When I go to shop for RD items, I indubitably pick up other miscellaneous goods, including but not limited to: shampoo, conditioner, skincare, shoes, bags, frames, home stuff, dog stuff, baby clothes, clothes for me. I'm not sure of the ladies name who gives me a cart (shame on me) but she has the best sense of humor. Phyllis in Jewelry is the consummate professional. And a sincere woman. Always engaging, helpful, never pushy. And a sincere woman beyond her professional demeanor. Sebastian is a character. I see the smile behind that mask . My point is the entire staff makes it worth the drive. A bit far from Santa Monica. And of course the merchandise & Jewelry makes my trip even better. Fernando, our cashier was very rude and boarder line sexist. I found it very disrespectful that he had that attitude towards me as soon as my husband walked away to check on an item. He was upset that I wanted him to check on the price of some items as the whole store was going thru markdowns, he lied to me and said they were not doing markdowns and got upset when I said that was not true as I just saw them on the floor labeling markdowns. I asked him to check on the pricing for me and he sighed really loudly and walked away. He came back very smug with one of the items as it was regular price and when I asked to check on the second item he got even more bothered. The second item was marked down and you could tell that he was bothered by that. He had a terrible attitude, was rude and talked back to me. He didn't want to give me his name and didn't want to get a manager. I finally talked to a manager and she apologized for my experience but at that point I had already had the worst experience I've ever had in a retail store. I'm so bummed because we are regulars and credit card holders and this left a bad taste in our mouths. I'm highly disappointed in the service I received, wont be coming back. read more

I come here a lot to browse around because...why not? XD It's within walking distance to my house and sometimes you just need to walk off a big dinner. This location isn't the biggest or most organized but I've found a lot of good items. I always stop by the home decor and holiday section and the kids section (for some reason I never browse for clothes haha). I've found a lot of cute books for my baby at great prices. Overall, you can definitely find good deals here if you look around. Customer service is ok but sometimes the check out line is really long. read more

Usually stocked with everything. I tried shopping for my dad and they don't have any clothes for men. Mostly for women

I happen to stop by and found a cute coffee cup set that I really wanted to get. But not only was the line long. But I witnessed the only two cashiers at the registers reusing the same wipe to disinfect the counters and credit card readers. I get that it can be a pain to have to do it, but just do it. Both cashiers would grab the wipe, wipe down the counter, and tuck it back under the package of wipes they had for that purpose, and then pull it back out when it was time for the next guest. When I mentioned it to the manager, I suggested maybe a spray bottle with paper towels this way it ensures that they are using fresh each time and she told me they've done it both ways. Brand name products, but at an affordable price. Sure why not?! Plenty of parking spaces so lets not fight for one. :) Depends on how lucky you are and how patient you are at going through things, you might end up with something affordable, for example, a shirt from Lucky for half the original price. Because it's affordable, you just need to make sure the item that you are purchasing is not defective. You can find almost anything here: clothes, pet supplies, shoes, purses, accessories, furniture and many more. I love coming here just to walk around to walk off my calories. This place is usually busy on the weekend so I usually come here during weekdays to beat the crowd. Oh and they have a restroom inside the facility. There are two stalls in the women's restroom, but there were no paper towels nor toilet paper in one of the stalls. Love the hand soap!! read more

When shopping for a bargain tj maxx is a place to go and see what they got on hand. This place was surprising in that the watches that they had were brands such as Gucci, Juicy Couture, Movado and many others. I have found many cool deals where items were substantially less. Clothes and handbags are very popular and a favorite for many ladies. So whenever you need to find a gift start off here first and if you can't find it then go to the malls !! :) The only one thing about this tj maxx is the lines can seem to take forever sometimes and other times they are as fast as ever. So I just think it is the day and time you come here. Also the parking could be far but who doesn't need a little bit more exercise these days? read more

