I was really disappointed with my experience at this location. When I first approached the register, the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, as soon as I entered my boyfriend's phone number and was told I wasn't a member, the tone completely changed. Instead of asking if I wanted to sign up, I was immediately asked for my email. I explained that I'm not from here and wasn't comfortable giving one. I was then asked if I had a friend's email, which also felt uncomfortable. When I declined, both cashiers looked at each other in an annoyed way, and from that moment on, the friendliness was gone. I understand that employees are encouraged to sign customers up for rewards programs -- I truly do -- but customer service should not depend on whether someone agrees to marketing. The sudden shift in attitude made me feel unwelcome and pressured, which is not how a shopping experience should feel. That said, I do want to acknowledge Jesebel, the associate by the front door. She did a great job promoting products, offering helpful suggestions, and was genuinely warm and engaging. Her customer service was excellent and made the beginning of my visit enjoyable. I love Bath & Body Works products, but this experience at checkout left a bad impression. Customers should be treated with the same respect and kindness whether they sign up for a membership or not. read more

Susan deserves to be associate of the year. I've been here several times and she is always so upbeat, kind and knowledgeable. She knows her fragrances and the dupes! She seems to have a passion for her job and goes above and beyond to stay current on the fragrance trends. The store is always clean, stocked and in good order. read more

Came in for my Vanilla Bean Noel products, but was told they weren't in stock yet. Unfortunately they didn't say when to expect them. I looked on line and I can see they are offering the products for sale. Maybe I'll just order them online when they go on sale. As I was walking out another sales associate caught me and said they do have the Vanilla Bean Noel Mist for sale now, just not the other beauty products. I was looking for body wash and hand soap. It would have been a good deal. It was buy 3 get 3 free. Maybe next time I swing by they'll have them available for purchase and on sale. Parking is non-existent. Located in the middle of a shopping center so all parking is with a lot. It's close by, but this isn't a grab and go store. Parking is free for the first 3 hours so it is a good deal and keeps you shopping longer, just not convienent if you just want to go to one store. read more

Love Bath & Body Works. They have great deals and the smell of the stores is delightful. DO NOT however, purchase a gift card. Did so and 2 months later regretted it. Son's GF wanted to place an online order for pick up. Perfect. Nice. Easy. Quick. Not so much. The $50 gift card suddenly had a ZERO balance!! It was never used, the pin was not scratched off and yet, ZERO. Embarrassing!! I had purchased this card as a gift for her b/day. Was not about to let this go. Contacted customer service. So far has taken over 1 month for them to "investigate." I went online and discovered that this is a common occurrence with gift cards from this establishment! :-( Come on Bath & Body Works - you can do better. read more

I love bath and body works but this shop at Walnut Creek downtown has the worst customer service! I purchased the goodies online and I came pick up, they said they cannot hold it for more than 1 week so I asked for a refund. I understand I was late to pick up so it's fine, but eventually the refund never happened and they were not able to give me the goodies I purchased. This is unprofessional, more than unprofessional. I will never return to this store. I would rather going to the sun valley one and they have much better service there. read more

Rude and unprofessional. No employees approached us for help. We came in looking for hand soap and room sprays. I sprayed a scent and it made me sneeze. I overheard the employees talking LOUDLy about me sneezing and made remarks about me being sick. I am not. Pre-holiday shopping is always hectic. I came here 12/24 as I completely had forgotten to get a few stocking stuffers and needed to grab a few things. The lines weren't too bad, everything was pretty organized but I did notice a few events were separated from one another which was a tad confusing. However, some employees were helpful -- other employees; not so much. Jasmine, at the register, was such a pleasant and professional interaction. She was helpful and answered all my questions while still ringing me up, never dropping her smile. I didn't feel rushed at any time. Bath & Body Works is my "go to" for body spray.  I'm not afraid of a scent of watermelon, or vanilla, or "the beach".  I love the 50+ variety of smells, and they always introduce new ones. I especially love when they offer a 2 for 1, or buy 2 get 1 free. My boyfriend and I came into the store to stock up on cleansing bars and to our luck we saw they were on sale for 3 for $10. When they were brought up to the register, the cashier had told me that they were no longer that promotion, but now Buy 3 get 1 free so my total was about $30. I had explained to them that the marketing stated otherwise and the cashier didn't say anything and we ended up waiting about 10 mins for a manager to come up and tell us the exact same thing. The manager ended up honoring the promotion for us but please be on top of your marketing on the sales floor! You would run into a lot less disappointed and frustrated customers if you were aware of what was on the sales floor. read more

