By the time the police left, and I got off the phone with my insurance company, it was 11pm on a…read moreThursday night. Where was I going to find someone to come board up my patio door window at that time of night? I called a few places, left messages, but Speedy Board-Up answered the phone. They said they'd arrive in 90 minutes, and they pretty much did. There was no nonsense, they walked in my front door and immediately got to work. Patty has such a soothing demeanor, and really put me at ease after the traumatic events earlier in the evening. They certainly were speedy. For the board up, easily five stars! Before they left they took initial measurements to replace the glass in my door. The next morning I made arrangements for a second set of measurements to be taken. I left work early to meet the contractor, he took measurements and left. Within a business day I was given a reasonable quote. I had to work with my insurance company and home owners association (which took two weeks, groan) but then I finally called Speedy back and asked for them to please order my window. They said they'd be in touch within three business days to arrange installation. Four days later I called to follow-up. I was told they don't do door windows with wooden frames. That would have been nice to know maybe the night they first boarded up my window and took those first measurements. And so I'm searching for a new window company, on a Friday afternoon before a Holiday week. For the window replacement, one star.
