UPDATE: After multiple times ordering with Tito's over the past several years, i believe that the order system has diminished in quality. There were some times that the kitchen fumbled my order (e.g. forgot to put the beans in my bean burrito (benne burrito)). How much you get in the big bag of chips also seems to vary, I guess depending on who's managing that day. One night, the amount I received was about half of a brown bag, compared to the full bag that we normally get. And after a few more times ordering from Titos in Summit and this happening repeatedly, we probably will not be ordering again anytime soon -- Last week they forgot the beans in my wife's Chop Shop salad (We asked to add them). I'm not sure if it's because we order online, but unfortunately this seems to happen too often. read more

When ordering online there are no substitutes When ordering online there was no way to order a bean, rice and cheese burrito which is disappointing. Also, the tortilla on the burrito was not warmed or grilled so it didn't get that slightly crispy deliciousness that true Baja California burritos have. The tortilla was just gummy. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the tacos here. I had the pulled pork and the fish tacos in soft shell. There is the option for hard shell which is something you don't find now-a-days. The pork was tender and flavored well. I also liked the fried fish. Tacos are topped with shredded lettuce, tomato, and comes with side of tortilla chips. Guacamole was a nice addition. Very good, if a little basic, Tex-Mex food. Bowls and burritos are pretty standard to what you'd find at any Mexican fast takeout place, but they do them very well. They do offer wings unlike other Mexican places which is nice, and their wings don't disappoint in flavor. They have 10 different heat level options ranging from sweet to Buffalo Wild Wings' Blazing Sauce levels of hot. The wings are however pretty small and not cheap either. It's pickup only right now because of Covid and ordering online or in any other way in advance is much preferable to ordering in store. It's a very popular spot so there's always a long backlog of online orders and you'll be waiting around for a while if you order in person. Absolutely nothing to rave about tonight. The service provided today was unacceptable. My order stated it was ready at 6:15pm and I received my order by 9:40pm. There was a large crowd waiting outside. The cops came by several times and the employees were consistently lying to the customers of when the orders would be ready. There must have been over 50 people or more waiting outside and the employees had no control of the crowd. So I stumbled upon this place on my first couple of days in the Summit area because my friend recommended it to me. Parking was a bit difficult but I figured it out. Customer service was okay especially after lunch hours they must have been tired. I ordered a chicken burrito with chips on the side. Honestly, the flavor was there but it was missing something. I'm not sure if I would order that again, I realized they're known for their extra large quesadillas which I want to try so hopefully I'll be back for that. Used to love this restaurant. I think in the past two years the quality has gone down. Got Chicken Strips with the second spiciest sauce(Super gnarly). The Sauce is supposed to be an super amped up version of buffalo sauce. While I'll say it was spicier than your standard buffalo sauce, it really wasn't very spicy. It did however, taste overwhelmingly of vinegar, like much more so than your standard buffalo. If you could adjust the ratio of spice/vinegar, it would've been really great. read more

