There was no real effort to make new students feel comfortable or included. The only people who actually took the time to help me were a male blue belt (in his 20s), and a female purple belt (in her teens) and they were both genuinely kind and helpful. They honestly made up for the lack of support from the coaches. Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not a gym I'd return to.

One of my favorite things is recently they turned the old pool area in to an outdoor fitness area. It has turf, 10 squat racks, and a fitness rack with pull up bars, premium kettlebells, and weighted slam balls. I wish they didn't take out the sauna and steam room as those are some of my favorite wellness amenities for a gym. The gym does tend to get busy later in the day and machines will fill up, but you can still get a great workout in. Next time I plan to try out one of the many fitness classes that they offer.

From initially inquiring about personal training, Coach Taz was professional and prompt to respond and called me to review my goals and to see what would be a good fit for me and my boyfriend. He recommended the 3x/week hourly sessions with him as well as nutritional education. One of the good things about Gifted N Fitted was the fact that I could go on a payment plan; something that 24 hour fitness was unable to offer me in the past. The price is very reasonable, especially when comparing to other personal trainers at big gyms; the payment plan definitely helped me get started with my weight loss journey while not breaking my wallet! During the workouts, Coach Taz explains each exercise and is so encouraging throughout, even when I may feel like giving up, he's right there saying "10 more seconds! You can do it! You can do anything in 10 seconds" and lots more encouragement that really pushes you. He offers you to use his equipment to stretch after the workout and is never in a rush to answer questions. He also taught us and makes sure that we stretch properly before every workout too. We use the Band App where we communicate, which he also will send us reminders or our times for certain goals we've completed. After our first two months is up, we plan on adding on another month because we're seeing results and don't want to stop! Coach Taz is definitely someone we will be keeping in touch with throughout our fitness journey as he's given us this opportunity and push that we needed to get started. He's flexible with scheduling so was able to meet our needs to when we can workout. I could keep going on and on but he is definitely someone I recommend 100%. I use the fitness room and I like the selection of machines and that the machines are consistently being cleaned. In Jan. 2026, I decided I had time to do it again so signed up again. By April 2026, I hadn't set foot into the facility. Zero classes (don't do virtual), never went to the facility. Tried to clear my schedule to see if I could attend, but obstacles kept cropping up so decided I'd quit. I looked on the web and it said email them to let them know that I wanted to cancel. I did that. Not once, but twice. I received a response (obviously a system generated response) saying thank you for the email, may take a few, but we will get back to you. I emailed again (second time) hoping for a response. Guess what - finally get a response! Your account is closed, thank you for being a member, Yasuda-yadda-yadda. All good, right? NOPE, the Y strategically closes the account the same day payment is due. So my membership is closed on the same due I'm hit with a payment. Shady AF - again, never stepped into the facility since I joined in January this time, but yet I'm charged even if I requested to close out nine days prior? It's not a big amount, but I'm closing the charge card to migrate to new Atmos card - it's the principal of the matter. Never doing another membership with the YMCA and no more donations to them either. Done. Pau. Do better because right now, my perspective of the YMCA is very negative.

The owner was extremely pleasent and the environment in general was so welcoming and calm. I wish I lived closer so that I could be an actual memeber here and if my location ever changes, I'd be back in a heart beat. I've just about tried it all! What brought me in to try the day pass at GyFitness was (1) the dozens of machine options compared to smaller gyms (2) locally owned small business (3) hours are longer than other boutique gyms, and (4) location. I chose to do a month to month membership for $85/month plus tax. I'm happy I did because I ended up needing to cancel due to two bad back injuries and a tear in my knee (not related to working out!). This month to month allowed me to cancel vs. on a long term contract, but the owner Rose and her specialist walked me through the process with grace The crowd is a mix of local, some military, and age range mostly college age up to 50s for the most part. People keep to themselves but the local vibe made me feel comfortable and less judged compared to other gyms, especially after weight gain. There are multiples of most machines, and enough stair masters and treadmills to go around! Office staff was consistently kind and helpful, you can tell the owners are involved on the daily based on the service the staff offers. Bathrooms on the smaller side but clean, and bring your own lock for a locker. The 24 hour option at GyFitness isn't much more expensive than the limited hour option for those who prefer a more empty gym or work early/late. Parking can get busy at peak hours, but you're right next to Costco and two small restaurant centers so the most you'll walk is a minute or two from your car if you don't want to wait for a spot. It's a nice gym if you work Mililani/Ewa/Schofield but live in town, pull over to this gym right off the H2 and get a work out in until traffic dies down. 5 stars!

They are looking at leaving as well. In fact, my husband went to talk to someone at the desk about a refund since he got an annual membership because that's how he excited he was about the basketball court, and the staff said yesterday everybody is upset and there are so many people that use that basketball court like even she's confused. This is the only 24 hour fitness on the island with an indoor basketball court. In fact, indoor courts are really hard to find on the island. Especially this night with air conditioning. It boggles my mind that leadership doesn't understand how big-time basketball is on this island. This basketball court is always full generally of people playing basketball, but also people working out. On an island full of outdoor grass with beautiful weather with plenty of access to grass, you're gonna close the basketball court? I guess they're ready to lose a lot of members, and lose future members. It's a sad day for Oahu.

When CP Mililani, opened, it was a no-brainer that I would join, since this location is very near to my home. I love how dedicated and friendly the CP Mililani staff is, and I constantly receive really interesting and useful emails that have helped guide my pilates journey. The club offers a complimentary intro class which I highly recommend, and once you join, the instructors will guide you each step of the way. The workouts are always varied, and this keeps your workout interesting and fun. I am a forever fan, and couldn't recommend it enough.
