Super great location. I go here everytime I go Palm Springs. Large purse section. Great jewelry counter with such kind workers. Clean and organized. They didn't have the walkways shoved so close together despite Christmas. Found some great things. Only issue is their plus size section. Really tiny and nothing fresh. Did TJMAXX pay customers to write positive reviews? I would give 0 stars if it was possible. TJMAXX CORPORATE HR TEAM LED BY REMY THINK THAT IF THEY WAIT LONG ENOUGH THE ISSUE WILL GO AWAY. My 93 yr old Mother and I were racially profiled by TJMAXX Orinda 4/2024 - 5/2024 by the management team. We were refused service. I'm ADA, Severe Fibromyalgia. The incidents caused me to flare up for 6+ weeks and I was Bedridden. Can someone help me figure out how to get justice? The amount owed is less than $5k so I can: -Smalls Claims Court -Hire an attorney and sue I'm leaning towards the latter because Remy thinks she has successfully swept this under the rug. Lurie at the Moraga TJ Maxx crossed the damn line. I walked into the store like any normal customer, and she straight-up raised her voice and told me, "Just go away" -- no reason, no excuse, just hate. Her whole attitude was disgusting -- rude, aggressive, and clearly based on how I look. That's racism, point blank. Who the hell does she think she is, treating people like trash? Let me say this loud and clear: I won't tolerate it. Nobody should. If management doesn't deal with her, someone out here will. People like her eventually mess with the wrong one. I decided to do a trip for some me time, just to browse around. After spending over an hour inside trying on tons of footwear, it has come to an expensive buying experience. This store is kind of small, but tons of items, I got a storage box for glasses, quite a few walking shoes and a cute little stool for the man of the house. It's a really nice store with lots of great items to choose from, I sure would do this again. read more

Customer service at this location is great; the employees are welcoming, helpful, and available to answer any questions. The store is clean and they seem to have re-organized the loungewear area to make it more accessible. Dressing rooms are open (no more trying on clothes only at home! : ) and they're tidy and have an available attendant. Depending on the season, I have been able to find a few things here, and other times not as much. I return to this location mainly for the cleanliness and the customer service and always hope to score a good find : ) read more

The store manager is not only very professional but at the same time very kind and sweet. I accidentally met her last night in the store and she is lovely. The store is very organized and clean. The employees are friendly and pleasant. It is a pleasure to shop at this store. The only thing I can say that is not very positive is that before Covid the store carried a larger "Runway" collection which was the main reason I shopped there. Shoes and handbag selection also seem to be very limited now and not of the nicer brands the store offered before Covid. I noticed the women athletic wear is also limited now. I hope the store recovers from effects of Covid and starts getting a nicer "Runway" selectionn, more notable shoes and handbag brands and a larger selection of sportswear soon. read more

YOU WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN. I have never been followed and treated like a god damn criminal in my whole life until Sunday, February 9th, 2020 when I walked into this store with my family. I drove 30 miles to see this store, since I heard great things about their Runway selection. Wow, what a disappointment. Employees followed us through the store, even had some old man following us, whom I assumed was Loss Prevention. Guess what?! I am a former employee of TJ Maxx in Brentwood, and I am appalled with how I was treated in your store. I have never, and would never steal, but your employees sure treated me like I was. I will be calling corporate as well, I assume I'm not the only person to be treated this way and in no way was this acceptable. Shame on you, TJ Maxx. I am so disappointed in this shop. I used to really like this store but today was VERY BAD. This place doesn't even deserve my one star. We picked out some clothes that were all discounted and going to the cashier to pay for our items. We checked all the prices before trying on the clothes in the fitting room. So when we were paying, one of the tags for one of the clothes fell out and so the new manager and I went back to the fitting room to check if it was there. We found a tag but she was hiding in her hand. I glance at it and saw it was a red tag and it was $9.99. Then we went back and the NEW MANAGER RHONDA placed a tag on which was more expensive then it was supposed to be. HEY, every heard of the PHRASE "YOUR CUSTOMER IS AlWAYS RIGHT". I can't come here without buying something. They sell fendi, Marc Jacobs, Tory burch, Vince, theory, philosophy, Kenneth Cole, Michael kors, Rebecca minkoff, Diane Von furstenburg, lucky brand, joe's jeans, Hudson, splendid, all of your favorite luxuries for a fraction of the cost. The have a very small selection of men's items and practically no mens shoes. The women's shoes don't really have boxes but lots of variety (but marshalls has a much better shoe section). They have hundreds of purse options. The have business attire, dresses, jeans, jackets, shirts, scarves, pajamas, wallets, kids clothes, home decor items, Some seasonal items, nail polish, make up and make up brushes. They have EVERYTHING!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go check it out. There are a million cute items to choose from. read more

Great TJ Maxx Runway location. Off the beaten path this is quite the drive from San Francisco, but it is a huge store, well stocked with tons of sales going on making it worth the drive. Staff was nice, no line at check out, plenty of easy parking, worth a stop! read more

TJ Maxx gets 4 stars for actually having shirts in my size. though it wasn't my style, the Calvin Klein and Klor shirts (14-99-29.99) were a sight for sore eyes.. the usual iphone chargers, casings (7.99) were available near the checkout lanes. read more

I went to the store recently and noticed the store really needed improvement. Some customer's face mask only covers mouth not the nose. That's wrong and I did not see anyone near the entrance to direct the situation. It was good before the pandemic but do not feel comfortable under the current pandemic. People waiting in the check out line are not sure which line is correct since there are two lines there. Even Ross, Nordstrom rack always have very clear sign to direct shoppers. read more