This is a hidden spot in the heart of summit town center. Parking is readily available in the street or garage. The interior design is up to par with the theme of the store. Unfortunately, what makes a restaurant appealing is not the exterior but the interior /heart of the store.. My recent visit has definitely made me think twice about ever coming back again. I have mixed feelings about this place. First of all, I would hesitate to call this "tex-mex", when there's a slight lack of seasoning or heat/spice happening in the cuisine. It's more like California gringo surfer dude food. Maybe I just have high expectations being from the Southwest and loving spicy food. The ambiance was casual and fun, and I felt the happy California vibe that the decor presents. The bean and rice burrito I ate was a little dry and bland... so I added a ton of salsa verde to make it taste better. The chicken tenders were juicy with a crispy batter, but they were lacking salt. I dipped them in Cholula hot sauce. The queso dip had pico de gallo but there was no spice. The salsas from the salsa bar were fresh and delicious. We just poured salsa on everything and ate until our plates were clean. The chips were thin and crispy and perfectly salted. I hope the owners will take these comments constructively and improve the flavors. The quesadillas are unlike any I've ever had. Full of flavor and the size of a personal pan of pizza. They're assortment of tacos are also delicious, my favorite being their famous fish taco. Each purchase comes with a bag of homemade tortilla chips and the location has a salsa bar so each person can choose their own salsa fee of charge. I really like this place order all the time. However, I wanted to try the new wings "lively up yourself" which has a Caribbean flare with jerk sauce, not bad however it is extremely salty I couldn't finish the wings and I know they would be great but the salt killed it. Though Titos offers a lighter, more bland, and less spicy menu, they still have enjoyable food that makes me happy. For those who've grown up with and are looking for San Diego type of Mexican food, this is probably not your place. Others have said that they would rather go to chipotle, but I I find their food to be overwhelmingly salty. After eating their food, my mouth always feel so dry. Not to mention, their steak is always so tough to break down. With tito's food, you can always spice things up with their wide array of available hot sauces and fresh salsas at their self serving salsa bar. You can also add guac and sour cream. The salsa is so fresh and make the burritos so enjoyable. I love the green one the best. Also, the burritos come with fresh chips that are made fresh daily and have just the right amount of salt. Because they are made fresh, they do have some oil on them, but leave then in a brown bag for a few minutes and have the excess oil drained. I'm 7 months pregnant and I'm glad I have a Mexican restaurant nearby I can eat at without feeling guilty. They're super fast with take out orders and I've always been greeted with good service. I came here because I was at the paper source across the street and it seemed to get good reviews on Yelp. It did not disappoint! Service was fast and the staff there are pretty awesome! The crowd was a lot high schoolers coming in for a cheapish burrito which didn't surprise me considering how much food you get for your money. The chicken quesadilla we got had really juicy and flavorful chicken and was double the size of what we would normally get. I love that it came with a side of guac and sour cream without the extra fee. Wings were decent. I had the mellow and aloha and would want to try the hot wings next time. Both the chicken and beef empanadas were delicious. The pico de Gallo was pretty good. I saw one guy take 8 cups because he loved it that much. I underestimated how much food we were going to get. Its a necessary place in South Orange village - adding a Mexican style option to the few spots to grab some grub. Ive tired their tacos ( chicken and shrimp) and they are delicious and wet.. which is nice... their tacos are double wrapped in a crunchy and soft tortilla. This may be one of my favorite parts of this place... a taco is not always perfect with just the one.. it needs both a lil crunch and a lil soft to go with it. In addition to understanding the complexities of taco building.. Im in love with their salsa bar... mild, medium ,verde and spicy.. I really do enjoy this place. The food has always been very good. I've frequented this establishment about 4 times now and feel as if I can give an honest review. The quesadillas are very good and will not leave you hungry. The bang bang shrimp taco is by far my favorite taco that's offered. The only con I can literally admit is that the seating area is very limited. If this place had a patio, which by the location would not be feasible, it would be 5 stars. I want to say first, I love Tito's. It's one of my favorite restaurants to go to for fresh, wholesome and very good food. My first time going the service was great, the food was excellent and I was so excited to return. My second time, food was great but service was slow. Tonight was my third time and I was quite disappointed. We were one of two tables and the food took nearly 20 minutes to come out...which wouldn't be an issue if the food was fresh. The food was cold. Our chicken tenders were overcooked, chewy and cold. The burrito didn't have sour cream in it and the taco was so cold. I wish consistency was better here. Ok so Tito's and burritos has great food and staff but it doesn't stop there. The decor is like a beach setting and the prices are really good especially for the portion size. Now I'll say I got Gnarly wings and I recommend the spicier Gnarly sauce for those who like a kick but they were so good! Super crispy and tasty as heck! I have a love hate relationship with this place. The food is fantastic, but they mess up my order at least 50% of the time... that's not an exaggeration... both pre and during COVID... they are consistently inconsistent. And it's not just me - it's an ongoing joke with my neighbors who experience the same thing... Happened again this past weekend... I don't always call them out on it but when i do, (to their credit) they always make it right. I suppose it's just an annoyance, but when you've waited an hour for you're wings and they forget to include the sauce, profanities start to fly. It's come to the point where i have to think twice before ordering knowing that i'll likely be frustrated once the food arrives. I mainly stick to the tacos and wings - the gnarly sauce is the perfect wing sauce - the other flavored sauces are also great. I love the Lowboy taco... however my favorite was the "vote for Pedro" which was pork and pineapple, but that's no longer on the menu - has pork been removed from the menu entirely?? I miss going into the restaurant to get the salsas - don't really see anywhere where i can request them when i order, however they still send along freshly fried tortilla chips?? i suppose that would just be another potential mistake for them to make during the fulfillment process... I've ordered takeout here a few times and stopped in recently for lunch. The taco salad is quite tasty but the chopped salad was a bit meh. The burritos are a hit or miss. I had the mac-daddy which was delicious one time and just ok the second when the meat was a bit burned. Similarly, the hang five shrimp burrito had a lot of burned shrimps, which ruined the taste. Also I felt like it was lacking something in the seasoning to make it more tasty. I agree with the people saying Chipotle, especially the really good one in Springfield, has better burritos than here. The lady at the register was not the friendliest and she was kinda apathetic but the customer service wasn't as bad as some are saying here. I've had worse. read more

I am a new fan! The manager helped me pick out the best menu items for maximum flavor potential. He suggested mix and match tacos with not just hard or soft shells - BUT BOTH. I ordered a chicken taco, fish taco and empanadas. It's hard to find good emps, but these were DELICIOUS. They were filled with flavorful meat and cheese. The tacos were a good portion - I only finished half each in one sitting. The fish taco was actually so good - it had good crispy crunch and a lemony taste. I've come here often and have always had a great experience. The place is small, not good for large groups, but the food is always delicious. Staff is always happy and willing to help. Delicious grab-your-own salsa area, which may be skeevy for some due to people touching stuff with their dirty hands. May be more hygienic if they fill the containers up behind the counter, however if that stuff doesn't bother you or you're not a fan of salsa, there's no need to worry. Pro tip 1: If you're taking out, call in or order online in advance. The food appears made to order, so it takes some time for it to come out to you. Pro Tip 2: When you're picking up, go with a friend.
