I am really loving it so far!…read more Location: In the shopping center of Academy sports/viva chicken. Parking:Plenty! Even on busy hours The workout: It is a kickboxing/cardio/functional training infusion! I feel like what they advertise is exactly what you get! When class starts the lights go out and music goes up. Besides the great coaches that is what keeps drawing me back. I will be honest this is the hardest workout I have done in my life but it is so much fun that just when I feel like stopping a good tune is on or the coach/fellow classmate gives some encouragement. They have a calendar that shows what the focus is for that day upper,core,full-body etc. so you can get an idea of what you need to warm up and mentally prepare for. Coaches/customer service: I have primarily dealt with Victoria for membership and Marquis a couple of times as well. Both are very positive and upfront about costs/membership and always greet me with a smile! The coaches just don't get better than this. Coach K (Kiara) is absolute top notch and who I've been working out with the most, She is the perfect blend of energy, kindness, and knowledge. I've tried Coach Willie and Mallory once and really look forward to my schedule allowing me to do more with them in the near future. I got to meet Coach Kenzie and she is so positive I can't wait to try one of her classes! Overall: I'm still sort of new and will update as I continue but so far this has helped me change my life in such a good way. The workouts are intense but super fun and I've always been surrounded by encouraging staff and classmates! Tip:Good for all level of fitness beginner-advanced

Dear Reader, Before we get into this review it is vital for…read moreyou to understand that my view on exercise is, I'll do it but I'm going to complain the whole time. I will still give the occasional dirty look when someone tells me to do a burpee but for the most part I love coming to the Rock Box. I NEVER thought I would say that about a gym. I've been a member here for over a year which is probably the longest stint I have given any gym. I know previous reviews have stated the cost is a bit high, but I think it's worth it. The trainers really take the time to recognize everyone in the class and make an effort to recognize you during class. I have to tell you the main reason I signed up after my initial free trial class is the head trainer Coach K. She has a lot of energy and a lot of motivational quotes. During my first class, she said "This work out isn't killing you, you killing it." And that really turned around my "Everything hurts and I'm dying" outlook at the gym. If your first experience at the RockBox is with Coach Kiara, you are in for a really great time. When you come to your first class you will get an overview of the key boxing moves needed for the glass and then it off to the races. If you have to go slow, don't worry no one is gonna be up in your face telling you to move faster. Half of the class will be punching things and then you move to the "functionals" which is a bit of weight lifting and strength training, again you go at your pace, if you need a break take a break. I already gave a shout out to Kiara, but this place is full of amazing trainers. Coach Willie has a sixth sense to know when you are going to need a modification and comes right to you to help you figure it out. Do you have some rage from being denied Eras Tour tickets that you need to punch out? Your fellow Swiftie Coach QT has the combo for you. (Full disclosure if you actually got to see the Eras tour she might make you do a burpee.) I can't make it to every class to see every trainer but just know they all bring the same fun energy with their own unique flavors. Also, if you are millennial that wants to hear your favorite jams from high school somewhere other than the grocery store, RockBox has you covered.

After a few bone breaks, my doctor recommended strengthening the muscle that protects the bone to prevent further damage. To make the process more efficient, he also recommended that I find a trainer who could review my needs, take into account my limitations and develop a program for someone my age that would achieve the desired results. I researched various gyms in the area - most provide the 'do it yourself' approach. When I found Sage Strength and checked out the reviews, I completed their online form and a discussion was scheduled. They heard me out, considered my situation and developed a program that did not use machinery but rather relied on my own body weight plus, dumbbells, kettlebells and resistance bands. It works. While the workouts are challenging (as they should be), taking the necessary recovery time between sessions really works. I can feel myself getting stronger and more confident. The Sage Strength team of trainers and coaches never disappoints. Each member is extremely professional and knowledgeable - quick to point out a correction in approach or, to offer an alternative if my limitations mandate it. They are kind, respective, encouraging and willing to help in your quest. For honest, solid, real-world training, Sage Strength is the place to go. I highly recommend them.

But my experience was after signing up for a free class someone contacts me via text. They are asking some questions just general and seeing if I had questions so seemed off to a decent start. When I arrive for the class. They immediately wanted my id and some fitness background information as I went to wrap and put on my gloves they said I couldn't wear my own gloves. I had to wear 9round gloves. So I get told that they would do a loaner pair today for me to take the class and then when we were done if I signed up they would "give me my own with my sign up" the way this was worded was exactly like that. . Well there is not any type of stretch we just jump onto the first station as you guessed there are 9. It's just flowing through each station hiit style. I much prefer bag and partner work. Anyway at station 8 my legs were cramping and I was told I could stretch after .. After it was immediately time to try to sign me up on the spot not stretch. First of all the gloves that I was told I'd be "given" w my sign up actually cost $150- but $75 if I signed up right then and there. The overall pricing is high and it's not really worth the money imo. Following the class I got a text from the original girl who I had been communicating with and was there at the time of my class which was fine. Following that I got a text from someone else who works there who wasn't there telling me how great I did etc.. (weird) and then after that another msg using someone's " ring name" It's an overpriced cardio class for people who want to box but not really. It's not form/skill oriented but if you're solely looking to switch it up and drop some weight it would probably be okay for you.

I don't know about anyone else but I hate going to a gym or workout class for the first time. You…read moredon't know where to put your stuff, what the vibe is like, and sometimes I feel like a lost puppy. I wanted to try out Kraze Fitness because it is locally owned and well I would rather have them get my money every month and cycle it back through the community than some of the bigger guys. They have a free two week trial or you can just head in and try a class for free on the spot no problem at all. I worked with Jasmine who gave me a tour and encouraged me to try out a class. Once I did, I immediately signed up afterwards. The instructor of the class (Reggie) was great at explaining everything to me as to how the class would work and showing me each of the moves for that session. The class was small so everyone got personalized attention. Which is something I am a big fan! Jasmine let me know that the most popular class is kick boxing but even that usually maxes out with 15 people. You don't have to worry about signing up online or reserving a spot because well they always have a spot open for you. To me there is nothing worse than wanting to go to a class but then finding out it is full. The interior isn't the fanciest place but from what I could see they really have every weight machine you could want, as well as plenty of treadmills, and other cardio machines. They do standard classes like yoga, Zumba, and kick boxing. But also offer things like kettle bells, a toned down version of a Crossfit class, and some type of class that is based off of how MMA fighters warm up (will have to give that one a try). AND they also offer legit Crossfit classes as well. For the price you truly cannot beat this place! If you are in the market for a gym or looking to take some interesting fitness classes give this place a try. With the free two week trial (which includes all the classes) you really have nothing to lose!

For 34$ a month, thats bs. Really disappointed in the change. They put a few squat racks 3 feet away from some bench presses and then put a bunch of assisted machines right next to the front desk. Who thought that was a good idea? They have space to make it good but they chose to do bjj and weightlifting still when there is no room for both in this tiny spot. So half of the gym is this cramped section and half of it is this giant mat that will only be used when there are classes. No water fountain, you can barely hear music. At the old place they played movies and had music booming. Go anywhere else.
