For anyone that has owned both cats and dogs, you will know the difference in the grooming department. My cat Earl has always been terrified of any kind of grooming or even getting his nails clipped. It is a major feat to get him to sit still and then he is traumatized for another day. Back story: (he was a stray kitten left alone at 5 weeks old on the side of a busy Utah hwy). My son found him, took him home and the rest is history. Suffice to say, at 2 years old, he is well taken care of, but this was his first-ever full groom. Fast forward to Tom. I got an appointment within days and was willing to pay to get his nails clipped and his sanitary area groomed (he has long hair). He quoted me a very reasonable price and I took Earl to him. Durng the apppointment, Tom was very communicative sending me updates, positive comments, and asked if he could trim his belly - which was matted. I knew that he had given Tom a challenge (hence the tip) - but Tom handled it with ease, gentleness and understanding. When Earl and I got home, I noticed the cute bow that Tom put on him. His fur was evenly cut, all nails done, and he looked great. Best of all, he was normal - no trauma. That says to me that Tom has a gentle energy about him and that speaks volumes for a groomer. Do not use this groomer! He was unorganized, late, and unprofessional. He works out of his garage and everything was a mess. I was originally scheduled with a different company who cancelled last minute and I went on Yelp looking for another groomer when TJ messaged that he had openings today. I checked out his reviews and his website. Seemed worth booking. He had several dogs roaming around who he said had been dropped off by neighbors needing last minute dog sitting and he didn't know the dog's names. I did not want to leave my dog because I was suspicious. I stayed while he washed and cut his hair. He did not follow what I asked him to do. I could have cut his hair better I like supporting small businesses but TJ is NOT prepared to run his own business at all! If you have questions message me for more details. read more

Incredibly unprofessional. I left a message and Tom was quick to call me back and we made an appointment for the following day. I was going to be about 15 minutes late so I texted him to let him know. I arrived to the house and called him but the call kept going to voicemail. Note that there is no way to ring the doorbell from the outside - you have to open a gate (that says beware of dogs) and walk down a small entryway to the front door. I rang the doorbell (after calling a couple of times and sending a text message and getting no response) and immediately heard a dog barking inside and a kid shouting to his dad that someone was there. I then heard the kid say "should I say you're not here?" Then the kid opened the door and told me his dad wasn't home. I explained that I had an appointment and the kid repeated that his dad wasn't home. I don't know what's going on but this was incredibly unprofessional. My cat gets extremely anxious in the car and it makes me angry that there was no communication. I called this company to schedule an appointment based on their excellent reviews, but my experience was anything but. I'm very disappointed. read more

I called TJ after desperately looking for a groomer for my mangy cat. Ive gone to grooming shops before and had people botch my cats fur and make him look patchy haha. Tj actually gave him the best cut I had ever seen my cat get. My cat had been needing grooming for awhile, but due to financial issues I had been putting it off until I could save for it. He took me within two hours and was very communicative throughout the whole ordeal and he helped ease any nerves or apprehensions I had. Absolutely the WORST!!!!!! I'm happy to see that he did good with a couple other dogs but for my two, he obliterated them. NOT exaggerating. Seemed nice when we met. All seemed to go well but when we picked them up, my two pups were completely jacked up. How? Upon pick up I see blood dripping out of one of their mouths. I asked hey I see something red. He said "oh really? maybe a little something from inside." I went to look further and my puppy's tongue has been cut a third through from the left to the right. I said woah what the heck, his tongue has a massive gash! He looks at it and ACTUALLY SAYS TO ME . . ." oh this happens all the time, it's not that big of a deal." I said his tongue is sliced like a snake's tongue and it's not that big of a deal? Blood is dripping out of his mouth. We part ways from there and out of precaution I take them to the vet to see what we can do or if it's "not that big of a deal"; to them. Meanwhile, on the way to the vet we are noticing that they both have red marks all over their body from being shaved too close. Poor guys are trying to gently lick up their wounds from this butcher "groomer" on the way to the vet. We get to the vet and show the main person and she said my goodness what happened. We mention this is the result of a groomer and she said this was borderline abusive. They have an in-house groomer of 20+ years and said none of that has ever happened to any other dog anywhere around them and has never seem such irresponsible procedures before. On top of having to pay around six hundred dollars just for stitches to piece back his tongue, there were razor burns and speckled blood spots all over their body. I have photos to prove it all. Message if you would like to see. In addition, I have a mountain of text messages directly from the groomer who did the work showing massively rude comments to us. So on top of dealing with the worst groomer ever, he decided to blame the dogs. BLAMES the DOGS!!!!!! Tells us to not come back. Are you freaking kidding????? I video'd the entire visit upon pick up because we were so excited to see them and see my kids reactions. We never said anything except positive words and thanking him for taking our dogs until I saw the blood. After seeing the blood I still maintained professional customer composure and he comes out of nowhere to blame the dogs for moving around, and telling us to not come back. Literally five paragraphs talking nuts. I will be MORE than happpy to share the text messages as well because you HAVE TO read them before considering coming to this dude. DO NOT COME TO this GROOMER!!!!! He is an absolutely beginner at grooming, customer service and was an absolute ASS to us. Please message me anytime and I will be MORE than happy to share our dog's photos as well as this jerk's text messages he had the audacity to write to us. If I didn't make it clear by now, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! There are WAY better places we have found and MORE than happy to share where we go now and the dogs are SO happy each time. read more

We've been through so many groomers that struggled with him but Tom was so patient and willing to put in the extra time needed to give my dog breaks since the buzzing sound of the clippers scare him. But Tom finally helped my dog get over his fear of the buzzing and grooming in general and it's such a relief.
