The office staff was also very good and took good care of me as I was there, including his physicians assistant, who answered questions for us. We highly recommend him. I got there at 1:35 but two other patients took their time signing in and filling out their paperwork (Instead of sitting down and filling it out) BY the time I signed in at approximate 1:55. I sat there and watched 3, yes THREE other people who came in well after me and were seen before me. Even though their front desk sign says "Patients are seen in the order they signed in" Finally, around 2:20 an assistant (The blonde guy with the beard who laughs a lot) took me just inside the front desk and took my vitals. When I asked him how much longer he told me, "Doctor has 3 or 4 in there now, so about another 45 minutes." So, I told him I've been here since 1:35 to which he told me, "Well the doctor is seeing a few people with more serious needs" I WAS FLOORED! And at that point I told him, when you give Dr Alfay my chart with my vitals, tell him if he wants to talk, or tele-med me, he has my number. I hope to get a call from Dr Alfay or his office manager about this SOON. However, if I don't, I will be contacting my insurance provider to tell them, so that Hope Cardiovascular doesn't try to bill them for a full visit or consultation. I had no clue that he was addicted to this drug whatsoever!! I had to take him to The closest ER which was Menifee Global Hospital. To begin with, the admissions staff were kind and courteous. as soon as he was in the ER, his PA began treatment. The rest of the ER staff that afternoon and night were God sent. Literally Angels who went above and beyond to help with this ordeal. Watching someone you love go through withdrawals is heartbreaking and heart wrenching. There is one single flaw however with this hospital, and it is a very shady one, and that is that not only is it exceptionally hard to obtain medical records, but there is a $5 fee attached to it. I am on a single income and cannot lose my job. He stated he could do a surgery on Wednesday and that I could be back at work on Monday. On January 14, I had the surgery. Dr. Krieg did not speak with me after the surgery. I have been trying to get in touch with him regarding concerns and pain since January 14 (so for over a week) with no luck. I can only speak with Marissa, the physician assistant. It takes days to get a call back, and when I finally can speak to someone, my concerns are dismissed and I'm told that people don't usually have questions after surgery. I am still not back at work because the office will not fill out the forms I gave them from my office that would authorize a return to work. My pain medication ran out Monday. Dr. Krieg authorized a refill, but the staff will not complete a pre-authorization to allow my insurance to cover it, despite me telling them I'm in pain to the point I can't sleep or function normally. I feel completely dehumanized by this whole experience. I agreed to surgery in the hopes that I could return to work. Now, I'm in more pain than I was before the surgery. I can't get in contact with Dr. Krieg or anyone who is willing to address my concerns. I feel completely dehumanized that I had a serious surgery which I am experiencing side effects from. After one appointment I would say his services and care are average. You can tell this office gets bogged down with simple issues, but his staff and him were quick with submitting labs, imaging, and prescriptions. The clinic is very up to date with using the online portal/app so you can quickly review your paperwork and message the provider. The only concerns I have is that sometimes it takes 2-3 voicemails to get a hold of someone, they are very adamant about you filling out paperwork via the portal prior to your appointment, but then you arrive and still fill out similar paperwork..., and lastly, as mentioned above, due to a lot of patients it feels like the medical team is indifferent when it comes to patients. I think this is medicine practices everywhere because people go to urgent care, ERs, doctor offices, etc. with issues that can be self-treated which then ruins the experience for people with more troubling symptoms/issues. I asked multiple times to speak with her or the person that made the decision but was refused this option. There was no consideration of the reason I was being seen or that I had sat in traffic that I was not in control of as the reason I was not early for my appointment as they asked. The service here has completely gone down the drain with his expansion. Dr Atiga used to see everyone with a smile but now I feel like a number only, I am a bill due for them or money. Eventually, after I called the Murrieta location and asked for a supervisor, I was allowed to speak with the Supervisor at Menifee. Rita pulled a trashy excuse and claimed I never asked to speak with a supervisor previously. She is a gross excuse of patient care. Now, it should be known that after I finally got to speak with the supervisor, at 4:20 pm, Jason, the other PA saw me and all was handled, but it should have NEVER, come to me having to call another location and demand to speak with a supervisor to be seen. This is not a joke, is it time to find a new PCP. I am not paying good money for insurance to be treated like garbage by this receptionist. Dr Atiga, feel free to call me.
