Bath & body works seemed to have moved from the first floor to the 2nd floor near cpk. Its really cramped that when another customer was on my side, i wasnt able to go through because she was just standing there. I couldnt go from the other side because there were 2 others blocking the path. They currently have sales but not good enough. I didnt try going deeper in since it mightve taken me 10 minutes to squeeze my way back out. read more

I came to Bath and Body works since my sisters wanted to grab some lotion. I saw a great deal and I believe Gutto was such a great worker and helped me a lot with my order! I got the bag bundle for $19.95, a mist/spray, hand soap and a 3 wick candle including a bag! TIP: The lines are pretty long since it's the holiday season! This store is on the first level of Santa Anita mall near lululemon and the Lego store! The restroom is in between those two stores! As I walked to the back of the store towards the soap area, one older female employee greeted me and asked if I needed help, but before I could continue speaking to this employee, a middle-age female brunette "told" the employee to clock out. It appeared that the brunette was a store supervisor and she resumed her conversation with another employee after interrupting the only employee who offered to help me. I am not surprised by the negative reviews regarding the customer service at this store. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I felt people should know before shopping here. My family and I were checking out when we politely asked for one extra bag to help protect our candles from breaking. Karen, who was helping us, already had a noticeable attitude, but things got much worse when the manager, Leslie, suddenly interrupted and loudly said, "NO EXTRA BAGS!" in a demanding and disrespectful tone. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable--just one extra bag to safely carry fragile candles we had just purchased. To make things even more frustrating, we even offered to pay for the extra bag, but we were still met with the same rude attitude. Instead of treating us with basic courtesy, we were made to feel like we had done something wrong for simply asking a question. Customer service is about treating people with respect, even if the answer is no. Leslie's tone, body language, and overall attitude were completely unprofessional, and Karen's attitude only added to the unpleasant experience. A simple, polite explanation would have taken less effort than the confrontation we received. Everyone has bad days, but customers shouldn't be treated poorly because of it. If you choose to work in customer service, professionalism and respect should come with the job. I've shopped at Bath & Body Works many times before, but this was by far the worst experience I've had. Something as simple as asking for an extra bag--even offering to pay for it--turned into an unnecessarily uncomfortable interaction. I can only stand this place for small amounts of time the aromas that are ever present hit my nose and I sometimes get a headache. We came to get my mother in law some lotions and things. But ended up having to go wait outside to regroup before going in again. Some staff were friendly and helpful, others not so much, they had attitude and didn't feel like working that day. We had a very disappointing experience at Bath & Body Works. During our visit, four different associates interrupted our browsing to repeat the same promotions we had already been told, which felt pushy and disruptive. When we finally made our selections and went to check out, we were told we had the wrong combination of items for the deal. After switching products multiple times -- based on staff guidance -- we were still informed we had chosen incorrectly. This happened three times in a row. At that point, we put back nearly $150 worth of merchandise we had planned to purchase and only bought a small gift because we were on our way to a birthday party. We left frustrated and decided not to spend any more money there. A bit out of the way for me but it's definitely one of the better stocked BBW that I have access to. Went here for Candle Day & they had the egg cartons for candles and the nice tote bags (at least for the first day) and even by the last day (even though pickings were slim), I managed to find some candle scents I've never seen before (classic / seasonal cross overs with the holiday scents, candles from the summer release, lots of fancy food based candles etc.). They also still had the Mahogany Teakwood INTENSE 3 wick candles that were all out elsewhere. Service is also fast and friendly. Solid location. read more

