Well, it was time for my first fitting, and I officially haven't seen my dress in a year! My…read moreappointment was scheduled for 5:30PM on a weekday, and it seemed a bit hectic when I arrived with my mother and sister a half hour before. I was asked multiple times if I was the bride and what time my appointment was. I assured them that I knew I was early, and would obviously wait until the prior appointments were done. They told me to take off my coat and take a seat until I could go upstairs to try on my gown. I did as I was instructed, and I waited. 5:39PM I was heading up the stairs with my family following behind me. We went into the fitting room exactly at the top of the stairs, where there was a square pedestal, and two full length walled mirrors. Nothing fancy, and nothing run down; it was a pretty understated dressing room. The woman helping me was being very insistent on me wearing a slip skirt under my gown to give it more poof, but I explained that I am not the princess type, and I wanted to keep it A-lined. Again, multiple times she insisted, and I remained firm. Then, at last once I had the gown on, I said I would try on the skirt underneath to see what the fuss was all about. We were first told it was $140, and then she said it was $150, and she showed us the bag that the skirt was in. I was a little uncertain at first, but everyone makes mistakes. So, since my gown did have bead work at the bottom of the lining, the skirt did what it was supposed to do. The store owner said, "She's not supposed to look like herself; she's special for the day." I agree with the special part, but I don't want to look like a princess if that wasn't my "vision." These women are old-school Italian. If you are not used to this, you will of course hate this experience from the start. They have been in the business for years, and talk to you like a granddaughter or niece. They will not flatter you if you do not look flattering, and I appreciate the brutal honesty. I know alot of these reviews were complaining about alterations pricing. Alterations are FREE for the bride. I am getting my gown taken in at the bust, but at no extra cost! They ordered the correct size for me, and it fit like a glove. I can't gain or lose any more weight at this point. March 19th - Second Fitting!

She quickly pulled her suggestions of gowns from the shop that were available. I said "yes" to the perfect engagement party gown of my dreams! I would highly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for the perfect dress/gown for your party and/or events. It was so quick and easy and I purchased the 2nd dress that I tried on, so the dress chose me. Without Giana's suggestion, I would have never found this beautiful gem of a gown. If I could give zero stars I would... I had a really…read moredisappointing experience with this bridal boutique. We were required to order bridesmaid dresses 8 months in advance, which already felt unusual. After ordering, I found out I'm pregnant and the wedding will be when I'm about 5 months along, so I called the store to ask if I could simply change the size since the dress hasn't even arrived yet. The dress is from a designer whose website shows 8-9 week shipping for special orders yet the store insisted the process takes 8 months. At first I was told the bride requested the dresses early, which wasn't true. Later they changed the explanation and said their shipping takes longer than the designer's... even though that is who they place their orders through so makes absolutely no sense. After speaking with the bride, she was also told that we had to order before December because of upcoming tariffs that would supposedly increase the price. However, the dress is currently the exact same price to order today, which makes that explanation confusing as well. The bride also mentioned to the consultant during ordering that some bridesmaids could potentially be pregnant, but later I was told that if the bride had specifically said that someone is trying to get pregnant, they would have advised ordering a larger size. Apparently the wording needed to be extremely specific in order to receive that guidance. Despite the dress not even being in my possession yet or theirs, I was told I would have to purchase an entirely new dress and could not change the size or receive any credit. I understand bridal items can be final sale, but the inconsistent explanations and lack of flexibility were really disappointing especially given the circumstances. I wish there had been more honesty and willingness to help. I would absolutely never give these people my business and if you're thinking about it BEWARE. They will rip you off and try to manipulate you with zero remorse. Might I add the wedding is still 5 months away
