This is a decent place for dinner. The atmosphere is nice, they have a full bar, and a patio is available for those who want to sit outside. Stopped by for lunch. Service was quick and pleasant. The food was not bad. The enchiladas were not stuffed with chicken which I personally enjoy more. Rice was eh, refried beans were not bad either. It was not crowded during my visit. Only a few customers. It was a little warm in there and not super cold outside. Would I return? Went here on a Friday afternoon and with the nicer weather, we decided to sit on their little patio. This place is really a cool little restaurant with flare. The chips are on point with the salsa as you review the menu. It was happy hour with some great choices for appetizers or a meal. We got puffy tacos, queso, steak nachos and asada/ground meat street tacos. The nachos are filling and the puffy could use a little more meat, but we're good. The margarita on rocks was good, but not much tequila taste. Overall, this is a great place for a sit down meal. read more

First time customers, came in during dinner rush around 630pmish. House was packed. hostess bypassed me and tended to those before who moved to the side so I could check in. She and a few other put 2 tables together for these guests #Teamwork she mentioned it was about a 25min wait but was called before that (woohoo) I'm not sure if it was the way the buildings built,, but it was very loud in there. If you're ready to get your grub on with minimal convo; this is your spot. I only focused on eating - it was too loud and didn't wanna yell over the others yelling just to talk. I realized this when I yelled for a server for a straw but she didn't hear me. It was understandable as I was next to a large party. I wasn't ready for this environment so while waiting, we checked out the menu. As soon as we got saw, we were ready to order and I got me a drank! lol their Rita on the rocks was really tasty! I ordered their super Mexican plate that came with two tortillas. Food and plate came HOT. (1) Enchilada was super cheesy, (1) tamale was good (it may have been a bit sweeter for my liking but there was plenty of food on my plate) I loved how they played my (1) crispy taco on a bed of lettuce - it prevented my shell from getting wet with the other juices (was this on purpose or accidental - who cares I loved how my taco was crispy! KUDOS! The nachos compuestos plate was huge. Two separate plates came with it (1- jalapeños and 1-sour cream and guac) I saw all the servers running around and working their magic with each guest. When my server wasn't around, I asked another server for him. She asked how she could help and ended with "I gotchu" man, I wish I got her name... she sure did make a great impression. Salsa is served warm, not spicy but good flavor. Queso with beef wasn't bad, and while the margarita tastes good it wasn't very strong. For $10 was hoping for more of a kick. Fajita plate came out sizzling, always a good sign. The beef was a little tough but they did taste good. Cheese enchilada plate comes with 3 and rice and beans. Another item that was tasty but just slightly lacking in flavor, the gravy needed a little more chili powder or cumin or something. So would I eat here again? Yes, probably. It's been tough to find a mexican restaurant for lunch and dinner that is decent and worth the price. We found one in the Huebner & Babcock area. We had lunch on a Saturday and the food came out fast, hot, and was delicious. The enchiladas were cheese. The rice was made perfectly and the beans were great. The tortillas were light and fluffy. I prefer mine with butter. We tried the margaritas and they had many flavors to choose from. I loved the cucumber margarita and my husband had the prickly pear! On a subject from one of the Yep reviewer's my daughter and I decided to visit this place. From entering the restaurant we were greated from the employee's they sat us down right away and asked us what we would like to drink. I had been saying from a few days earlier that I had been wanting a margarita and before I could finish looking at my menu my drink was there and the waitress with a big smile said here's your drink I think her name was Faviola I hope I spelled it right because I diffently return. The food was awesome and both of us were really empressed with our meals and how fast everythig was brought to us. The atmoshere was great and we well diffently be returing. This restaurant is beautifully decorated as you can see from the pictures. The waitress was super warm and inviting, she remembered wheat we liked from the last time we were here which was impressive. We got tacos and they were great. Continuing with eating local eateries, especially when looking for the perfect enchiladas. Started off with queso and Piccadillo, which was ok, hit the cheese craving. Chips were fresh & crispy. We had the Mexican Plate with cheese enchiladas! Will say these enchiladas had a little pop of spice. Yea, these enchiladas melt in your mouth. Rice however was kind of bland, lacked seasoning. Now the refried beans were so good, ya I took the leftover beans home. The chicken taco salad, was ok, lettuce was green and tomatoes were perfect, yet the salad seemed to have missed the mark on flavor. So I stopped by today with co workers for lunch. First time visiting this restaurant. We were greeted promptly and service was good. Restaurant was clean and not overly crowded. Reviewed the menu prices and they are above average for this type of restaurant. That's okay to an extent but the portion sizes of your order in relation to the prices charged are not in unison. Chips/ Salsa they charge for when you are seated and the amount of chips that are provided are the same amount of corn flakes you are served in the 2nd grade. Not kidding.... It's a small bowl. The food again is great but I paid $12 for an asada taco and a carne guisada taco with cheese. Each tack was like $5+ and the servings in each taco had no substance to it. The amount of beef placed in each taco was sad. I get it times are tough for a restaurant but they're also hard for customers too. If you're going to charge what you charge for a simple taco please merit your cost and provide ample servings for what you charge for. Will I go back? Probabally not.... read more

Excellent food. Their carne guisada was absolutely delicious and their country and egg. They served fresh flour tortillas and my friend had the cheese omelette and it was perfectly made. I usually hit this place up for lunch because it's close to work . Super quick service, food is good and a great setting. I stick with the same thing every time and it's always good. I sure hope this restaurant makes it. Beef fajitas were tender and delicious, the charro beans were nicely seasoned, and the mole on the chicken enchiladas was very rich and chocolate forward. I don't think I've ever been disappointed in Mexican Food in San Antonio until today when we ate at Camacho's Mexican Restaurant. My husband and I ordered different plates. I got the Camacho Combo & he got the Tortilla Soup with a "taco"; which was actually a flauta or taquito. Everything tasted the same; bland. The chicken in the soup tasted as though they dropped baked chicken into the tortilla soup. It was very tough and so dry!! INo flavor at all. No cilantro, no cumin, nothing! It just tasted like grease. My plate, the combo, had a cheese enchilada, a tamale, and a puffy taco. It all was very bland and had the same flavor. We truly should have left when we first got there and found out they do not have complimentary chips; you have to pay 3.99!! for chips and salsa. Unbelievable. read more

The decor has a lot left to be desired, but the food was surprisingly good. I've driven by this place a lot over the last couple of years and finally stopped in. It's a great neighborhood Tex-Mex joint. It's smaller on the inside than I expected so on the weekends I can see a wait happening during breakfast/brunch time. The group I was with ordered breakfast tacos and lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal and thought everything was seasoned well. The tortillas were decent enough. If you want the cheese melted in your tacos you need to ask though. Other Tex-Mex places I enjoy are Blanco Cafe (on Blanco Rd) and Original Donut Shop for reference. I can easily see myself coming back here when in the area. Glad to find a new little spot. read more
