Given that, we agreed to a deposit of $250 for him to go ahead with a formal quote, per company policy. When the proposal came back, it was $45K, which is more than double what we had discussed. While I understand that quality work and materials are costly, I don't understand how his verbal estimates were so grossly inaccurate, especially when he said he's been working there for 18 years. While I understand the deposit was intended to cover his time in gathering the estimates, and that he "doesn't work for free," a large part of his job is properly estimating potential costs for potential clients, and he did not do that. We agreed to the $250 deposit based on incredibly inaccurate numbers, and when I requested our deposit back, we were denied (twice.) While I don't think it was his intention to be deceptive, we felt swindled out of $250. I was very disappointed that they weren't willing to refund us.

I hired Al to lay our ceramic floor. He did a lousy job and added charges that were bogus. He…read morequoted $2579 with $1000 being to remove the old floor. We removed the old floor ourself to save money. He padded the bill and charged us $2630, more than his original quote and we took out the old floor. He came and layef the floor and after the fact raised the price per square foot. Here is what he did: He charged us for 274 square feet, he layec 195 12x12 tiles. I only bought 240 and there were 45 left so I have no idea where he came up with 274. He changed the amount from $5 a square foot to $7 a square foot after the work was done. He said there was a pattern, there was no pattern. The tiles had different shades but not a pattern. Even another installer said this. He padded the bill in every area. He did a terrible job with the grout causing sharp edges in many areas and making it impossible to walk on it barefoot. He charged us more for supplies than the receipts showed. He did not put an underlayment down under the floor and after only three weeks the grout is cracking! He also has areas of the floor where the tiles are not spaced correctly. Overall he did a lousy job laying the floor and Overcharged us by over $1000. DO NOT HIRE HIM.

They listened to what our needs were and before they started they looked over the work areas and took the time to find the best costs for the materials needed for the job and gave a reasonable quote. They were clean and organized while working on the projects. And one thing that we greatly appreciated is after starting, they talked with us to see if everything was okay and looking like our expectations. After they were finished they cleaned their work areas extremely well. I would hire and work with them again for future projects. Thank you for doing such good work. The bottom edge of one backsplash was cut crooked, and the caulking was messy--uneven, poorly applied, and visually distracting. I've already removed and redone the caulk on the makeup counter. I contacted the company about the issue, and they did come out to inspect it. They acknowledged the problem and said they would follow up. That was over two months ago. Since then, I've reached out multiple times--by phone and email--and have received no response. No update, no repair, no accountability. For a project that should have added value and beauty to my home, I'm left with a flawed installation and zero customer service. I expected better craftsmanship and professionalism. At this point, I wouldn't recommend this company to others.

Phil went out of his way to resolve this problem, which saved us the stress of either doing it ourselves or finding another lot. He gave us some great ideas that saved us money without sacrificing quality. The workmanship of Phil and subcontractors were super. They were easy to communicate with and very courteous. Our home was completed on time as scheduled. Really impressed when we saw the completed job. Upon finishing the job our house was ready to move in. No litter left behind.

Multiple doors and drawer fronts were manufactured in the wrong sizes and need replacement. Four additional doors were finished incorrectly. To make matters worse, the hardware holes throughout the project were drilled crooked, causing doors and drawers to be visibly misaligned. The installers were friendly, but friendliness does not make up for poor workmanship, lack of quality control, and inadequate follow-through on warranty and service issues. Had I seen a review describing these kinds of problems before hiring this company, I would have looked elsewhere. In my experience, the biggest issue appears to be the new ownership and the decline in quality and customer service that has followed.
