Kohl's - After finally finding the dressing rooms, half of them were temporarily "out of order".

Just a well-managed store all the way around. We went on a holiday when sales were going on. I like Kohl's because the values are great, especially during holiday sales. The quality of the merchandise is high, and Kohl's cash is great. Who doesn't love Kohl's cash? It's free money to spend next time. The selection is of merchandise is excellent and I almost always find what I am looking for. I am a fan!

It's sad…read morethat they strategically time their sales to not be running when they know customers are going to be redeeming their Kohl's cash. It pains me to pay full price. Especially since I know it will be 20-40% off in a few days. Oh well, such is life. I try and think of it as free money to spend, even though I know deep down that I spent a lot to get that Kohl's cash. I had never shopped at this location before. After going to 2 different locations last week looking for dress shirts and ties for hubby, we wanted to seek out a new location. First, I had a really hard time finding the dressing room to try on a few things. They need better signage so you can find it! Then, half of the dressing rooms were closed off! What could prompt a plain room to be "out of order"? It's not like there are plumbing issues. I also recommend that they install more hooks inside the dressing rooms. I like to hang things that I plan to buy on one hook and things I'm not buying on another hook. That's in addition to the initial hook I used when I arrived. That way, it's easy to exit and put the items in the correct place. I've even been to some stores that have fun with it by placing a sign by the hook - "coming home with me", "didn't work", etc. There didn't seem to be as much stock as the other stores I had been to recently. Hubby found a pair of tennis shoes and I found a Croft & Barrow sleeveless top. I usually have to do an alteration to the arm hole openings because they make them so huge. I tried on the top inside out so I could see if I could alter it. I could and I did. I still had to pay on top of the Kohl's cash since the two items were full price.

Dillards policy is the manager can approve or deny any return with tags unattached, so I treated it like a request (not a demand) and kindly asked if I could make a return--as I said the tag was off the item, but it was unworn, I had the tag with me, and I had only purchased it 4 days prior. Based on people's reviews I thought it would be difficult, but it was super easy-breezy. Pro tip: I was kind, courteous, unassuming, and I told them the dress was beautiful it just didn't fit my style (which is true) and I thanked them like crazy for their help. Shopping wise, I found this beautiful Free People dress afterwards and the lady who helped me find the right size (I was torn between 2 sizes and she helped me narrow it down) was super helpful. The dress is 100% cotton and feels high quality, so to me it was worth the price. This location has a lot of 100% natural faber options--I was impressed by the selection of 100% cotton and linen options too. Important takeaway here: If you are demanding, impatient and rude to people, you will have a bad experience no matter where you shop. Treat people with respect and compassion, and you'll have a great experience.

Summary: On Thursday, 2/19 around 2:00 PM at Dillard's NorthPark, a manager confiscated my phone,…read morerefused to come down to return it or explain why, and handled the situation in a dismissive, disrespectful way. I walked away from an intended $750-$1,000 purchase and will not return to this location. My family and I have shopped Dillard's for decades and have spent thousands of dollars over the years at numerous Dillard's locations across the country. NorthPark has been my primary Dillard's location for years now. Over the years, I've built relationships with multiple sales associates at this store and other Dillard's locations. I came in for my normal seasonal shopping, trying on a large stack of items with full intent to purchase in the ~$750-$1,000 range. I intentionally came on a weekday afternoon because it's typically low-traffic and makes it easier to shop and try items on without being in anyone's way. The store and department were essentially empty. I was shopping across the men's floor and had a fitting room in the Men's Big & Tall area because I have a go-to fitting room there that's larger and has a chair/bench. I was actively in the middle of trying everything on. I stepped away for a few minutes to grab a different size after telling the associate I would be right back. I left my personal belongings in the fitting room (my wallet, key fob, AirPods, my own clothes/jacket, etc.) because I was returning immediately. I was still mid-try-on and even wearing items with tags on when this happened. When I came back within about five minutes, my fitting room had been completely emptied. I asked what happened and was told the manager, Kenny Harris, cleared it out because there were "too many clothes." Behind the register, I saw a pile of merchandise with my personal jacket literally sandwiched in the middle of it, but it was only part of what I had originally selected. I later found out another pile had been placed in a different location. This was clothing I had spent 45 minutes to an hour pulling from around the store to try on and purchase. But my phone was gone. The associate told me the manager had confiscated my phone and had it in his pocket. I then stood there waiting over 10 minutes for the manager to come down, return my personal property, and explain why this happened. During that time, another associate who has helped me in the past also started looking for him around the store because she also couldn't understand why a manager would confiscate a customer's phone, especially when my other personal belongings were left behind. The associate called again and was told the manager was "busy," would not come down, and that if I wanted my phone back the associate could go upstairs and get it. Think about how insane that is. I'm a paying customer, my personal items are mixed into piles behind the register, and I'm being told to go upstairs to retrieve my phone from a manager who took it. I went upstairs with the associate. When we reached him, he appeared to be casually chatting with other employees and did not treat the situation as urgent. He handed me my phone with a quick "here," refused to discuss the situation ("nothing to talk about"), and spoke to me in a dismissive, disrespectful manner. When I asked for his last name so I could document the incident, he became visibly offended, raised his voice, and said he was the manager of the whole store. He continued to refuse any discussion, repeating that there was "nothing to talk about." I walked back downstairs, changed back into my clothes immediately, and left, walking away from the entire purchase. Whatever their internal policy is, confiscating a customer's phone and then refusing to come down to return it or explain why is completely unacceptable. I will not be returning to this location. If you value basic customer service and professionalism, I'd recommend ordering online or choosing another location. Otherwise, shop with retailers that still prioritize service like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, or Saks.

This Target has an excellent selection of basically everything you could need: toys, a grocery section, personal grooming, clothes, household goods and small appliances, shoes, TV and other audio equipment, sporting goods, etc. You name it, they probably have it. The aisles are wide and easy to navigate. Target is renowned for its low prices and I would generally agree although prices have gone up in the past few years. I guess that is generally true now that the government has decided to place an additional tax on goods in the form of tariffs. There is plenty of parking. The one complaint is that it is virtually impossible to find an employee on the floor if you need assistance. They have added a self-check out in recent years, which is good because the lines typically move very slowly. It's a busy store with lots of customers. Overall, it's a pleasant shopping experience.

We tried repeatedly calling the store when our pick up was over 12 hours late and every time someone answered they hung up on us. I couldn't even get someone on the 1-800 customer service number. Let me tell you, I haven't been disappointed in the level of quality service and care in all Nordstrom stores I've shopped in, but for now I must give a shout out to Brenna who is a manager in Bazille, the 3rd floor restaurant. Brenna has a sixth sense about her and can feel when someone is in need of assistance. The other day I was having lunch after being home and hospital bound for 3 months. To say I was anxious is an understatement! Her familiar face made me feel like everything would be okay. After having a most delicious lunch, I was ready to leave.... And who do you think was right beside me? Brenna was there walking me to my car, helping to get my walker folded, and giving me a "you'll be just fine hug"!