My friend and I are strolling around the mall after lunch. Then we saw Bath and Body Works so busy. We decided to join in as well. We circled the store. Tried and smelled the lotions. Used the hand soap and practiced our hand washing skills. Lol. However, we saw that the line to the register is so long even though there were like 4-5 registers. So we decided to come back another day when it is not busy. The store is fully stocked, organized and the sales associates are knowledgeable about their on going sales. The workers were really kind and helpful , I needed to find some specific candles because I was sent on this mission but what do I know about candles . Not much but with their help I was able to find which ones to get. Nina was very helpful in finding the candles for me that had lavender and eucalyptus. Overall, love bath and body works. Could spend hours trying to pick out a candle at any of their stores. And they often have great sales. This particular location, in my experience, tends to be exceptionally busy on the weekends and is just hectic all around. The staff will repeatedly interrupt your shopping to let you know about whatever sale is going on - 4 times in one visit, on this occasion. The line to check out spirals through the store. It's packed. The aisles are narrow as they typically are. It's overwhelming. Yes, it's in a big mall, but so are many other B&BW branches. This one is one I'll be avoiding in the future. The hustle and bustle during a shopping experience is simply not for me. Nearby Pasadena's location is much calmer, with all the same merch and same sales. read more

Extremely Disrespectful and Discriminatory Experience On June 28, 2025, I spent atleast $1,500 at this Bath & Body Works location in Santa Anita Mall (Arcadia, CA). After paying for six large, heavy bags worth of items, I simply asked for help carrying them to my car or at least to the front of the store. The manager, Brianna, refused. She claimed she would call security to assist, but then changed her response and said neither staff nor mall security could help. I asked if they could hold the bags overnight, since I couldn't carry them all alone -- again, they refused. I ended up calling my husband to come help. He had to wake up our kids and drive from home just to help me pick up my bags. Even then, I was told I needed to remove everything from the store immediately or leave. When I asked for a refund, I was told to come back the next day -- but still take the items with me first. Security was called on me -- not to help, but to escort me off the property. The entire situation was humiliating and felt rooted in racial bias. I was treated like a problem, not a customer -- despite spending a large amount of money. I have video evidence and have filed a formal complaint. I will never shop here again and encourage others, especially people of color, to think twice. read more

Five-stars to the staff at Bath and Body Works, especially during a time of pandemic. I recently made a quick visit to this store once the Covid-19 virus was starting to bubble up in hopes to find some hand sanitizer. All drug stores were already sold out, so I had to resort to this place. The place was super clean and the staff was friendly, even during a time of slight panic. At the time that I had gone, we weren't on an official lockdown just yet, so they were fully stocked - I'll tell ya though, people were lined up at 10AM to get their fair share of hand sanitizers. As I write this, I'm really just wishing we get some normalcy soon. Everyone stay safe and healthy. I am unable to maintain a 5-star rating for this particular branch of Bath & Body Works (BBW), located at the Westfield Santa Anita shopping center. I casually strolled into one of my usual BBW spots, looking to exchange a candle I've purchased in the previous semi-annual sale (SAS). I was in a relatively good mood. Having been a loyal customer of the brand for the past few years, little did I know I would walk out feeling so insulted for a simple customer service transaction. The candle I've brought back is 100% unused. Per the company's exchange and return policy, I am eligible for an even, one-for-one exchange for any reason. This is not, in any shape or form, abusing any sort of loophole. In fact, this very notion is stated explicitly on my receipt, which to my understanding, is legally binding. In other words, I am following the official directions to a t. In addition, please understand, I am only looking to exchange ONE SINGLE ITEM. The sale associates and manager on the floor, however, informed me that all items from SAS are final, and are not qualified for any type of exchange. If I'd like, instead, I could be given store credit for the amount I paid for. (Note: only store credit is offered. My other viable option, credits back to my original method of payment, was not even mentioned.) When asked when was such a new policy implemented, they replied, "About 2 months ago." I knew in my mind this was most likely a fib, aka not. The. Truth. And it was, indeed, just as I suspected. Tsk tsk. I decided to call the cooperate customer service phone line to sort this out. I am an honorable individual. If this was actually something BBW has come up recently to better guard its business welfare, then fine. I'll be happy to comply. However, after