I never write reviews for Uber orders. Let me tell you . They package everything amazing . I loved there lime Italian shaved ice. It reminds me of Mexico lime ice cream. Also really liked there tostitos Sinaloa.

Just tried this place out today with my kids & we all loved it! We only tried 2 things so far, so we definitely plan to go back and try more for sure. I got a small mango & strawberry fruit cup (chamoy and tajin on the side since I was sharing with a toddler. Their chamoy is from Mexico & delicious!) oh and the small size is a goooood sized small! You can actually get up to 4 fruits in the 16oz that I got. My son had a cookies & cream milk shake which was blended to perfection. NGL it was better than chick fil a's & DQ. The inside is decorated nicely & is super clean. We luckily got there when there was no wait, around lunchtime. Highly recommend this place!! Can't wait to try more like the chamoyada, nachos, fresas con crema, & Tostitos preparados! Everything Just sounds sooo good.

One of the Best Clamato preparado I have had. The limeanda was flavorful and the ice was soft. The place was clean and the staff was friendly I would absolutely come here again.

So glad to have found another snack place! The aguas frescas are delicious, between the watermelon and pineapple my favorite was the pineapple! So delicious and refreshing! Hot Cheetos and cheese, can't get that wrong lol. The tostilotes were good and I like that they use white corn however the corn was just a little too watery for my liking. Overall it was good and I'll be back to try other things on the menu.

Watermelon agua fresca, pica candy snacks, and the corn on a cup.

This place was amazing!! Everything we got was delicious my boys got strawberry smoothies that were amazing and fresh to taste. My husband and I tried the corn on the cup to share with the white corn and it was oh so good. Husband got the watermelon agua Fresca which was also fresh and the perfect sweet. Horchata was sooooo good! We left happy and we will definitely come back soon.

Very good agua frescas. Nice clean location by the school. They have so many choices it's hard to choose what to get. Next time I want to try the corn in a cup and maybe the hot Cheetos. The horchata was very good too.

Great snack shop with a variety of treats. I got the corn in a cup with white and yellow corn and my husband got a mangonada. The owner made our order. Super kind guy with great customer service. We will be back when we're in the area

We stumbled across this place today and we are happy we did. There are tons of classic Mexican snacks available to choose from and everything is freshly made! The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We will definitely be visiting again!

First of all, I would like to mention that I recognized one of the workers from the last place we used to visit to get out fix on Mexican snacks! Both of the ladies working there were the sweetest. Great customer service here. I am so glad I found this place that reminds me of home (the rgv). They have white corn, y'all!! Like the good Mexican white corn!!

We booked a 1:30 reservation about 10 days in advance. My in-laws arrived around 1:15 and we got there shortly before our reservation time, but we still didn't get seated until around 1:45. To be fair, it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was busy, although there were a few empty tables while we waited. One thing they absolutely got right was the remodel. The old space used to feel dark and cramped, but the updated interior feels much more open, modern, and inviting. Our waitress was also excellent throughout the meal--attentive, kind, and clearly doing her best to keep up with a packed dining room. Unfortunately, that's where most of the positives ended for us. The chips were thicker than usual but still good, and while the salsa had decent flavor, it had almost no heat at all. We also ordered guacamole without onions, but it came across very bland and could've used more lime, seasoning, and some jalapeño to brighten it up. My wife did enjoy her strawberry margarita, which was both flavorful and noticeably strong. I ordered the mole enchiladas and found the mole sauce surprisingly flat and lacking depth. Other dishes around the table were described as just okay overall, although the kids were very happy with the thick, fluffy pancakes. The biggest issue was timing. We didn't receive our entrees until almost 3:00 PM, which made for a very long wait, especially with kids at the table. To the restaurant's credit, they brought out two slices of cake to apologize even though we never complained. Overall, we left pretty underwhelmed, especially considering the occasion. The excellent table-side service couldn't fully make up for the slow kitchen and uneven food quality. I'd be willing to give them another try on a less hectic day, but this visit didn't quite live up to expectations.