I love shopping at TJ Maxx cuz they have some pretty good deals from time to time, and I have been coming to this location for about two years now, my shopping experiences were good until tonight. Tonight I was so "lucky" to came across the rudest service ever in here, by a lady in her light blue jacket yelling at me and kicking me out because it's 8:02pm. Most of the time we, the customers, will still get some time to finish our purchase after their business hour, and there were lots of people still shopping around in the store tonight. This lady came right next to me and yelled at me said 'the store is closed, you didn't hear the announcement, you need to leave now". I was surprised by her horrible attitude, but still I replied her with a smile and said I understand that you guys are closed and I'm not the only one left in the store (with my items in hands and on my way to the check put area), are you gonna yell at each one of us like this to kick us out? she said yes, but then walked to the front and started to move around the shopping carts instead. I got so mad that I left without buying anything, not sure if that lady is having the attitude towards everyone or just having discrimination issue towards Asian (cuz I'm the only one got yelled at). Then I talked to another lady by the door, I said sorry that I'm making them work after hours and I told her what happened earlier. she replied to me friendly and professionally said no worries, and I can take my time to finish my purchase. I told it's fine, next time. After reading some reviews and found out I'm not the only one being treated like this, really hope that the management can do more training on customer service. I hate this place...and by that, I mean I really LOVE this place! Great retailer for off-price/surplus/out-of-season designer brand items. I've spent way too many hours in this store each time I come in. Usually, end up with more than I planned to get (kind of like when I go to Costco). I've gotten SO many great deals here and have to force myself to check out before I do more damage. I haven't been to the location in Pasadena, so I can't compare it to another TJ Maxx, however, I can tell you that clothing, accessories, shoes...everything is of higher quality than Ross (I know, it's a different type of store). It's also more clean and organized...although it could use more work in those areas. Since TJ Maxx carries designer brand items here, prices are going to be higher than Ross. HOWEVER, for the brands that they carry (i.e. Michael Kors, Dooney & Burke, Kate Spade, Betsey Johnson, Kooba, Kenneth Cole, Isaac Mizrahi, etc.), it's really quite a steal!!!! I hope they can re-organize their store a bit more, but regardless, I'm a HUGE fan of this place. read more

Oh just take my money already..TJ Maxx is one of my favorite destinations for shopping since there are good merchandise at discounted prices. This particular location is closest to where I live now and while it does have a decent variety of items to choose from, it is a bit smaller and slightly messy compared to others. The store is typically pretty full so you can really start to feel claustrophobic if you are staying for too long. The plaza has been renovated this year and many new businesses have moved in causing great traffic and difficulty finding parking. Despite that I still hope they expand into the other suites or something so they can have more variety in inventory for everyone. read more

The ladies and guys working here are always so sweet, considerate and helpful. On April 6, 2017 my puppy started barking at an older lady (looks like she's pushing 60, glasses, dirty blonde streaks/dark brown hair, Hispanic looking) working the pet aisle, I felt so bad, she then asked me outta no where what time it is... then said she'll be back in a few minutes to give my puppy time to relax. So considerate of her!!! Like other discount stores, if you're in a hunting mood, and you find something you've been wanting or didn't realized you've been wanting... oh man, I luv the feeling! Recently I found poop bags, $4.99 for 8 rolls (or 160ct.), in pink and baby powder scent (as described in my photo posted)!!! *sniff sniff* mmm. Omg I checked online just now to see if it's elsewhere, it's on Amazon now for $7.99, same brand/bag count but in cheap plastic packaging so wahoo!!! TJ Maxx is awesome. Why the three stars though? Because there aren't enough associates on the sales floor re-organizing the items(especially clothing) so I have an extremely hard time finding clothes and other items. But I guess the fun part is - you never really know what you're going to find! Think of TJ Maxx as a "higher end" Ross with higher quality items (clothing, shampoos, lotions, etc..) In terms of clothing, I've seen some stuff here like Michael Kors, Juicy Couture for women, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and even Diesel! Most of the time, the prices are AT LEAST 30% off RETAIL price.. Sometimes, it can go as long as 70% if it hits the clearance rack! Look for those red tags! This is the perfect place to find a cool gift that SEEMS like it is expensive but really isn't. For example, a 4 pack of Hanes tees cost about ~$10 here while on Amazon they are $10! If you goto Macy's, expect to pay $15-$20. Come and give it a shot at TJ Maxx! You might get lucky and find some nifty high end stuff at a not so high end price! read more

You have all the essentials here for a quick one stop shop. You have shoes, clothes, toys, a few workout gears (yoga mat,etc), home goods, snacks, nail polish. The girl that helped me out at the register was kind. I had to return something within 1 minute of buying something for someone and she didn't give me crap for it at all. I appreciated that. The girl on the floor helped finding something for me but I ended up finding it. It was nice of her to look all over the shelves though. She probably wasn't familiar with the item I was looking for. I always like coming here for a quick buy for something I need without having the hassle of going to the mall and dealing with the parking and shopping traffic. It's right in between Sally's beauty shop and guppie house. Can't miss it. read more