Terrible customer service. I placed an online order for pick up in the store for items on sale for one day only. We went to pick it up about 45 minutes after placing the order and were told they couldn't find it. (Didn't bother to look too hard for the order) We were not told to wait a few minutes, just that it wasn't in their system. We had to leave the shopping center and 10 minutes later got a text it was ready. Since I couldn't return for pick up right away, I was told the only option was to come back and get it within 5 days. The store clerk clearly did not go out of her way to help and I will waste another trip due to their terrible customer service. Recommend having items shipped instead. read more

On a whim, walked in here with my 11 year old daughter. We were browsing when Dena came over and asked us if we needed any help. We didn't know much about their products and she answered all our questions. She was so helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up buying a lot more stuff than I planned. There was a promotion so she bought a few soaps and lotions for her friends. Ashleigh helped us to ring up our goodies. She was very helpful too and offered to bag up some of the items. In this Covid environment, this store is a disaster. They have so much merchandise and many unnecessary tables and displays crowded into the middle of this small store. Beyond that, there were 10+ employees lingering around blocking the cramped aisles. While I was there, they let 25+ people inside at once (there were no restrictions at the door), so it was impossible to socially distance. I had to squeeze through groups of customers and employees to get to the register and then out of the store. This is so incredibly irresponsible right now, and needs to be fixed immediately. I will not shop here again until they make more space by removing displays and merchandise and limiting the number of customers and employees inside at one time. If you care about your health, you will not shop here until adjustments are made. read more

Each time that I have shopped at this new location I have appreciated how customer service oriented the associates are, particularly Jennifer and Blanca. I choose to shop during the dinner hour to avoid massive crowds now found at Broadway Plaza, especially on weekends. I've been in there from half an hour up to one hour, selecting the appropriate fragrances as gifts -- and also for myself : ) Thanks to the friendliness and helpfulness of the associates, I prefer to shop at this brick and mortar location when I can, rather than online, especially since products can sell out online and still be available in store! The coupons that I receive via mail draw me in for the free products and the additional percentage off of purchases, as well as in-store coupons are an added bonus. You do need to layer the fragrances (body wash, lotion, mist) as they do tend to fade throughout the day. However, the thrilled look on the faces of those to whom I have gifted retired fragrances, etc. make the purchases worthwhile : ) read more

Rude! I literally hated everyone in this store. I had called in to ask a question and instead of saying goodbye and for me to have a good day, they just hung up. When I got in the store, they gave me so much attitude and trouble for trying to do an exchange and insulted me. Okay so I may be dating myself but something about Bath & Body Works evokes my post college, first job days-when indulging in their lotion, body spray and body wash all in matching scents was the epitome of budget spa luxury. Over time my tastes have evolved and I tend to gravitate to products that are more all natural with lighter scents. However, around the Holidays, Bath & Body Works draws me in with festive 3-wick scented candles, limited edition holiday scents for bath & body as well as insane deals & coupons. I'm glad they are back in Broadway Plaza, albeit in a small space that was a bit cramped and chaotic. The ladies working there were super friendly and customer focused. For $28 I walked out with 3 Shea Butter scented creams (buy two get one free) and a complimentary body spray. They sent me on way with a $10 off coupon (good for any purchase between now and Mid-December) and a smile. For a few brief moments I was transported back to my late 1990's happy place and excited for my new lotions. read more

Plus they have a super sweet sales associate, Annie, who was uber helpful and was able to check me out in store not at the register, which was a great way to skip the line! They also have a 10$ off your 30$ purchase for email rewards members! I cannot believe what a great deal I got, much better service than the sun Valley location! They are better organized, too! Very clean, however, if you have little ones, beware bringing them here if the like to grab or run etc... breakable stuff at kid level alert! I find this place to be well overpriced when compared to similar products available online and in stores. I had my daughters return their purchases both times and the latest return was a rude experience which was frustrating. One daughter had her rececipt and one didnt (from the previous day purchasing together). Although I realize that each store is entitled to their own specific policy language, the online policy language is broader and not specific to the individual store. I also asked the employee and manager to bring up the transaction history (giving them a separate receipt within 5 minutes of the second purchase and they refused and said it 'was not possible'. I also asked for a digital copy of their store-specific policy (which is clearly outlined on every receipt that you are entitled see it upon request, which per 9/14/22 has changed (per their website) and they refused to do so and referred me to the old plastic one at the front desk. This company has failed and is willing to lose a LOT of business over my daughter's $2.12 purchase. This is not a money issue, but a principle issue. I'm disappointed and we and our huge network will never use this store again. I've never had any negative experience in any Walnut Creek store or any store in until now. Yuck. Next..... read more
