I decided to do a trip for some me time, just to browse around. After spending over an hour inside trying on tons of footwear, it has come to an expensive buying experience. This store is kind of small, but tons of items, I got a storage box for glasses, quite a few walking shoes and a cute little stool for the man of the house. It's a really nice store with lots of great items to choose from, I sure would do this again.

Great Kate Spade find today! (My frenchie sole separately)

Great finds today! Name brands galore! (If that's your thing, and for the right price it can def be my thing) Wish it was a little more organized in certain departments. Not over crowded on a Saturday afternoon and friendly staff ringing customers. However overall the Best T.J. I have been to in the Bay Area inside a dated shopping center.

I go primarily for Bliss lotion and Arden/Lauder/Whatever SPF moisturizer and always get stuck in the Runway section.

I was in need of a professional wardrobe after working from home the last few years. I set up an appointment with a stylist online and she called to ask what I was looking for, my sizes, color preferences etc. I was very specific- I needed an interview suit for my conservative industry, as well as day to day office pieces and shoes. I also said I was open to jewelry (costume - Nordstrom is one of the best stores for costume jewelry that is still high quality IMO). We set an appt and I cane in and she had reserved a large fitting room and had it filled with suits and separates. Everything in row sizes (I'm a 4 or a 6 based on the designer). Nice job of bringing in both high end and more reasonable prices. No shoes, no jewelry, no outfit suggestions. That was the "style" part I really wanted. Basically for a free service it's a nice time saver to have clothes pulled and ready for you to try on. But that's it. I was prepared to spend a lot of money because I hadn't shopped much in a long time and I ended up with a single suit, a blouse, and a random t shirt I later texted the same stylist to ask if she could pull some options for an upcoming wedding I had to go to. Never heard back.

Then, my girl pondering which bicycle tire pump to get, seeing a fellow at some distance from that section of the store wearing a red Target shirt, motioned to him that we needed help, before realizing it was Ed. Wonder of wonders, Ed carefully explained the difference. Target really should make Ed not just store manager, but regional manager, in charge of training. Ed's genuineness is infectious, his range of knowledge remarkable, his casual intellect makes shopping a breeze. Ed would be a welcomed addition in Target's corporate offices. Anyone long in business knows people are quick to complain, slow to praise. So please let my words of appreciation for this cheerful, savvy soul serve as proxy for all the Target customers Ed has helped but who never bothered thanking him for his thoughtful help, for going the extra mile. Shopping and its decisions at Walnut Creek, CA Target,1871 North Main Street, are both pleasurable and illuminating thanks to a rare gentleman like Ed.

Recently, we returned and my wife was able to find what she was looking for. On a Saturday afternoon, the store was busy, but we were still able to get in and out fast. This is one of the busier Target stores I've been to. I think my sister prefers it to the one in Oakland. It reminds me of our Target at home in Atlanta (Atlantic Station) because it has a garage and you have to take escalators/stairs up to get into the store (however, at this location, if you park outside, there is no need to take the escalators/stairs).

I love love love this Macy's…read more My husband and I were shopping last winter for a great Gatsby roaring 20s party. A woman who worked in the men's section, by the name of Perla, helped us. We would not have known how to sort through all of the brands and styles of suits and tuxedos. She listened to what we needed and gave us her expert opinion. We ended up buying what she suggested and also got a very nice Men's winter dress jacket. It's felt like such a blessing that she was there and could help us. Months later, my son was visiting from college and needed a new suit for a wedding. While we were on our way there, I was thinking about her and hoping that she was there. She was at the counter and was able to come and take the time to help us. We found him a new suit, shirt, and a pair of shoes. I'm so impressed by how she was able to cut through all of the noise there and help us find something that worked for our needs. She's very kind and helpful. And I appreciate that She offers her opinions. It felt like having a personal shopper guide us. That matters a lot, especially I think in this day and age because often stores don't have that many people helping on the floor. If I hadn't worked with her before, I would never have known that I could even ask somebody to do what she did. She took the overwhelm out of the shopping experience. I give her five stars! Perla represents something rare and valuable that reflects well on Macy's and I wanted to share my thoughts about my experiences with her. I also felt like nothing about what she suggested was over the top and we actually chose to buy more than she suggested. It didn't feel like she was pushing merchandise on us. I mean, I am the one that went looking for her because of the way that she was with us the first time.

During the time we were browsing, they appeared to be talking with each other. Both looked in our direction several times, yet neither acknowledged us, greeted us, or asked if we needed assistance. What made the experience particularly disappointing was seeing another customer, who arrived after us and was standing farther away, immediately acknowledged and told to let them know if he had any questions or needed assistance. Meanwhile, my partner and I had already been standing there for several minutes without receiving so much as a greeting. We were genuinely interested in looking at jewelry and potentially making a purchase. Instead, the noticeable difference in the level of attention made us feel overlooked and unwelcome. It was uncomfortable enough that we decided to leave the department and the store rather than continue shopping. Customer service does not always require an extended interaction a simple "Hello, let us know if you need any help" would have made a significant difference. Every customer deserves to be acknowledged and treated with the same level of courtesy and professionalism. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer service experience within the jewelry department, because this interaction ultimately resulted in us taking our business elsewhere.
