Make sure be there early before the closing time, and your tank is not too old; otherwise it needs to be recertification. Just better off to exchange new tank somewhere. All of my propane tanks were up to date and had been inspected and certified just a few weeks prior by another employee. Despite this, the new employee made me wait over 30 minutes before filling my tanks. What made the experience worse was his attitude. He was demanding, unpleasant, and far from customer-friendly. Instead of explaining any concerns professionally, he came across as unfriendly and difficult to deal with. After nearly 20 years as a customer, I was very disappointed by the way I was treated. I understand safety procedures are important, but customer service matters too. Filling up my three propane tanks was super easy and convenient at Mutual Propane. In the past, I would go to U Haul to do it, but the process was slow and sometimes the machine was out. I did a quick search on Yelp and discovered Mutual Propane. I pulled right up, unloaded my propane tanks, and the guy filled all three tanks for around $30. Great price and great service! I will definitely be returning. They also sell propane tanks for cheaper than the hardware store. If you purchase a propane tank from them, it comes with a free refill. I've been coming here for years to fill my propane tanks for my business down the street and i have never had an issue until recently With this guy jeremy During my last visit the attendant gave me a hard time because my forklift tanks were laying down in my van. He refused to fill them, claiming they were not properly secured. What made this frustrating is that I have a custom-built rack specifically designed to keep the tanks from rolling or moving during transport. The tanks were secure, yet the attendant seemed more interested in arguing than listening or providing good customer service. I've always been treated professionally by other employees, but this experience was completely different. The attendant's attitude was unfriendly, dismissive, and unnecessarily difficult to argue or get any positive feedback from this guy Long-time customers should be treated with respect, especially when they are making an effort to transport equipment safely and responsibly. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOTORHOME TO THIS BUSINESS FOR PROPANE WORK. I recently was referred to Mutual Propane by my RV Repair Service. I called the Mutual Propane Office and scheduled an appointment with the lady in the office. She advised that I should be there at 7:00AM and that I would likely need to leave my MOTORHOME overnight. I arranged for my wife to follow me to the Mutual Propane location to take me home after dropping my MOTORHOME off at the location. The yard man, Herman, refused service. He said the office personnel are not authorized to make appointments (WHAT?). Both my wife and I were upset at having gotten up early only to be turned away. Herman advised that we should come back the next day at 7:00 AM. Being stupid, I trusted that being turned away was an aberration. We came at 7:00 AM the next day as advised by Herman. Once again, Herman did not service my vehicle. The message was DO NOT BRING YOUR MOTORHOME HERE AS I DO NOT LIKE WORKING ON MOTORHOMES AND I WILL DO ANYTHING I CAN TO GET YOU TO LEAVE SO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO WORK ON YOUR MOTORHOME. Just for reference, I rarely, if ever, take time to write reviews, let alone negative reviews. In addition to being lectured and yelled at, I was treated rudely and dismissed. As you RV owners know, finding a good propane spot can be a bit of a challenge. Yesterday, I found a very convenient spot in Gardena. It is a bit of a drive in some cases, but if you time it right, it is worth your time. I was looking for a spot to fill up my 35' RV and found a decent one in north Torrance. Their price for propane was $2.95/gal, not bad. However, on the internet, I found Mutual Propane in Gardena they had propane for $2.30/gal. Since they are a distributor, its just like buying it at wholesale. They also have a easy in and out set up........A plus for RV's and trailers alike......Got a 40' toy box....not a problem. They also said that if you open a Yelp account and check in when you get there, they will knock off another $0.15. I called their toll free number with supposedly 24-hour service, trying to just get pricing for exchange or refill of a 20 pound propane tank for a grill, to compare with the price at our local 7-11 store. All they could do is take a message for someone to call me back in the morning. So much for their 24-hour service!