being on hold for a long time, I was able to talk to a store relationships representative that confirmed to me that, the aforementioned rule does *NOT* exist. I repeat, what the branch has told me at the cashier *IS NOT* a true policy. It wasn't a surprise to me. However, it felt good to be validated and supported. She (from central corporate) then offered to call the store (to on-site location) directly to help facilitate this exchange. And only did this happen, was I able to exchange out one measly candle. Again, may I emphasize, ONE SINGLE ITEM. The entire phone call took 30 minutes. I was delayed at the mall for a total of 45 minutes, when this could've been an "walk in and walk out", easy peasy type of trip. I understand why the store lied. I understand there is a recent onslaught of consumers, looking to take advantage of BBW's generous exchange policy. And that's horrible for everyone; no one wins in this Tik-tok fueled debacle. However, I was not one of the baddies. I did not return any used product. I did not return an extravagant amount of merchandise. I brought back one single, unused candle, with my receipt, hoping to exchange for something else I'd enjoy better. That's the entire point of their policy. I was playing by their exact game rules. I was being a good customer. And yet, I was made to feel horrible for essentially being the brand's fan. (To illustrate clearer: I spent around $250-300 in the last SAS, so trust me when I say, I firmly believe I am not in the wrong here.) The main reason why I decided to make a drastic drop from 5 stars to 1 is, at the end of the day, you simply cannot just *LIE* to your customers. You cannot just make stuff up to better your store's sales report statistics (aka "metrics"). You may fool your average customers, but followers who regularly purchase from the store will know when you're pulling a fast one. In addition, my time is valuable, and requiring me to waste nearly 1 hour in order achieve something within reasons is quite upsetting. I encourage all customers who know they're doing nothing wrong, when refused a reasonable service at this branch, contact cooperate office for a resolution. I would like to point out that all parties involved, me and everyone at the Santa Anita location, remained courteous and civil during the entire incident. I am not the type that likes to make a fuss or a scene, but I would like to be treated fairly under the company's own written policies. I used to frequent here in Arcadia's (will start off again) 'Bath and Body Works,' as well during the Pandemic because I worked in Arcadia for a year before severe inflation issues went off and hit us. Anyways, this branch didn't disappoint~they seemed to always be fully stocked of 'hand sanitizers,' and 'sanitizer holders,' 'hand lotions,' you name them. I like the convenience of the location: it's located inside Westfield, Santa Anita. I normally parked by Nordstrom and walked over. Cashiers were always fast and efficient. Rewards Membership: Download the app - My B&BW to earn points for freebies (travel sizes and full sizes) as well as various e-coupons. Birthday Freebie: Travel size body wash or lotion of your choice. You can easily spend a good chunk of money in here whether you're buying something for yourself, family and friends. They're always running different/special promotions, and if you play your cards right (with the various e-coupons and freebies to redeem), you can easily leave here with tons of products, lol! Whenever I enter this store, I average about 10 minutes to two hours in here. Always sample before you buy! They have a sink area where you can test out the different types of soaps scents/textures as well as lotion testers all over the store. Sometimes, I even like coming in there just to wash my hands after eating something from the food court, hehe! Staff: They're friendly and helpful in here. A manager named Laura (MOD at approximately 7pm), said I couldn't because I purchased during a promotion. This makes no sense!!! Rather than swapping out a scent, she wanted to give me a refund - poor business acumen. It was hard to find a sales clerk since they were in the front. There wasn't much selection of hand soap flavors. So I was able to find hand soaps of 6/$27. Because of COVID the mall is currently closed. However, we are able to order online for in-store pickup! I didn't want to pay the shipping fee and saw the in-store pickup option, so I decided to try it out. How it worked was that when I arrived at Zone B curbside pickup, I called the store and told them I was here for pickup. The associates were very quick in finding the order and bringing it out to my car. It was definitely a special and different experience! It was a steal and I have stocked up on 8 lotions this year. I don't think I will need anymore lotion for the whole entire year now. Service was fast and quick, not what I was expecting on Black Friday. Everything went by so nicely that I just had to write about it.
