I am a huge customer at tj maxx because it is my favorite store in the world . I purchased a bracelet that I loved dearly but it broke. Tyson was able to find the receipt and call me back the next day saying that he could give me store credit for the bracelet. Now usually places will not do that , but my shopping experience here has made me realize that I will forever be a customer at TJ maxx due to the outstanding customer service that everyone has given me here besides the lady with short jet black hair that works in the jewelry department. Yes you can find a great deal on clothes & shoes. But what makes me love TJ Maxx the most, is actually their food section. They have lots of gourmet treats including chocolates, baking mixes, oils, spices and even greens powders. My next favorite thing is their beauty section with body washes, hair styling aids, nail polish & makeup. If you see something you like, grab it bc it prob won't be there the next day. I've been to this location 1x and never again. They have a good selection of merchandise but the girls working the registers are so rude. Total bottom of the barrel DMV rejects. I was the ONLY person in line, aside from my sister, and the two cashiers were too busy conversing to notice us standing....waiting....and waiting. Finally we walk directly to the counter in front of them. Do they acknowledge us? Nope. I finally asked if either one had any intention of helping me. The answer a sigh, an eyeroll and a you need to wait in the line till we call you. What fucking line. I was the line. I slammed the two cute Max & Cleo dresses on the counter and left. If you're going to act like a ass with a chip on your shoulder and a shit attitude perhaps a job as a mortician might align better with your people skills. Just thinking about this incident even months later still puts me in a rotten mood. I think customer service is so important and even if your product is amazing, if I'm treated like shit I wont buy it. read more

This is my favorite TJ Maxx! They are a runway store, so they get a lot more high-end designer pieces. BUT, the best finds are home decor (lots of seasonal items), cell phone cases (case mate and Kate spade under $20), and gift wrap/gift bags! read more

I love TJ Maxx!! I wish there was one in Alaska. It's nice to be able to buy some brand name clothes at a lesser price. I would rather spend $100 on a bunch of clothes rather than $100 on only a few items. That is were TJ Maxx comes in :-) The lady helping in the dressing room seemed a little cranky and irritated at the customers. I could just say it was cause she was older than what you would normally see in a department store but it wasn't. The customers kept bringing out the clothes all mixed match and hangers missing so she had to go grab them from the room. I'm sure thiscan get very annoying after awhile but she should definately just grin and bear it or asked to be moved to a different section. It made it quite uncomfortable for me and was scared to give her back the clothing I didn't want. Other than that i really enjoyed this department store!! read more

I use to love this TJ MAXX but the employees that are here now seem like they hate the world . I was looking at makeup and one of the employees with short auburn hair comes and stands next to me. I moved over because i thought she may have needed to get something but she just stood there staring at me . I asked her if I'm in her way and she gawked at me " I'm an employee ! I work her ! " . I explained to her that i was asking if i was in her way because i will move . A coworker came over to her and they had a verbal exchange in Spanish . I walked off to the moisturizer sections and she followed me over there , once again hovering around . Everything that i looked at she adjusted it . At the point i became frustrated and expressed to her that she was making me uncomfortable. There was another male hovering around with a beer belly and a faux hawk walking around with covergirl products . Pretty sure he was some type of under cover security which is fine if i was a thief ! If the goal is to make sure that people feel so uncomfortable shopping there that they never come back , they have succeeded. Very odd experience. I used to love coming to this TJ Maxx years ago, when I worked nearby. I dropped in recently for a pick me up (I'm a sucker for the smorgasbord beauty sections at stores like these). I was not greeted by any employee. The lady stocking the beauty section seemed suspicious of me, a decently dressed nerd with a cane. She popped her head in my aisle to see what I was doing, but didn't ask if I needed any help. The muscle (security guard? I dunno) thanked all the people in front of me for shopping as they left. I love TJ Maxx!! There are a bunch of nice things for less. Some of the items are even cheaper than grocery stores such as chocolate, kitchen appliances and bathroom detergents, shampoo etc. The only negative point is the cashiers bothering you every time with the TJ Maxx credit card promotion...I explicitly said I wasn't interested right at the beginning but no matter how bothered you look they keep inundating you with tons of information. Please, avoid. You want your customers to have a pleasant experience right? Then shut up. Everything else about this store is impeccable. read more

Wow, this store ranks high in cleanliness, organization and product. I found a new rechargeable Ipod speaker that I'll be tethering to my bike, a fancy casserole dish that was used for a post Thanksgiving brunch chorizo con papas dish and lots and lots of other great stuff. That same rechargeable speaker was on Target's shelf for $30 but I got it for $16. They also had plenty of my favorite Calvin Klein undies in stock but unfortunately not one pack in my size and there is no way I'm squeezing my frank & buns into a size 32. Macy's sells those same skivvies for $24 but I can score two packs at that price. Oh yeah I'll be back. read more