My wife and I had some errands to run out at Bandera Point, so she suggested going to dinner…read moresomewhere out there. She suggested Mia's Mexican Grill. She goes there frequently with her ladies' book club for breakfast. I had never been before, but found myself suddenly wanting Mexican food. The place was pretty busy. Afterall, it was a Saturday. I took the last space available in the parking lot, and anticipated a long wait for a table. Fortunately for us, they took us to a HUGE corner booth. It was large enough for at least six adults to scoot around and sit. I was surprised considering how busy they were, but I'm not in charge of table assignments. When I looked at the menu, my eyes went directly to a plate that had my choice of two enchiladas accomapnied by my choice of a chalupa, crispy taco, fajitas, or puffy taco. Each of those had choices like chicken or beef. I also had a choice of refried beans or borracho beans. I opted for two beef enchiladas, a beef puffy taco, and refried beans. The server put my steaming hot plate in front of me along with a separate plate for the puffy taco and a container of tortillas. It was an amazing amount of food. Now, if you know me, you know I evaluate Mexican restaurants on their rice, beans, and tortillas. Mia's rice was some of the best I have ever had. The texture was perfect, and the flavor was absolutely delicious. The beans were also very good. They were nice and thick and tasted of lard. Where Mia's fell a bit short was with the tortillas. They did not pass the smell test, they were a bit dry, they were a bit hard, and they did not taste that good. However, my wife has brought me tacos from there, so I know that they are capable of making some damned good tortillas. Maybe today they had problems. I don't know. The enchiladas on my plate were substantial. There must have been at least ¼ cup of ground beef in each one. The enchilada sauce was very good. It was not too salty like so many restaurants have started making. The puffy taco was as good as any I have had anywhere. It was huge, so I ate it with a fork. I could only eat about half of it. I was STUFFED. Trust me... There is no better STUFFED than when you are stuffed with delicious Mexican food like they serve here. My wife ordered and enjoyed an al carbon salad. She had some dental work recently and has to be careful about what she tries to chew. I'm glad she enjoyed it. I am not a salad eater (hence the big butt and belly). It did not look appetizing to me. The restaurant vibe reminded me of Mexican restaurants from my childhood. The music was nice. Everything was clean. The servers and hostess were awesome. I need to go back when I can get someone else to drive so I can have a margarita with my meal.

Very relaxed atmosphere and never rushed.

You can't find it on Yelp under the new name, which is frustrating as this place is NOTHING like it was. Even your credit card statement will still say House of Flavor. The menu is now a mariscos style seafood menu. My son and I were thrilled when we saw the change and the first time we went, we both loved it. He had a whole fish of some kind, and I had a cocktail of mixed seafood like shrimp, crab, and octopus. It was fresh, spicy, and flavorful. Today, we went back. This time my son got the seafood cocktail that I had the first time. Sorry I don't know the names, but the only menu I could find on line was a photo that was way too small to read. Anyway, he liked it and said it was the same as when I had it. I made a bad bad bad choice. I just wasn't feeling seafood to I ordered the enchiladas asadas. I mean come on... This is a MEXICAN restaurant in SAN ANTONIO. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be served the absolute WORST Mexican plate I have ever had. Those of you who read my reviews know that I rate a Mexican restaurant on their tortillas, rice, and beans. If those are good, the rest of the plate is usually okay at least. Let me break this meal down for you. Refried Beans- I have honestly had better out of a can. Rice- This was brought to me about 15 minutes after the rest of the food. It was plain white rice that was cooked to a mushy consistency. I tasted it to see what it was like with no plan of eating it. I had already given up on eating at all. But back to the tortillas- There were none served. Now let me do my best to describe the enchiladas. They were small corn tortillas with about a spoon full of meat inside and folded like tacos. There was a thick red sauce all over them. It did not taste like any kind of enchilada sauce I have ever had. It was sweet and left a foul aftertaste in my mouth. There was a white cheese on top that I can only describe as slimy. Yes... I said slimy. The enchiladas were flooded with that awful sauce and had turned to mush. Our server was very nice and helpful. The iced tea was very good. The venue was nice and clean. Will I be back? Yes, at least one more time once I have had sufficient time to get today's horrible food out of my head. But, you can bet your sweet behind that I won't go near anything but the seafood on the menu.
