However, not only were they so kind over the phone when I asked what they cooked their food in but when we went in they pulled out their entire allergy chart paired with all of their ingredients! Due to the Covid situation, we ordered for delivery.  When I gave the order by phone, I specifically asked for 4 containers of your delicious pico, one for each entree to go with the chips.  WE GOT NONE, NADA, ZIP, ZERO, NUTHIN. Tito's is awesome. I've been ordering from here for quite a while. I have always found the food and flavors to be excellent. Whether a burrito, taco, quesadilla, you name it they have all been excellent. What truly sets Tito's apart for me is the wings. Crispy and not breaded. I despise breaded wings. I like my food and in particular my wings to be thermo-nuclear. Many places call their wings hot but they don't actually make them that hot. Tito's hottest sauce rocked my world. First bite and I began to sweat, my nose started to run, then my tongue was sizzling, and then the spices and flavors came through and were not masked by the heat. I also tried the habanero honey glazed wings which were delicious and a sticky mess. They are on door dash but I went to pick up and the people there are super nice. More importantly they label your order so people can figure out what's theirs. Pet peeve of mine and they nailed it. Very casual place where you can sit down if dining in. Has a very chill surfer vibe. Love this place and I'll be killing mysledf with those wings again soon. read more

I would give the burritos I've had so far a 3.5 I had the garlic steak burrito which was pretty garlicy which I like. The Jamaican jerk chicken burrito has decent amount of background heat. Not too spicy. Both burritos were a bit on the dry side though but complimented nicely with the salsa they have. The burritos aren't amazing but they're pretty solid. Decently sized to satisfy you. Also tried the Maui wowee burrito which was a bit soggy with juice dripping. Not a fan. The meat or sauce was too sweet which kinda overpowered any other flavor. Expected more tanginess for pineapple flavor and some spice but there wasn't any. It also wasn't really warm/hot. The tortilla chips aren't bad. Nice and crisp. Kinda plain as there's no salt or anything on them but you have salsa for that. read more

Tito's is part of the reason I fought so hard to move to Summit over Millburn (although my girlfriend won and we ended up moving to Millburn...). It is a simple burrito place with a diverse amount of Tito Burritos as well as create your own burritos and more. These burritos are a cross of that fast food burrito (Qdoba, Chipolte, Moes, Currito, etc.) with a more authentic twist (you can tell the ingredients are better and they are crafted and put together better. The wings are absolutely amazing, their sauces are the right amount of flavor and heat and the prices are spot on considering the location. read more

I've been a big fan of Tito's for a long time but haven't been there since they expanded their menu. Their ingredients are all fresh and the guacamole is outstanding. The new menu is really exciting misses when it comes to quality. Stick to the burritos. They can't be beat. Their online ordering is very easy to use and saves a lot of time. It also tells you when your order will be ready for pickup. Parking there can be tedious during the week so now I can double park (don't tell anyone), jump out of the car, sign the receipt and run back to the car before I get a ticket. Delicious little spot, perfect for Tex-Mex take out. Small group stopped in for a quick bite and quickly found out there is not much space inside to dine in. It was pretty popular on that Tuesday that we stopped in on, but we lucked out that a small group was leaving as our food was ready, so we snagged the stools. Fish tacos were my favorite, but honestly, it's hard to go wrong with any choice as my group ordered a big chunk of the menu and enjoyed everything we ordered. Again, it lacked flavor even when adding the toppings bar to it., it still lacked creativity! What is with the plastic basket with wax paper in the bottom that they put ur burrito in? It is so messy. Once u put the salsa on ur burrito or next to it, the wax paper gets soggy and everything leaks thru. This is not a good idea to serve Mexican food in! Save ur money and head over to Chipotle it's organic and flavorful and made in front of u, or head to Moe's if u want fast food type Mexican. Remember flavor is key , not greasiness ! Just a few blocks away from the Summit NJT, it's a good option for dinner when it's too late to cook. For full menu, take a look at their menu online. Price is reasonable. It's BYOB. They also have quite interesting daily special and other Mexican food variety outside of burritos. I had the spicy calamari burrito and it was a one of the best burrito I had. It has yellow rice, the calamari is crispy and the spicy sauce (i guess sourcream+mayo). YUMMO! On drinks, if you bring your your tequilla, they can make your margarita for $2.50 or something like that. A steal! It's not a real sit down place. Probably has only 5 highboys (seating 2 each) and a bar seating area. Be prepared to either wait or take out. read more