Like a good little college student, I got an internship whilest in Arizona. Unfortunately, my wardrobe looks like a little boys, shorts and baseball tees, so I desperately needed to get some new clothes. And thanks to my aunts, I had two gift cards to TJ Maxx so alas I ended up here. The selection wasn't good, everything was strewn about like I was in a teenage boy's room, and the fitting rooms weren't well kept. I walked out with one outfit and a bit of a headache. I love TJ Maxx but after my wife stepped on a piece of glass and was bleeding through her sandal I was disappointed . There was glass all over the ground by the candles. I understand accidents happen ok. But, we went in 2 weeks later and saw glass all over the floor AGAIN. TJ Maxx has been around for 45 years, so they must be doing something right! They carry items that seem destined for Macy's but never make the cut. The categories are similar to any department store: clothing , jewelry, housewares, and home decor. With items are marked down just enough that you have to buy it and make it work. The parent company also owns Marshall's so there is a strong similarity product-wise.Over the years,I have purchased a couple ties, some sheet sets, some kitchen gadgets and spice blends from the gourmet section. Their clothing is not great, but occasionally you can find a pair of non bedazzled jeans or a Calvin Klein dress shirt that will do the trick. There is an interesting electronics cart, with gadgets crammed into damaged packaging making them an impossible gift, but otherwise the proximity to Petsmart and Sprouts market is unparallelled in the category of random Wednesday shopping. read more

Went here to shop and had some dude just yelling in people's faces. I can understand having a maximum capacity. But if you have a line of people as a manager you need to come out and voice that to the customers waiting. This is part of customer service. All I'm saying is that whoever the man with the glasses is didn't need to yell no at someone for asking "if you're letting people out, why can't you let people in?" They need to have one worker maintains the doors and at least voice to the people coming in or waiting that they can't come in and need to come back another time. Period. Retail is about customer service. There is no need to yell at customers for asking questions. This is my first time going since the pandemic. Not all of us know the rules and regulations of each store. That's why it's the job of an employee to communicate, not raise voice and using demeaning tones. I think this store is more concerned about closing 10 minutes early to make their close easier then they are about the safety of those waiting, the face and brand of the company, and the customer service. Or even making money. Typical! It's not hard to open a door and say "hey folks, sorry we're closed" but clearly nobody is in charge here or cares. Skip this stop and try Ross instead read more

This is the best TJMAXX in the whole state of AZ. I have been shopping at this location for 20+ years and I have been to just about every location. Helpful tip from experience if your any size like myself which is smaller, the selections go quick so its kinda a pain having to frequent so often but if you want what your after you will be on top of it and get them while they are out on the shelf because they go fast. GREAT selection of watches, under garment and the professional styling tools are some amazing finds. LOVE THE fragrance selection too... I love this location... Yes the Paradise Valley is my #2 hotspot if Scottsdale does not have what I am looking for. STAFF members are always nice and friendly even when I go in after working and my eyes are suuuuper bloood shot red form working with chemicals .... thanks guys. read more

Love this place for home furnishings!!!! You make your home look like a designers homes with the great furnishings being sold:) The clothes are horrible though. I can't find anything my size much of the time. I'm a large, but the "large size" doesnt fit me well there. I think its because they brings in clothes that is a petite large or just completely out of style. Not a fashionista style at all!!! Otherwise this a great place to shop at for everything else. read more

Occasionally you can score some hottie 2xist undies. But the real gospel. Is found in housewares. TONS of great stuff from vases, sculptures, wine glasses, Calphalon, little boxes you have no use for but they're so darn cute you just have to buy them and find space on some random shelf or dresser at home....TJ...Thanks Jesus. First of all I never write reviews. I purchased a Yankee Candle from this location. The candle's wick was too close to the glass causing the candle to blow up and the glass to shatter. I took it back to the store and the store manager Rick refused to offer a refund or even a partial refund. Good prices are not worth it if T J Maxx refuses to stand behind what they sell. read more

The staff at this TJ Maxx deserve a humanitarian award for their kindness, generosity, and resourcefulness! I was in town last weekend for a friend's bridal shower. On Saturday, the bride bought a dress at another retailer, and on Sunday, we were helping her get ready and discovered that that retailer had left the security tag attached! Unfortunately, the other retailer wasn't going to open until an hour after the bridal shower was supposed to start. At the concierge's recommendation (thanks, Omni at Montelucia!), we called this TJ Maxx and spoke to Gilberto, who was immediately understanding and offered to help, if he could. We brought the bride, dress, and receipt to this TJ Maxx. Gilberto and his colleague immediately realized it wasn't actually the kind of tag that could be taken off with their current system, but they found an older removal device and took it off in under two minutes. They could have easily been suspicious of us or refused to help, and instead they responded with the utmost kindness and professionalism. The bride had a wonderful time at her shower, and she looked beautiful. THANK YOU SO MUCH! read more
