This is my go to restaurant, they have great food and what I love the most is their natural flavored waters, any type of fruit you like they make it fresh. This place is delicious! Definitely very heavy food, so I need a nap after but it's worth it. Found this place while working in the area and have introduced it to many others that now love it too. My fave is the Asada Torta. Their huevos rancheros are super spicy and good too. The name of one of the best movies produced during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema starring two of the finest actors ever: Pedro Infante and "La Doña" Maria Felix. 3.The best Mexican restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles. The best tacos de Carne Asada ever, and they are only 1.25 each! The best tortas (Mexican style Sandwich) ever. The best sopes. The best guacamole, they make it fresh on the spot. There are lots of other things on their menu as well - Enchiladas, hamburgers, traditional mexican breakfast dishes, like Chorizo and Huevos Rancheros. Traditional drinks like Horchata and sangria. Fruit salads, yummy desserts, like the best Flan I've ever had. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices. And lots of other stuff - all very authentic recipes and sauces. All very reasonably priced, too. And to go with whatever you order, all the freshly sliced radishes and Escabeche (onions, sliced carrots, and jalapenos marinated in vinegar) you want. The establishment is small, cozy, and VERY clean. The décor on the wall is awesome with a lot of Pancho Villa photographs. It's like a Mexican art /historical exhibit in there, haha. Ate at Tizoc Restaurant today, and I'm glad I did. My boyfriend and I had their menudo with maíz, and it was very yummy. I woke up craving menudo, but wasn't sure where to go. Most restaurants were closed today due to the New Year holiday, but luckily I found Tizoc open AND offering menudo on a weekday! Well I'm happy to say that this place has some pretty darn good soup! The pansa was pretty meaty, the maíz was small yet tender and the broth was tasty and not greasy, like you'd get at most other restaurants. I must admit that the broth was my favorite part of the soup (after adding a bit of lemon and oregano). Tizoc is authentic mexican food. It's good and they have a variety of dishes. I have only had the breakfast because I'm vegetarian and their breakfast fits my diet. So I can't speak of any other dishes with meat but the breakfast is good. The only con about tizoc is that it is way too expensive. A breakfast for 2 people comes out to about $25.00. So because it is so expensive I only have tizoc on rare occasions. read more

Tizoc has my favorite tortas I've tired tortas from many places but so far tizoc are still my favorite. I love that you could place your order on the phone and once you get there is always ready I also love the service always so polite and professional.