I was definitely impressed by the number of designer brands they had! It was quiet and nice but the bathrooms were filthy and smelled like a port-a-potty! I went in for a purse and found one I wanted so I pressed the button for assistance to get it free... I waited for over 10 minutes and nobody came so I went to the line to checkout with the one other item I found. I waited in like for almost 20 minutes and when I finally got to the register I asked the cashier if she could help me get the purse I wanted and she gave me a dirty look and told me to come with her. Really good selection at fantastic prices, probably because the locals believe TJ Maxx is beneath them. Good thing I'm not though! Honestly, what kind of store is TJ Maxx anyway? Clothing? Home furnishings? Assorted doodad department store? In any case, it's great for their low, low prices while at the same time getting some pretty neat stuff. I got a pair of Lucky jeans for $30 and an Express shirt for $20, which is insane. This particular location is almost always empty, minus the holidays, which I also like. It's also conveniently located amid tons of other shops that don't necessarily overlap with what they're selling, so it's always worth a quick look. read more

I have been going to this particular TJ Max for 15+ years. Most stores of this type are hit or miss, almost always a hit at this one. This is the best TJ Max around. They have Balenciaga, Valentino, DVF, Tory Burch, Parker and more on a regular basis. Also great items for home, yoga, and bath and body. They have Sephora-level makeup at TJ Maxx prices. I could probably do all the shopping in my life here except for the grocery store. (And I could maybe make the candy in the checkout lane work for that.) Well worth the drive! read more

It hurts to write this review, but the smell is insanely terrible. To the point where you can't stay in the store for a few minutes - it's the strongest by the right side of the store -where the designer stuff is so go figure. It started last year and keeps getting worse so I may have to take this TJ Maxx off my list. Other than that, the designer and shoe section is pretty great. Sometimes even the jewelry and skincare section too, they usually have a good amount of Bliss and Body Shop products. The home section isn't bad either, but HomeGoods is literally in the same plaza. I've found patio furniture here that was a steal. But back to the smell, why isn't management doing something about this?!?! read more

Growing up, my friend Kristen was always the stylish one of the bunch. Whether it was puffy vests or car coats or wedge espadrilles, she had it first, and she always did it best. In fact, she was the first one of us to cross the $100 threshold for a pair of pants (8th grade, Armani Exchange white capris). We made fun of her for her materialistic ways, but deep down we were supremely jealous of her fashionista sensibilities. Now that we're in our mid-20s and no longer siphoning off the benjamins from mommy's credit card, I have continued to be impressed by her wardrobe choices. She recently let me in on a secret: "TJ Maxx. Moraga. Runway Section." Catering to the Moraga Moms and their Hermes-toting daughters, the Runway section at TJ's is full of mid-level to high-end designer goods at moderate prices. Trina Turk, Theory, Citizens for Humanity...it's all there. Premium denim and glamorous cocktail dresses abound. I saw some Paper Denim and Cloth jeans going for about $100 and a Dooney&Burke purse for $80. This is on top of the great savings of the rest of the store, which had a decidedly more upscale feel than other discount stores (it's a lot like Loehmann's in the city). Recently I went in and purchased the following: 1) Express summer dress with satin seams Original Price: $80 TJ Price: $25 2) Random Boutique store gray jumper dress with pockets: Original Price: $60 TJ Price: $16 3) Michael by Michael Kors sunglasses: Original Price: $80 TJ Price: $15 4) GF Ferre white cotton halter summer dress: Original Price: $1500 (not a typo) TJ Price: $180 Look at that! I don't care how snooty you are, those prices are damn good and now I can brush off "OMG I LOVE YOUR DRESS!" with a casual "Oh it's some Italian label. I don't even know." I may not be able to pull off some of the looks that Kristen does, but I can damn well try now. Just be careful to not overdo it and be too stoked about the prices. $300 on clothes is still $300 on clothes. There's a reason I'm living off of Top Ramen until the end of the month. read more

Review #119 - 2016 This is the nearest TJ Maxx to where I live and I used to be really proud of the fact that we had the best TJ Maxx within a 25-mile radius, but lately it seems like this location has gone down. There's not much going on as far as "nicer" brands. The store is also not as clean as it should be. The last few times I've come in, there's a leakage from the ceiling or something and they just put a bucket in the middle of the aisle where any child or elderly person could easily trip and fall. There were some construction guys or something working on fixing some stuff, walking around and just getting in your way. They couldn't do the repairs during non business hours so shoppers aren't feeling uncomfortable? Other than that, the employees here are usually pretty friendly and helpful so that makes a shopper's experience a little less painful. Although, they don't really carry much clothes for young men because whenever I come here to look for clothes for my 13-year old son, we usually leave empty-handed. They also don't carry boys's or men's shoes at this location. read more

Seriously, this store is like no other Maxxies in the area... I'm talking 7 for all man kind (not like my big booty can fit those), DKNY (for us bigger booty gals), Michael Kors, high-end bags, and other top notch brands you usually don't see in these kinds of chains. Think of this location as the "Elite" TJ Maxx. My only complaint is the location. Not only is it far from home but why do they put this hidden gem of a store in a community where people already have a ton of $$!? I have two rules for clothing shopping: 1. Don't have your heart set on finding any one particular item. Just welcome what looks good on you. 2. Don't go when you are on your period. Those dressing room lights are brutal enough without adding a few pounds of water weight to the whole mess. Yesterday, I set out to find an Easter dress. And I'm on my period. Hey, I'm a rebel, a rule-breaker! Even my own rules.... Whatever. The Maxx did not let me down. No, I didn't find my Easter dress, but I did find two lovely dresses for other occasions (one for work and the other for my upcoming class reunion). I also found a pair of 7 for all mankind jeans and Steve Madden sunglasses. I'm going to Vegas and I need sunglasses! I didn't need the jeans. But they fit my curves, so they had to come home with me. So, there you have it. A successful shopping trip and broken rules. It's fun for me. read more