TJ Maxx reminds me a bargain store that reminds me of Ross and Marshall's. They sell some name brand clothing at a discounted price once they are out of season. I usually am able to find good deals but seriously need to roll up my sleeves and carefully sort through the clothes. This location is bigger and more well organized than the other stores. And they have tons of clothing to sort through. It's not as crowded so it doesn't feel so chaotic too. At least shopping can be potentially therapeutic. You can also shop for home items, kitchenware, bath and accessories, shoes, purses, luggages, children's clothes, men's clothes, hair and skin care, hair devices, Etc... It's a good one stop shop for all your needs. Btw, there is free parking in the front. read more

Although I am happy they carry Cat Wine. ;) for our drunken cat needs. I did manage to find a laser toy for my cat. The red lazer forms a mouse. I have been a TJMaxx shopper forever. And have loved all my purchases and experiences, both in store and now online. Which is why I was absolutely disgusted at the wasteful attitude that I experienced in store. I was at the TJ Maxx store Temple City, California store. I wanted to buy some clearance holiday items and had placed them in my cart, the manager of the store approached me and told me I couldn't buy the items because she was going to take them out of inventory. She proceeded to remove them from my cart and throw them into a large box. In doing this she BROKE several of the items that were glass or ceramic. The manager also acted as if my purchase would somehow inconvenience her. This is terrible and upsetting because of CORPORATE WASTEFUL ATTITUDE of the employees of the store. The employees at this store would RATHER BREAK THE ITEMS then sell them to a paying customer. I really do not understand this mentality at all. The general rudeness of the employees I have noticed this increasing attitude at several of the TJMaxx and Marshalls stores. I did not get her name, but it was the evening weekday manager. After experiencing this to the severe degree at the Temple City store, I will be rethinking ever going back there. read more

I've been visiting this TJ Maxx location for years! I have to admit that their selection is wide. I suggest coming earlier in the day in order to find clothing items and accessories to your liking. You can also ask the workers to see when they get new shipments! Perfect place to find designer clothes for a cheaper price. I usually go to the activewear and dog supplies. They have blender bottles here for 7.99! I especially love coming here during the holidays for quick gifts!! read more

This specific TJ Maxx has transformed over the years in regards to the layout of the store. However, the price point has gone up and the variety of brand name items have diminished greatly compared to previous years. Please keep in mind that I've been going to this specific TJ Maxx for about 10 years. Years ago, you can find some HEAT in here for cheap prices. Nowadays, the items aren't as trendy and the prices are a lot more expensive than years past. The service here is still very good and checkout is usually very fast. However, the store is often times messy in certain aisles. I hope the corporate buyers from TJ Maxx would give this store more variety in clothing as well as lower its price points to make it worth while to shop at this store. So you wanna do some discount shopping for new goods. Well TJ Maxx and Marshalls are generally the places to go. This TJM location is pretty close to my place and I have been in here more than a few times. They have a bunch of unique knick knacks, and accessories for gifts that are great, but just be careful that the ones that you are getting are not broken. I have found that these stores including this one are generally a bit of a mess with some broken goods, a number of things randomly shoved into crevices around the store, and low end customer service due to the chaotic nature of the store. Overall I have found some nice things here and passed on many more things than I have gotten due to something being wrong with whatever it is that I was looking at. It could be a broken handle, a chip in something, part of it missing, a stain or tear, etc. So if you are shopping here, be very careful. Overall its an ok place to come but not on my top tier of destinations to say the least. Hopefully you have a chance to make it here and get whatever it is that you are interested in without it having been damaged. read more

Holy T.J. GrossMAX. Your TOILET-ATTAXX! I am writing a review on YELP as I have received no response from the email I have sent to your company. On June 30, 2014, at approximately 4:30pm, I visited the TJ Maxx at 5749 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780. During my shopping I used your Ladies' restroom. Upon flushing, the toilet malfunctioned and drenched more than half my body in horrible, putrid toilet water. It was as if a hydrant had sprung a leak and was shooting water out with enough force to physically move me backwards (about three times the force of your average bathtub faucet), except the water was coming from a used public restroom toilet. I was indescribably embarrassed and shocked at what had happened and asked an associate, Theresa, if I could speak to the manager to inform her of what had happened. Theresa proceeded to try to locate the manager for the next 5-10 minutes via radio and even apologized that it was apparently a challenge to find the manager. About ten minutes later Kim, the acting manager (according to her), approached me as I stood there mortified and still-dripping with filthy water as other shoppers looked on. She began by very defensively trying to blame me for what had happened and attempting to somehow portray it as if it had been my fault. "Look there's a sign right there saying it's out of order", Kim said to me, annoyed that I was taking her time while pointing at two signs that Theresa had *just* put up after I informed her of my incident. I am not a confrontational person, and would have been more than happy if a manager had simply acted like a human being and showed some sympathy for my publicly embarrassing situation. Instead, Kim continued to act very aggravated and said "So what do you want? What else do you want me to say to you? .... Okay? ....And? We've already called the plumber." To which I replied, "You're not even going to apologize?" I was answered with a very curt "Sorry!" My boyfriend, who witnessed the whole situation, was as much in shock as I was over the lack of care and concern an "acting manager" showed to one of their customers. After being treated so rudely after being so thoroughly humiliated the only thing I could do was leave the store feeling very defeated, angry, and frustrated along with 1) soiled and drenched shirt, shorts, and shoes; 2) soiling my boyfriend's new leather seats; 3) thoroughly ruining the dinner plans we had. I am only taking the time to write this to you so that perhaps future patrons of your stores can experience a higher level of customer service than what I obviously received today. A person who cares so little about their customers and who can act in such a ridiculously unprofessional manner, such as Kim, truly reflects poorly on your company. read more

