This is the absolute worst business I've ever worked with. The person I worked with, Bob, consistently over multiple weekends lied to me about coming out to perform the tow. He would answer my call the day of, assure me he'd show up, and then ghost me. I cannot overstate how hard I tried to work with this company. After literal months of trying to get them to come out they raised the price from 200 to 658. The man on the phone told "I could try to find a cheaper price". 658 is more than a CROSS COUNTRY towing place quoted me. They had recommended I find a local tower because they would be overkill. The minute I began asking questions that he didn't like about the fees they were charging my friend, he told me to "get the fuck out of the office before I call the cops". He refused to let me speak with someone else or speak with the owner Rick. I called to try and leave a voicemail and picked up the phone and hung up on me. This guy is vial and if you get easily offended by someone asking questions about the fees the business charges, this should be that upsetting where you feel the need to cuss at clients. I have NEVER left a negative review for a business in my life. I find that most of them are unwarranted and petty. But I will make an exception for Pro Tow (or Guardian Towing, which is the business name listed on the payment receipt). We had our car towed out of an EMPTY parking lot within 20 minutes of it being parked. We had stopped to quickly grab food from the nearby carts, knowing that we would be in and out quickly, and figured, there is no way the car will get towed that quickly, and we are not blocking anyone in or misusing a parking lot during busy hours. Boy were we wrong. The car was towed within those 20 minutes. We then had to take an Uber to the towing lot, then had to walk 20 minutes to get cash out of an ATM (of course they don't take credit cards), then take ANOTHER Uber across town to get our car title documents, then drove back and waited for 30 minutes as the person managing the lot was driving around, patrolling lots and towing people's cars. I know the response the business will give to this review - You parked your car in a lot marked with towing. I agree in principle, but towing is for people who WILLFULLY ABUSE parking lots and leave their cars for HOURS on end. Our car was in the lot for TWENTY MINUTES before it got towed. I was lucky enough to have $460 in disposable cash that night and yeah, it sucks and it throws my budget off but it won't financially derail me. But how many other people do not have the luxury to withdraw $460? Maybe that $460 was going towards their rent that they now can no longer pay and have to take on debt or borrow from friends and family to pay this egregious towing fee? Yes, I am sure this towing business is BARELY operating within legal confines, but their practices are HIGHLY PREDATORY, exploitative and frankly, unconscionable. I cannot imagine how many hard working, honest people they have put in impossible financial binds with their predatory towing practices. To the owner of this business - If you have any conscience, integrity, or moral compass, I hope you reconsider how you approach running your business. You may very well be ruining people's lives. My Tesla Model 3 broke down due to the faulty 12 volt battery or some other issue but since it is out of its comprehensive warranty they would not set up towing. I called ProTow and someone picked up quickly and sent out a truck with an eta of 20 min. 20min later and the truck arrived. I had was pulled away to handle another issue, and the truck waited. Once I got to the car, the driver at ProTow was able to jump the car so I could unplug the charging cable. The driver quickly put the rear wheels on dollies and we were on our way to the Tesla service center. The driver walked me to the Tesla service counter and made the perfect handoff. When I called ProTow to arrange for them to tow my vehicle to a body shop, I was pleased to find out that a driver would be notifying me as soon as possible. It turned out that the driver, Sean, called me within 15 minutes to let me know that he was leaving for the location, of my vehicle, and would be there in 25 minutes. I was excited to hear how quickly Sean would be there, but I was at least 30 minutes from my vehicle. By the time I arrived, Sean had just finished putting the vehicle on the tow truck. He was able to arrive at the location earlier than expected. I appreciate Sean's professional and diligent commitment to accomplish a service so quickly and efficiently. Thank you, Sean! Pro Tow is contracted to tow illegally parked vehicles from our complex. Management specifically told us that to make a call we needed to print up our lease, have ID ready to prove we had control of the spot, then call them ourselves. Call Pro Tow, and was told that we would get a call when the driver was near, in about 40 minutes. Waited 1.5 hours, then called back. Was told they showed up, didn't see a problem, thought it would be really hard to remove the motorcycle, so just didn't bother to call us and left. Bob was the rudest person I've spoken to this year. I am a 61 year old disabled veteran. My wife is in a wheelchair. The motorcycle is clearly blocking wheelchair access to the car, and the spot is signed and painted as a handicapped parking place. I rent the space. So, some mouth breather wants a free parking space at my expense, and Bob here doesn't see a problem? Obviously, my experience shows that calling Pro Tow is a great way to be ignored, then disrespected if they think it's too hard to call you if they are confused. read more

The car had been towed 1.1 miles to their lot. The national average for a tow is $105. This is a predatory business and we will report this to Oregon DOJ / AG on Monday. Due to a communication breakdown, the first shop wasn't ready to take my payment and release my car when the Pro Tow truck arrived. Pro Tow driver Alan was friendly, patient and understanding of the situation. He didn't complain about having to hang out and wait for my car to be ready. (And it was a hot day! Not that comfortable for him to just be waiting!). Once the shop released my car, Alan was quick and proficient. He got my car to the second shop and texted me to let me know it was there. I'm very disappointed in this company. Over two years agoMy son was involved in an auto accident in which his car was totaled. There was a very nice lady there named Shannon who was helping us since we are not from Oregon. The paperwork they needed, title, was in the glove box and this was perfectly understood by pro towing. Now it's been two or three years since that happened and they put a lien on my son. They took several hundred dollars out of his bank account. Not only did they get a vehicle that they could sell at auction but they also stole money from my son. I understand the owner of this company's name is Gregg. Gregg has not once tried to return my phone calls. It is my understanding that Gregg is a rip off artist with no moral code of conduct. A call for tow at 8:30am, towed to shop at 12:15pm (an hr and 40 mins after it was supposed to be at the shop), 3 hrs and over $300 later hubby is finally on his way home. Would have been under $200 had the shop not had to cancel appointments because the tow company was late. Tow company says different than our roadside assistance (road side assistance said pro tow told them 120 mins which is 2 hours, pro tow claims they told them 3 hours min.) and was so rude. I was bogged in the mud, trying to reach a homebound patient in rural Clackamas County. Add to that I was driving my Tesla S, which requires a knowledgeable tow truck driver in terms of how to safely move the car. When Gilbert found me, I was fender deep in muck with a large rock sitting behind my rear fender. He was able to safely finesse my car around the rock and back up to stable ground.