I've eaten here twice and just can't bring myself to like it. Today I had 1 fish taco and 1 steak taco. The fish and steak were both very tasty so that was nice. Unfortunately the tacos come in a "double shell", a soft tortillas wrapped around a hard one. A hard corn tortilla has no business being in existence. Neither tortilla did anything to enhance the taste of the tacos. Pricewise.......AY CARAMBA!! I know it's Summit where money actually DOES grow on trees but $4.50 for a steak taco and $4.25 for a fish taco are a bit much. Riddle me this.....How can a place on the beach in expensive San Diego charge $2.95 for either a carne asada taco (with guacamole sauce) or fish taco (the size of my head) but a place in Summit charges $4.25 for a portion one third of the size and less tasty? Anyway, if the food was great and large I'd pay up but next time I'll just take my money out of my wallet and shred it and then eat that. With a vibrant and colorful California surfing, outdoorsy luau-esque theme all over inside, playing tunes like A Message To You Rudy, you think of young'uns, millennials or mid-age workers and fitness yoga instructors coming by to eat here for a healthy, hip and chill vibe. It's a place you're not surprised to find open in a nice town like Summit. Workers are young and probably college age. Nice and they bring the food to you when eating in. There is limited seating with a surfboard counter table against the wall and a few tables for 1-2 people. I got the MAUI WOWIE that has pineapple habanero pulled pork, rice, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo salsa. Arrived lukewarm. A bit disappointed with this one as I expected a stronger punch of flavor or surprise. Instead of tangy pineapple bits in my burrito, which I think would have made it more interesting, the pulled pork is sweet pineapple juice infused. Proportions were also a bit off along with an uneven application of ingredients. Lacked pico de gallo, lettuce and cheese and found mostly rice and only tasted the cheese once at the tail end of the burrito. Pulled pork juices leaked down the end and did not feel much heat while eating. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a terrible idea or burrito. Just disappointing. I would suggest getting a different burrito. I tried a bite of the JAMAICAN JERK CHICKEN and found I liked that one more, if a lil dry. The nacho chips that come with the burrito suffice. Would be great if spritzed with lime. PERK: Free self-serve salsa bar with mild pico de gallo salsa, salsa verde, medium and hot salsa, pickled veggies, and small cuts of lime. Can also refill your fountain soda drink when eating inside. TIP: When done eating, don't leave your baskets and garbage on the table, throw it out by the fountain drink machine and place your basket plate on top of a counter there. If I had to choose between Chipotle and here? On pure instinct, the first all the way. Both are $8-something with Tito's costing just a little bit more. Found everything--including the salsas--lacked an essential something, that refreshing punch and interplay of flavor and texture. Like a great idea that wasn't executed well because it ran ahead of first perfecting the smaller, foundational components. Some effort and a few tweakings and considerations would do wonders to make this worthy competition. I have yet to try their other burritos and offerings like wings and nachos so I'll be back. One of the better burrito/mexican places in the area. I had the "off the hook" fish burrito which was very very good. The whitefish was super tender, fresh, and just tasted very clean. None of that fishy smell you sometimes get with fish tacos/burritos/etc. Their salsa bar is great too. Also tried the wings which were very tasty but could have been spicier. I'll have to get the hottest sauce next time. I think most items are less than $10 but your total can be over $10 when you add on a drink/guac/etc. Overall, very good. Definitely will return. I am shocked that there's a decent Mexican place in this area. But wow. A friend was picking up take out from here a week or so ago before Lost and a couple of different burritos were recommended to me. But I saw nachos on the menu and immediately wanted nachos. When i want nachos, stay out of my way. "Dude, don't get the nachos take out. They'll come back all soggy and taste like crap." BUT I WANT NACHOS My suggestion was to ask the guy if they could put the chips in one container and all the stuff they put on the chips in another and I'll just scoop it out. They said they'd take care of us. I got even better than I expected. My order had a container with TONS of chips and then separate containers of chicken, black beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, spicy salsa and pickled jalapenos. DAMN. I piled all that jazz on top of the chips and threw the whole plate in the oven to melt the cheese. When it came out it was just like I had been served this steaming pile of deliciousness in the restaurant. I destroyed this plate of nachos, single handedly cancelling out the previous week's worth of gym time. But it was worth it. Can't wait to go back and try the burritos. A friend who lives in the area brought me to Tito's Burritos when I came to town. I grew up in Southern California and I know a thing or two about Mexican food. This was seriously the tastiest burrito I've had in a long time. Tito's is located right in downtown Summit. It's a small restaurant with just a few tiny tables inside. Service was very friendly and our order was brought to our table promptly. I ordered The Big Easy: chicken, rice, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo wrapped up in a tortilla. I am sort of flummoxed by the yellow rice-- I'm not sure I've ever seen rice this color before, and certainly not in a burrito. But who cares? This burrito was darn good. The rice could have been purple for all I cared once I took a bite. The burrito came with a handful of chips, which were tasty as well. My friend ordered the bean & cheese burrito, which she really liked. Her husband is crazy about The Bird, a chicken burrito with black beans & guacamole. This is a casual place, nothing fancy. But the food is satisfying and tasty, service is wonderful and I enjoyed my experience. I'm just sad that there isn't a Tito's in CA so I can go back! read more

You're walking into the party, the party you have been looking forward to for weeks. All your friends and family will be there and you are so excited to see them all. Store front caught my eye while driving by looking for somewhere to eat. So glad I did. First off the surf shop like decor is great, and old surf videos paying told me I was in the right place.. 2nd. The salsa bar offers 3 flavors of salsa, pickled jalepenos, cut limes and pico de gallo. I enjoyed some tacos, best of the bunch being the Shark Taco (grilled swordfish not shark) served in hard shell wrapped in a soft tortilla.