I was shopping in this store on Thanksgiving Eve, an employee named Rochelle stepped behind me, sigh heavily and say " I just did this!!!!" meaning she just cleaned that rack that we are selecting the items from. Then I promised her I will make sure I will not ruin the order . But she stand behind me and tell me "yes I am waiting for you !"'in a blunt manner meaning I am waiting for you to leave. I have already complaint that incident to the manager. I cannot imagine any retailer should keep employees with such a terrible customer service. read more

Real talk, I've been to better TJ Maxx's with a better selection, cleaner racks and friendlier service! You definitely need to come here when it isn't busy (around 5/6pm) because when it's busy...it's CROWDED! You have to fight other people to just enter the shoe aisles and look at clothes! People give you serious death glares when you pick up something they want first... it feels like it's Black Friday every night or something. The selection is also very disappointing... I can never find good bras or shoes in my size (and trust me, being an Asian American with size 9 feet, you would think I would have a hefty choice). The racks are also haphazardly organized...don't even think about going to the beauty aisle! Gives you a fatty headache just from looking at the mess. I'm also giving this TJ Maxx 3 stars because the staff here is just downright unfriendly. I know that working at a retail store is not exactly the best place...but some people need their attitude in checks! One time I asked if I could just try on a pair of heels with dress slacks outside and the lady just said "NO." With a really foochy face...the kind of face like she just smelled stinky feet or something. I hadn't been here in a while and decided to drop by to pick up a yoga mat. It was newly remodeled and looked extremely clean ! I was honestly very surprised because I had driven up to the store with little to no expectations. Of course, since they keep it so nice and clean, the deals aren't as sweet as shopping at Ross. BUTT, you do get to feel like your shopping luxuriously at not-so-luxurious prices, so I'm not really complaining. The only thing that I had a problem with at this store was one of the check out ladies. She was quite loud and obnoxious. NOT something I want to be around after a long day at work. She had stuck a "QUEEN" mattress sticker onto her name tag and when I came up to register, she decided to tell me the story of how it came to be. I wasn't particularly interested in hearing her story, but did so anyway since I was just going to be standing there anyway until she finished ringing me up. She went on to tell me that she had originally wanted to write "QUEEN BITCH" on her name tag, but her manager told her it was too unprofessional and not appropriate. Well DUHH ! WTF. Why would you think it wasn't ?! I mean, really? Then after telling me that ridiculously stupid story, she turned into a "sales maniac" practically forcing me to sign up for a TJ Maxx credit card. If I said "NO." the first 7 times, I am not going to change my mind the next 15 times. Thank you very much. (And no, I'm not exaggerating, she LITERALLY asked me THAT MANY TIMES. I was extremely irritated by that. It made the store feel THAT much cheaper.) I love shopping at TJmaxx. Staffs are very friendly at this location. This store location is alway a mess!! Unorganized. I shop here recently and again today, stop by to pick up few things... because I'm in the neighborhood. 1. Hanging long dresses on low rack is a no no. I know you're putting all the clearance in one place but not the long jumpers and dresses. 2. Mixing active wears and casual clothes in same rack is just confusing. Most of the clothes are not in same section. 3.Handbags are not neatly displayed. The section in the back with bags and neat beauty products is quite SLOPPY. I could point out some more issues, unfortunately this is not my job. I just want to bring this to your attention and make some changes and hopefully in the near future making shopping more pleasurable. Where is store merchandiser or floor managers? Check out one of my favorite location, TJMaxx in Walnut. This Walnut store is alway neat regardless of the time, any customer walk in and the place is always neat & very organized. read more
