if his time was 'so valuable', perhaps because he could have preyed on others in that time, that if I couldn't arrive on time for my appointment to pick up my car, he would have to charge 50 more. And when I reached his office around 10:50PM, he was still on his way. He arrived 5 minutes later, sat in his truck talking over the phone for 5 more minutes while I was waiting out there in the cold. He then got out and opened that so called office. The moment I stepped in, I saw a laminated certificate saying that he was the world's greatest boss or something like that. His shirt has probably not seen a washer in several months. I paid 280 (only cash or debit accepted at this stupid business). If I were not the resident of the property, it would have been 330. I met one more person who also went through a very similar experience 7 months ago at Nexus apartments (which is also about 6 miles away from this place) and they also paid around 350. I think these people are not just careless or casual, they are intentionally rude. They know that they are leeching people and instead of being professional and objective, they are mistreating people. I cannot do anything because he was 'legally right'. But after seeing this behavior, I hope these people brush someone, much worse than them, in the wrong way and get screwed really bad. They seem to think that they can treat people anyway they like. And why the hell do I even have to give a 1 star for this business. As trivial as it is, it's still a waste of a click. Accidentally parked in a handicap spot, and got my car towed. Totally my fault, should have paid more attention to where I was parking, however this place is a sketchy company. Called the number they have listed multiple times with no answer. Finally found a number online someone else recommended calling when they couldn't get ahold of them either. Called the number and a woman answered. She had tv playing really loud in the background, it sounded like she was sitting at her house. Asked when I could get my car and she said 3 hours. I asked why so long, and she paused for a while. Finally answered "Ummmm, we have other appointments of people picking up their car." It literally takes 5 minutes to go inside and get your car, so there were no appointments. She was just sitting at her house and didn't want to go to work. After 3 hours I went to pick it up. Knocked on the door, and no answer. Knock multiple times and stand outside for 10 minutes. Finally call the number again and a man answered. Told him I was waiting outside to get my car and no one was answering the door. Said the guy working must be in the bathroom, he'll get to the door eventually.... finally got my car. It was $350!! That's insane! They had my car no more than 6 hours and it's $350! The guy there was rude to. Obviously you can't help getting your car towed, but if you ever need your car towed or need help getting in it avoid this company at all costs. They are scum bags in a shitty area. This company trolls apartment complexes and preys on people that don't have money. I parked tandem behind my sisters car because there was not a single guest parking spot available in the entire complex (yes, we drove around). We weren't blocking anything or anyone. There also weren't any signs. He came by at 9 pm and towed my car and I had to pay $300 to get it 45 minutes later. When I was understandably pissed he told my sister that she couldn't pay for the tow - I would have to do it because he didn't like the way I spoke with him. Horrible company with no ethics! I had my car parked at my apartments in my normal space. Due to the heat the rear view mirror came off my window along with my parking pass. This company towed my car even though I have been a resident for 2 years at this place and they certainly know my car. I see them multiple times nighty when walking my dogs. They told my I should be more careful (as if I have physic powers and would know my mirror fell) they did nothing to help me and charged me $250 to get my car back. Also told me when I explained the situation that I would be charged an extra $50 if I called the place again to try to fix the situation without paying up. My vehicle was towed, and when I first called, the guy told me $350 to get my car back. When I called next morning, he said $390. When I reminded him of the earlier call, he hesitated and then made up some BS saying $350 cash and $390 if paid by card. On reaching the place, I asked him for a legal 'Rate card' which shows how much he is legally allowed to charge me. Guess what...he doesn't have one. And, he boasts that he doesn't even need one...he can charge you anything as per his whims and fancy! He tells me to my face, he can charge me a $1000 to get my car back. And in all this, not to mention the horrendous behavior and utmost rudeness of this sick person. I am going to read up about the law and file a consumer complaint and even a court case if necessary. Absolute crooks. I parked in a space I believed was available. Within ten minutes they had taken my car and charged me $250 to get it back. I was in a complex helping some family move in, and had parked several buildings away, as it was the only spot available. Upon review there is some paint on the spot that is almost faded away completely that read it was reserved, despite all other spaces in the area having fresh bright white paint on them. They told me somebody had called them in to tow it, which is an obvious lie since NO company has that kind of turnaround speed, (towed within 10 minutes of parking, remember). I spoke to many residents in the community, they all confirmed the company "skulks around all the time" hoping to vulture somebody's car to screw people out of their money. When I called and tried to speak to the manager about the situation, she told me they "followed all state laws and I shouldn't act like a criminal" and then hung up. When I called back, it went to their answering machine. I can't believe how unprofessional this company is, and want to warn anyone and everyone about having any business with them ever, if you can help it. read more

First off I want to start off by saying this rating is strictly based off the staff's unprofessional attitude and response to information I was gathering regarding my tow. The bigger issue to how I came across Titan is the terrible parking and vehicle monitoring at my apartment complex, but that another post. I parked on private property in which I am a residence at, in front of my garage that i pay for monthly, not impeding on any thoroughfare or access and there is no signage in regards to parking in that area. I took a risk parking in front of my own garage unit rather than knowing i would receive a parking ticket if i chose to park on the road. went to move my car int he morning and it was gone, called scheduled an appointment, paid and picked up my vehicle. That whole process was pretty easy. Later in the day while I was working with the property manger for reimbursement I called and spoke to Patrick (who wouldn't reveal his last name but claimed to be the owner) trying to get some details on the tow. I literally only got one response which was yes we towed your vehicle. I explained what i was looking for and he said "to be honest i'm not a fan of you and if i had to chose i wouldn't be on your side if it came down to it." I leveled with the guy but it didn't seem to make a difference and the only answer i was looking for was if the tow was random or if it was called in. I also wanted to know if he has a copy of the complex's leasing agreement regarding parking and if he could show me where the no parking signs were and why i was towed. Patrick had a call on the other line and never returned. No i wont be parking there anymore, yes i did get reimbursed from the complex and I now know that there are a group of unprofessional, ignorant people running Titan towing. read more
